In Depth
Kaze (Salamence-Mega) (M) @ Salamencite
Ability: Aerilate
Level: 50
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Dragon Dance
- Double-Edge
- Earthquake
- Protect
One of the Main Pokemon of this team and one of the newest mega brought to you by ORAS, he is meant to be fast and a hard hitter. Dragon Dance is good with Rage Powder from Amoonguss which allows him to dodge Ice Beams, Draco Meteors, and any moves that would KO or hurt Salamence. Rock Slide and Icy Wind however are the only problem which if I know the opponent has it I have to pair Salamence with someone who could stop them or just hard switch out. HP is essential for him to be able to use D-Edge while being able to attack again. Earthquake is for hitting both opponents and most of my team either has protect or is immune to it except for Suicune who can tank it. If was to lead with him I usually put him up with Amoonguss to allow him to set up or clean up any pokemon that need to go. His name is Japanese for Wind so I so it fitting to give this flying monster that name.
BullDog (Terrakion) @ Life Orb
Ability: Justified
Level: 50
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Rock Slide
- Close Combat
- Quick Guard
- Protect
The second main of the team is Terrakion. He is the hard hitter that doesn't need to set up but is another reason I need Amoonguss. Amoonguss resist almost all his weakness except Psychic. I thought about giving him Focus Sash but I chose Life Orb instead giving it Gengar. Rock Slide is always used over Stone Edge to hit both targets also causing flinches on Bulky Pokemon like Cressilia and Suicune which really helps in taking them down. I used to have Double Kick to take care of Focus Sash Bisharp and Dark Void Smeargle but decided to change it to Close Combat for power instead. Quick Guard surprised me when I found out how well it works. Takes care of Fake Outs from Meowstic, Liepards and Mega-Kan. Also Brave Birds from Talonflame and Bullet Punches from Metagross. Protect is nessescary to stay safe from Mega-Mence's Earthquake. I named it BullDog because it looks like a Pitbull with Bull horns to me.
KingBoo (Gengar) (M) @ Focus Sash
Ability: Levitate
Level: 50
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Sludge Bomb
- Icy Wind
- Will-O-Wisp
- Taunt
Probably one of the best leads in the VGC Metagame is Gengar. Just a simple set to go fast and survive one hit. I thought about Shadow Ball over Sludge Bomb for the occasional Mawile and Excadrill but I have Will-O plus Sludge Bomb takes care of a lot of Fairy Types which are popular in VGC. Icy Wind is actually for scarfed Lando-T, Hydredigon, and Mega-Gross. Taunt shuts down Cressila and which actuallt poses a problem whtether is the Utility or Trick Room set. The name comes from my favorite Poketuber "TheKingNappy" who names his male Gengars King Boo while the females are named Cheshire.
Shizzy VI (Suicune) @ Sitrus Berry
Ability: Pressure
Level: 50
EVs: 232 HP / 84 Def / 112 SpA / 80 SpD
Bold Nature
- Scald
- Ice Beam
- Snarl
- Tailwind
Named after my favorite YouTube Rapper (Suicune is also his favorite pokemon) who is known for having no chill and uploaded a music video to a certain "Adult" Website, Suicune is an essential member to this team second to only Amoonguss to help other Pokemons to get attacks through. I thought about 252 HP with the rest in SpD and SpA after testing it out decided on the set above that was ideal for him to fufill his purpose. Scald helps dish out burns and ground and rock types like Terrakion, Lando-T and Tyranitar. Ice Beam is for mostly Lando-T and Dragon Types.Snarl lets me decrease any special attacks like thunderbolts which hurt Suicune and Psychics from Cressila which almost wall this team and hurt terrakion and Amoonguss. Tailwind on Suicune+ Protect on Terrakion or Salamence = Almost guaranteed first kill next turn.
Druggie (Amoonguss) (M) @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Regenerator
Level: 50
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Relaxed Nature
- Spore
- Rage Powder
- Giga Drain
- Protect
The Re-directed of the team and probably the most important. I made him physically defense and gave him Rocky Helmet to deal with Talonflame because Amoonguss can survive one Brave Bird or Flare Blitz if it isn't Choice Band. Rage Powder allows me to take hits while allowing Terrakion to let loose a Rock Slide or set up D-Dances wit Mega-Mence. Spore takes care of eneimies that need to be dealt with later or are causing trouble and need to be put down. Protect allows me some time to get HP back from Black Sludge and switch out with Regenarator. Relaxed Nature allows him to take advantage of Trick Rooms. The name is why you should never eat wild mushrooms or do drugs kids.
Vulcan (Heatran) (M) @ Shuca Berry
Ability: Flash Fire
Level: 50
EVs: 180 HP / 252 SpA / 76 Spe
Modest Nature
- Protect
- Heat Wave
- Earth Power
- Flash Cannon
Actually forgot about him after posting. Oops XD. The Ulitmate Mega Mawile wall which does work on my two main. Protect is staple while Shuca Bery paired with Intimdate from Salamence guarantees I'll live through an Earthquake. Heat Wave allows me to hit both eneimies while fishing for a burn which comes through in the end and Flash Cannon is for any Fairy types and Rock Types. Earth Power is really for Raichu and Manectric which I'm seeing a lot of lately on Showdown and Milotic which I can't hit with anything else. The set allows me to survive Hydro Pump from Rotom-Wash and be able to hit anything that doesn't resist pretty hard and Outspeed Bisharp. The name seemed fitting so I really have no explanation on why I choose the name.
So Yeah.... Not sure what to say at the end so you guys can rate and help makes this team better. Be as honest as you need to be but don't an a**hole. Please?
