ORAS OU Mega Latias, The Goddess

latest

Latias-Mega (F) @ Latiasite
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 248 HP / 180 Def / 80 Spe
Bold Nature
IVs: null Atk
- Calm Mind
- Substitute
- Stored Power
- Roost
The Pokemon I chose to make my team for. I'm using SubCM with Stored Power because it runs through teams after I have gotten rid of anything that threatens it while also being a good pivot and forcing anything that it walls/checks out. My spread outspeeds Adamant Excadrill while also having great mixed bulk.

Bisharp @ Black Glasses
Ability: Defiant
EVs: 212 Atk / 52 SpD / 244 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Knock Off
- Sucker Punch
- Iron Head
- Pursuit

Since I had problems with beating opposing psychics like Lati@s, and fairies like Clefable and Mega Altaria, I chose Bisharp as its partner. This set is a pursuit trapper, which allows it to punish opposing Lati@s if they decide to attack my Mega Lati@s. Being Jolly with 244 speed allows me to outspeed Modest/Adamant Mega Altaria and other neutral natured base 80s and damage/kill it before a Dragon Dance or an offensive move that could kill Bisharp. It does these things while also forming a decent offensive core with Latias, with Latias eating most fighting, fire, and ground types for breakfast and Bisharp killing fairies and psychics with ease.

Keldeo-Resolute @ Choice Specs
Ability: Justified
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Hydro Pump
- Scald
- Secret Sword
- Hidden Power [Electric]

Next, I chose Keldeo because I wanted a wallbreaker (Chansey is annoying) and a good check to Pursuit Trappers, like opposing Bisharp and Tyranitar and stuff like Heatran, Scizor, and Mega Gyarados. I have Hidden Power Electric in order to smash Gyarados before and after Mega evolution and also a solid move for Azumarill. It also works together with Bisharp because Bisharp gets rid of fast psychics like Lati@s.

Landorus-Therian (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 HP / 240 Def / 8 SpD / 8 Spe
Impish Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake
- U-turn
- Stone Edge
Of course I chose Landorus-Therian as my Stealth Rocker because it checks many pokemon that are annoying, such as bird spam users, Mega Metagross, and Garchomp. The Ev spread outspeeds modest Magnezone, lives HP Ice from Mega Manectric, and making it as defensive as possible. It also provides a slow U-turn so I can switch in Keldeo easier.

Ferrothorn @ Leftovers
Ability: Iron Barbs
EVs: 252 HP / 88 Def / 168 SpD
Relaxed Nature
IVs: 0 Spe
- Spikes
- Power Whip
- Leech Seed
- Gyro Ball

For Ferrothorn, I needed a good water check and fairy check. (specifically Azumarill), something besides Bisharp that can usually switch into Lati@s, and providing Spikes support, which weakens defensive pokemon more to that they can be broken through easier. Gyro Ball to destory faster Pokemon like Mega Gardevoir, Power Whip to dent waters like Azumarill, and Leech Seed for extra recovery besides Leftovers.

Starmie @ Leftovers
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 HP / 32 SpA / 224 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: null Atk
- Rapid Spin
- Recover
- Scald
- Reflect Type
Finally, I have bulky Starmie. It does things such as being a Rapid Spinner, another good Keldeo checks besides Latias, and being able to be a status absorber due to Natural Cure. Reflect Type trolls stuff like Bisharp who try to kill it with Pursuit and Sucker Punch. 224 evs are enough for base 111s like Thundurus.

pls and ty for any help :)

Hey there :] Really cool team with the underrated Mega Latias ! The team seems really good as a whole however there are a few changes I would like to recommend. Firstly, it would be to actually try a Substitute-Calm Mind Keldeo which is a much better Wall-breaker. It sets up a Substitute/Calm Mind on a lot of stall Pokemons and you don't really have to worry about Gyarados since you have a Ferrothorn with Power Whip and a Landorus-T with intimidate to play around. However if you prefer using Choice Specs, it might be better to run Icy Wind over Hydro Pump/Hidden Power Electric because it helps to catch those Latios/Latias switch ins and slow them down and proceed to 2HKO them. Another suggestion would be to actually run a dragon STAB move like Dragon Pulse/Draco Meteor on Mega Latias. Although Substitute helps ease prediction and allows you to set up more frequently while avoiding statuses, however with Stored Power as your only attacking move, Mega Latias becomes a liability especially against a Hyper Offensive team since it'll have very little opportunity to set up due to the lack of investment in speed and lack of coverage in it's movepool. But all in all, this team looks really cool as a whole as it covers a lot of the threats in the OU tier :]
