[SET COMMENTS]
Mega Scizor serves as a great bulky switch-in to Tapu Lele, Mega Latias, Kyurem, and Clefable thanks to its amazing typing and bulk, while Swords Dance also lets it fill the roles of late-game cleaner and general offensive threat. It can also use the aforementioned Pokemon to get momentum, be it through U-turn or Swords Dance. Bullet Punch makes up for Mega Scizor's crippling Speed stat, and it also serves as a great STAB move to revenge kill Kyurem, Mega Diancie, Calm Mind Clefable, and Gengar. U-turn can be used to make Mega Scizor a defensive pivot while also hitting Mega Latias, Slowbro, and Tangrowth. Knock Off can also be used to cripple switch-ins such as Zapdos, Toxapex, and Corviknight, possibly letting Mega Scizor break past them in the long term. Roost gives it longevity to check Pokemon like Tapu Lele, Mega Latias, Rillaboom, and Kartana in the long term. Light Metal has a niche use over Technician before Mega Evolving in reducing damage from Low Kick Greninja. 248 HP and 16 Defense EVs along with an Impish nature allow Mega Scizor to avoid a 2HKO from Choice Band Kartana's Sacred Sword after Stealth Rock, while the Special Defense EVs allow it to better take hits from Tapu Lele, Kyurem, Clefable, and Mega Latias.

Water-types like Slowking, Rotom-W, and Tapu Fini help Mega Scizor with its one big weakness in Fire-types. Slowking and Rotom-W in particular form a great pivot core with it via Teleport and Volt Switch, respectively. Tapu Fini also provides it with Misty Terrain support, allowing it to set up on Slowbro and Rotom-W without fear of being burnt. Mega Scizor in return can help these Water-types by pivoting into troubling Grass-types like Kartana and Rillaboom. Ground-types like Gastrodon, Garchomp, Landorus-T, and Gliscor can also help check Fire-types, and they apply pressure to some of Mega Scizor's best counters in Zapdos, Toxapex, and Magnezone. These Ground-types can also support Mega Scizor with Stealth Rock to wear down switch-ins like Corviknight, Heatran, and Zapdos, provided Zapdos's Heavy-Duty Boots are removed. Mega Scizor can, in return, switch into and threaten annoying Grass-types like Tangrowth and Rillaboom and Ice-types like Weavile and Kyurem. Mega Scizor tends to struggle with entry hazards wearing it down constantly as well, so it appreciates hazard removers like Zapdos and Tapu Fini.

A set running Swords Dance, Superpower, Bullet Punch, and Dual Wingbeat can be used but is rather niche and generally only seen on select hyper offense builds. Such a set should use a 120 HP / 252 Atk / 136 Spe EV spread with an Adamant nature to maximize bulk and power while outspeeding Modest Magnezone. Sand Tomb can be used to trap and eliminate Toxapex but is rather unreliable due to needing certain rolls to work. Sand Tomb can also hit Magnezone and Heatran, but it fails to hit Kartana and Corviknight. Pursuit may also be used to trap and potentially KO Tapu Lele, Reuniclus, and Mega Latias but does not have much use otherwise. Curse can be considered over Swords Dance to beat Swords Dance Rillaboom and Gliscor due to the Defense raise, but not setting up twice can leave Mega Scizor fairly passive.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Fire-types and Fire-type coverage**: Mega Charizard Y, Volcarona, Moltres, and Heatran do well in switching into Mega Scizor and threatening it out. The latter three hate having their Heavy-Duty Boots or Leftovers removed by Knock Off, though, as it can make switching in much harder when Stealth Rock is up. Other Pokemon with Fire-type coverage like Mega Diancie, Mega Latias, and Clefable also make it hard for Mega Scizor to switch into them.

**Water-types**: Toxapex and Rotom-W can burn Mega Scizor with Scald, which makes it impossible for Mega Scizor to break past them. Toxapex also has access to Haze, which can shut down Swords Dance attempts quite well.

**Electric-types**: Zapdos and Magnezone can resist Mega Scizor's main STAB move in Bullet Punch and retaliate with Heat Wave and Hidden Power Fire, respectively. Magnezone in particular can trap Mega Scizor, provided it lacks U-turn, and remove it from the battle.

**Steel-types**: Corviknight and Skarmory pivot well into Mega Scizor's STAB moves and can potentially use it as fodder for Iron Defense, or U-turn or Spikes, respectively.

**Residual Damage**: Burn and entry hazard chip damage can rack up on Mega Scizor very quickly and, alongside the damage it takes from what it has to check, can force it to use Roost. Burn, in particular, can make it hard for Mega Scizor to threaten the foes it has to check and can give Clefable, Mega Latias, and Reuniclus an opportunity to set up.

Mega Scizor serves as a setup sweeper and generally threatening presence in the metagame thanks to Swords Dance, while also being a great bulky switch-in to what? this needs to me more fleshed out imo, talk about how its typing allows it to switch into and threaten things like lele, mlatias, most clef, etc. and how they can be used for momentum / setup opportunities. It possesses a great defensive typing that provides it with many resistances alongside impressive defensive stats. filler. also mention why light metal is chosen prior to evolving. Swords Dance separates it from just being a defensive pivot and can allow it to clean late game. Bullet Punch makes up for Mega Scizor's crippling Speed stat and can allow it to be offensively threatening thanks to the priority. It also serves as a great STAB move to abuse against hit Clefable, Mega Diancie, and Kyurem, along with being able to revenge kill setup sweepers like Mega Garchomp, Gengar, and Mega Gallade this bit seems weird since u dont actually revenge any of these provided they are at full health, instead mention cm lati, reun, and cm lele. U-turn can be used to let Mega Scizor act as a defensive pivot and generate momentum for its team, although it doesn't hit anything in particular while also hitting Mega Latias, Slowbro, and Tangrowth. Knock Off can also be used to cripple switch-ins such as Zapdos, Toxapex, and Corviknight by removing their items and can possibly break past them long-term. such as Zapdos, Toxapex, and Corviknight, as well being a great utility move in battle to annoy teams. Roost gives it longevity and can allow it to come in multiple times check Tapu Lele, Mega Latias, Rillaboom, and Kartana long-term. 248 HP and 16 Defense EVs allows allow Mega Scizor to avoid a 2HKOed from Choice Band Kartana's Sacred Sword, while the rest of EVs were dumped into SpDef are placed in Special Defense for it to better take hits from Tapu Lele, Kyurem, and Pokemon like Clefable, and Mega Latias, and Mega Diancie wouldnt mention dia since mfire is pretty common coverage. Mega Scizor also hates burn and hazards, crippling it and forcing it to constantly use Roost, along with letting it operate not so well as a pivot. idt this is ncessary, u discuss it in checks & counters Mega Scizor is also annoyed by certain Pokemon it struggles to break past like Zapdos and Toxapex and these Pokemon can prevent Mega Scizor from making progress in battle quite easily. u covered this already before & its in checks and counters

Water-types like Slowking, Rotom-W, and Tapu Fini help Mega Scizor in its one big weakness in Fire-types. and the former two providing Slowking and Rotom-W in particular form a great pivot core in with Teleport and Volt Switch, respectively. Tapu Fini in particular can also provide also provides it with Misty Terrain support to protect it from status and give it more opportunities to set up and potentially sweep allowing it to set up on Toxapex, Slowbro, and Rotom-W without fear of being burnt. Mega Scizor in return can help these Water-types by serving as a pivot into troubling Grass-types like Kartana and Rillaboom. Ground types like Garchomp, Landorus-T, and Gliscor mention Gastrodon can also help check Fire-types, alongside while also applying pressure to some of Mega Scizor's best counters in Zapdos, Toxapex, and Magnezone. These Ground-types can also support Mega Scizor with Stealth Rock to wear down switch-ins like Corviknight, Heatran, and Zapdos provided its no Heavy-Duty Boots are knocked off, alongside Mega Scizor being able to come in on Ice- and Fairy-type attacks and threaten them out. <- this bit seems kinda awkward, maybe make it a different sentence about how sciz checks weav, cm clef, kyurem, etc which the grounds appreciate Mega Scizor tends to struggle with hazards wearing it down constantly as well so it appreciates teammates like Zapdos and Tapu Fini to Defog away entry hazards. keep them off.

Superpower can potentially be useful to hit Magnezone and Heatran and be a more reliable way of checking Kartana and Corviknight. However, it would appreciate some more Speed alongside this to outspeed Choice Specs Magnezone and be able to Swords Dance on the potential switch-in and score an OHKO with Superpower as it does not OHKO otherwise. reccomend them a different spread to be used with superpower, such as 252 hp 120 sdef 136 speed careful, which outspeeds magnezone. Sand Tomb can be used as a means of trapping Toxapex and eliminating it from the battle but is deemed rather unreliable due to certain rolls being needed for Toxapex to be eliminated. Sand Tomb can also hit Magnezone and Heatran, but fails to hit Kartana and Corviknight and make Mega Scizor a way of gaining momentum for them otherwise. Pursuit may also be used to trap and potentially kill Tapu Lele, Reuniclus, and Mega Latias but does not have much else other uses use otherwise. Curse is another option that can be considered over Swords Dance to outpace beat Swords Dance Rillaboom and Gliscor due to the Defense raise but can otherwise leave Mega Scizor passive prior to setting up to take time to get going and potentially sweep.

Checks and Counters

**Fire-types**: Volcarona, Mega Charizard-Y, and Heatran do well in switching into Mega Scizor and threatening it out. mention that volc / defensive tran / moltres HATE knock off Other Pokemon with Fire-type coverage like Mega Diancie, Mega Latias, and Clefable also make it hard for Mega Scizor to switch into them.

**Water-types**: Toxapex and Rotom-W can threaten Mega Scizor with a burn that can cripple it and make it impossible for Mega Scizor to break past them or most teams. Toxapex also has access to Haze that can shut down Swords Dance attempts setup sets quite well.

**Electric-types**: Zapdos and Magnezone can resist Mega Scizor's main STAB in Bullet Punch and retaliate with Heat Wave and Hidden Power Fire respectively. Magnezone in particular can trap Mega Scizor, provided it lacks U-turn, and can eliminate it from the battle.

**Steel-types**: Corviknight and Skarmory do well to pivot into Mega Scizor's STABs and can potentially use it as setup fodder for Iron Defense sets, along with being a way of grabbing momentum be it and can take advantage of Mega Scizor with U-turn or Spikes respectively.

**Residual Chip Damage**: Burn and hazard chip damage can rack up on Mega Scizor very quickly and, alongside the damage it takes from what it has to check, it would always be forced to Roost. This also makes pivot sets in particular rather hard to use since they would always suffer from this damage upon coming in. this last bit isnt relevant imo, mention how burn also cripples its ability to threaten the things it has to check, like how a pex burn means it will struggle to check the weavile pex is paired with and so forth

Mega Scizor serves as a setup sweeper and generally threatening presence in the metagame thanks to Swords Dance, while also being a great bulky switch-in to Tapu Lele, Mega Latias, and Clefable thanks to its amazing typing and bulk, but only if they are lacking a Fire-type move.Talk about its defensive traits first, as the main reason to issue sciz is for its defensive utility, kyurem also deserves a mention in the list of mons sciz checks bc sciz is probably like the 4th best check to that also remove the "if they are lacking a fire move" part bc its out of place when talking abt positive traits It can also use the aforementioned Pokemon as a way of getting momentum be it U-turn or Swords Dance. Light Metal has a niche use over Technician before Mega Evolving in being able to take less from Low Kick Greninja. move this point to after the moves section Swords Dance separates it from just being a defensive pivot and can allow it to clean up late game. It also serves as a great STAB move to abuse against Clefable, Mega Diancie, and Kyurem, along with being able to revenge kill setup sweepers like Calm Mind Reuniclus and Mega Latias. Bullet Punch allows Mega Scizor to alleviate its middling Speed, while allowing it to revenge kill Pokemon like Calm Mind Clefable and Gengar gar is a better example bc the Psychics take nothing frm bp U-turn can be used to let Mega Scizor act as a defensive pivot and generate momentum for its team, while also hitting Mega Latias, Slowbro, and Tangrowth. I think you can probably streamline the top half of this paragraph a bit. Swords Dance and Bullet Punch define its role, and right now you're using five sentences to talk about these two moves alone (for example, you mention in two separate places that Swords Dance lets Mega Scizor clean, unlike other defensive pivots- check underlined phrases).
Mega Scizor serves as a great bulky switch-in to Tapu Lele, Mega Latias, Kyurem, and Clefable thanks to its amazing typing and bulk, while fulfilling another role of being a setup sweeper and general threatening presence in the metagame thanks to Swords Dance. Knock Off can also be used to cripple switch-ins such as Zapdos, Toxapex, and Corviknight by removing their items and can let it possibly break past them in the long term [RH]. Roost gives it longevity and can allow it to check Tapu Lele, Mega Latias, Rillaboom, and Kartana in the long term [RH]. Light Metal has a niche use over Technician before Mega Evolving in being able to take less from Low Kick Greninja. 248 HP and 16 Defense EVs along with an Impish nature [uncaps] allows Mega Scizor to avoid a 2HKO from Choice Band Kartana's Sacred Sword after Stealth Rock, while the rest of EVs are placed in Special Defense for it to better take hits from Tapu Lele, Kyurem, Clefable, and Mega Latias.

**Residual Damage**: Burn and entry hazard chip damage can rack up on Mega Scizor very quickly and, alongside the damage it takes from what it has to check, it can force it to use Roost. The burn status, Burn, in particular, can make it hard for Mega Scizor to threaten the things foes it has to check and can give Clefable, Mega Latias, and Reuniclus an opportunity to setup on the crippled Mega Scizor. set up.
