ORAS OU Mega Scizor + Hoopa-U (Got me to 1500+ ELO)

I decided to make a Mega Scizor team because all my other Mega Scizor teams were disaster so:

Clefable @ Leftovers
Ability: Magic Guard
EVs: 252 HP / 172 Def / 84 SpD
Calm Nature
- Moonblast
- Stealth Rock
- Thunder Wave
- Soft-Boiled

Clefable is a ridiculously good Pokemon. At the first look, it`s stat may not be that impressive but Clefable gained the abilities Magic Guard and Unaware, making it one of the common walls in OU. Another good stat about it is a 95 bast SpA. which is nothing to laugh at. Moonblast is a 95BP move that can deal massive damage even if it is used by Clefable because of the STAB.

It also has access to Stealth Rocks making in a very good lead that can counter one of the most common-used lead, Garchomp.

Moveset details:

Moonblast:
As stated before, a solid hiting STAB move.

Stealth Rock:
Everybody likes rocks.

Thunder Wave:
Making every fast Pokemon useless lol.

Soft-Boiled:
Restoring HP is a recommended thing if you are using a tanking Pokemon.

Hoopa-Unbound @ Life Orb
Ability: Magician
EVs: 32 HP / 48 Atk / 252 SpA / 176 Spe
Naive Nature
- Drain Punch
- Gunk Shot
- Psyshock
- Dark Pulse

Now, Hoopa-Unbound is like old times` Greninja (but a slower one). Nothing really wants to switch into this thing. 160 base Atk., 170 bast SpA. and 130 base SpD. are nothing to laugh at. It`s 176 bast speed and Naive natures ensures that it will outspeed 70 base speed, even those with speed adding natures such as Bisharp, Breloom, and a non-mega Metagross.

Moveset details:

Drain Punch:
Always good to restore HP.

Gunk Shot:
Hoopa-U`s Gunk Shot is the way to deal Clefable and Sylveon.

Psyshock:
With Psyshock, Hoopa-U makes a good counter for Mega Venusaur.

Dark Pulse:
A very powerful STAB move, 2HKOing Hippowdown.

Rotom-Wash @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 Spe
Bold Nature
- Volt Switch
- Hydro Pump
- Will-O-Wisp
- Pain Split

Rotom-W is the physical wall of the team. It`s excelent defensive stats and max EVs on HP making it possible for Rotom-W to take hits.

It also hits hard Pokemon like Heatran, Landorus-T and Azumarill.

Moveset details:

Volt Switch:

It can do that VoltTurn thingy with Thundurus and also hit Pokemon that are weak to electric.

Hydro Pump:
A very good wallbreaking move that hits hard Heatran, Lando-T and other Pokemon too.

Will-O-Wisp:
Nobody likes to deal with physical setup sweepers/all-out attackers.

Pain Split:
Every good defensive Pokemon needs a HP-recovering move.

Conkeldurr @ Assault Vest
Ability: Guts
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Atk / 8 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Drain Punch
- Mach Punch
- Ice Punch
- Poison Jab

A bulky Assault Vest Conkeldurr is a safe switch when your opponent sent outs Rotom-W. Rotom`s Will-o-Wisp boosts Conkeldurr`s attack by x1.5 which is extremely good.

Poison Jab is to deal with slow fairy types such as Azumarill or even a paralyzed fast fairy types such as Mega Gardevoir.

It is also a good counter to Heatran since it can take many hits from it and restore back HP with Drain Punch.

Moveset details:

Drain Punch:
Restore HP and hit hard.

Mach Punch:
Priority is always good.

Ice Punch:
A very good move that helps Conkeldurr dealing with counters. Also, it 2HKOs a defensive Garchomp (though it receives a very annoying damage from Rough Skin and Rocky Helmet)

Poison Jab:
As stated before, to help Conkeldurr dealing with slow or paralyzed fairy types.

Landorus-Therian @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge
- Knock Off
- U-turn

For me, Landorus-T is the second best Choice Scarf user in the metagame (Tyrantrum will always be #1).
However, unlike Tyrantrum, Landorus-T has immunities to both Ground and Electric moves, two common used moves and also resistance to Poison, Bug and Fighting.

It also has access to Intimidate, which is a very useful move against setup sweepers and all-out attackers.

Thanks to it`s Choice Scarf, it outspeeds all the non-scarfed Pokemon in the OU format and even slower scarfed Pokémon.

Moveset details:

Earthquake:
A strong STAB move.

Stone Edge:
Dealing with Talonflame and Mega Charizard-Y or even other rock weakness Pokemon.

Knock Off:
Nothing really wants to lose it`s item, right?
Unless Pokemon with Unburned ofcourse.

U-turn:
KILLS Hoopa-U (even scarfed ones) and allows you gtfo when you don`t want your Landorus to die XD.

Scizor @ Scizorite
Ability: Technician
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Swords Dance
- Bullet Punch
- Superpower
- Bug Bite

The set-up sweeper and another revenge killer in the team. With one swords dance, it can be one of the best late-game sweepers (thanks to it`s bullet punch and resistance to extremespeed).

Moveset details:

Swords Dance:
Making it able to sweep teams so hard.

Bullet Punch:
Revenge-killing and a strong technician + STAB boosted + priority move.

Superpower:
After a swords dance, it OHKOs Scizor`s No.1 enemy: Heatran.

Bug Bite:
Another move that deals massive damage thanks to it`s technician and STAB boosts.

Hiya. I've got a couple suggestions for your team.

Right now I see a couple of problems with Mega Altaria, Mega Metagross, and Mega Charizard X as some major weaknesses.

To alleviate your Metagross weakness I suggest the Bulky Swords Dance Set on Mega Scizor. The extra bulk allows it to near effortlessly tank most attacks thrown at it mainly on the Physical Side. It then uses Metagross as set-up fodder as well as Altaria lacking Fire Blast. Not to mention its an overall better set than the Offensive Swords Dance set.
Scizor @ Scizorite
Ability: Light Metal
EVs: 248 HP / 44 Atk / 16 Def / 200 SpD
Impish Nature
- Bullet Punch
- Knock Off
- Roost
- Swords Dance

Next for Conkeldurr I suggest Serperior instead. Your main reason for using it is for dealing with Rotom-W but seeing the lack of another WinCon and virtually no Special Attackers Serperior fills the void pretty well. It also has a decent Match-up vs balance which your team may have struggled with. It also lures in Ferrothorn and Scizor who don't expect a Hidden Power Fire. FYI: Against Rotom-W Clefable is a good Switch In as burns don't harm it due to Magic Guard.
Serperior @ Meadow Plate
Ability: Contrary
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Hidden Power [Fire}
- Dragon Pulse
- Glare
- Leaf Storm

I suggest a spread of 72 Atk / 196 SpA / 240 Spe with a Naive Nature if you favor outrunning Diggersby and Heatran.
If you prefer more power run 72 Atk / 252 SpA / 184 Spe with a Naive Nature if you want to outrun Mega Tyranitar and below.
  • For the 1st Spread: 72 Atk allows you to OHKO Cleric Sylveon with Gunk Shot as well as an OHKO on other uninvested Faries except for Diancie. 240 Spe allows you to outrun positive base 78 Pokemon, meaning Diggersby and below. The rest were dumped into SpA.
  • For the 2nd Spread: 184 Spe allows you to outun postivie base 71 Pokemon, meaning Mega Tyranitar and below. Same Atk investment applies. The rest were put into SpA which means maxification.
Have fun and good luck!

Thank you so much for your suggestion! I tried it and it actually helped me a lot. I found a lot of trouble dealing with Mega Venusaur, so I did a calculation with both Hoopa-U sets you provided, which one do you think is better?
252 SpA Hoopa Psyshock vs. 232 HP / 0 Def Mega Venusaur: 270-318 (75.2 - 88.5%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
196 SpA Hoopa Psyshock vs. 232 HP / 0 Def Mega Venusaur: 260-308 (72.4 - 85.7%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
If I choose the first set I would do more damage to this and to other Pokemon but if I choose the second set I would do less damage but outspeed Heatran, and all these Pokemon you provided.

Speaking of Hoopa-U, what about giving it an Expert Belt?

What would you suggest me?

BTW this is a replay with my team, with your suggestions (I used Hoopa set 1) when I had to deal with a Mega Venusaur team:
http://pokemonshowdown.com/replay/ou-256376385

What I am concerned about is the fact that I don`t know how experienced was my opponent, because I do not agree with some of his plays, such as playing too safe (not predicting at all) and even staying with Talonflame on a 1v1 against Rotom-W, and even then I had a hard time dealing with his Mega Venusaur.
