ORAS OU Mega Gardevoir OU Team

gardevoir-mega.jpg

Gardevoir @ Gardevoirite
Ability: Trace - Pixilate
Nature: Timid
EVs: 252 SpA / 252 Spe / 4 SpD
-Hyper Voice
-Psyshock
-Focus Blast
-Shadow Ball

I built this team around Mega Gardevoir because it is just so amazing. Its stats are to die for, it has a great ability, and it has good coverage. Anyway, down to business. Gardevoir's role is covering for Bisharpp and being an insanely powerful sweeper. Gardevoir is very dangerous with Tailwind support from Talonflame. Hyper Voice for powerful Fairy STAB, Psyshock to hit specially defensive walls, Focus Blast for steels, and Shadow Ball because this set is walled by Psychic types otherwise. Gardevoirite obviously because that's what Gardevoir needs to be mega.

Rotom-Wash @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
Nature: Calm
EVs: 252 HP / 126 SpD / 126 Def
-Hydro Pump
-Volt Switch
-Will-o-Wisp
-Pain Split

Rotom-Wash is on this team because I need a wall, and Rotom is a great one. It also 4x resists steel-types that really hurt Gardevoir. Rotom's role is switching in on basically every attack that I don't want something else taking and crippling physical attackers. It can also give me momentum with Volt Switch. I run Hydro Pump because it is decently powerful and it is the only good water-type STAB that Rotom gets. Volt Switch is electric STAB and momentum, and Will-o-Wisp destroys physical attackers that trouble Gardevoir. Finally, Pain Split to get health back. Leftovers is great for recovery.

Talonflame @ Life Orb
Ability: Gale Wings
Nature: Adamant
EVs: 252 Spe / 252 Atk / 4 Def
-Brave Bird
-Flare Blitz
-U-turn
-Tailwind

I put Talonflame on this team because it is a great physical attacker and priority Brave Bird is just too strong. Talonflame's roles on this team are cleaning up late-game, setting up Tailwind, and scouting. I put on Brave Bird because it is the best move ever with Gale Wings. Flare Blitz is there for powerful fire-type STAB and to take care of steel-types that scare Mega Gardevoir. U-turn is good for scouting. Lastly, Tailwind is good because Mega Gardevoir is not really that fast. Life Orb is good for a little extra damage.

bisharp.jpg

Bisharp @ BlackGlasses
Ability: Defiant
Nature: Adamant
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spe / 4 Def
-Knock Off
-Iron Head
-Sucker Punch
-Pursuit

Bishop is on this team because he provides Pursuit support for Gardevoir and I needed a Steel type. His role on the team is providing support with Pursuit and Knock Off. My team can also cover for his Fighting type weakness really well. As said before, he has Pursuit for the Ghost types that are problems for Gardevoir. Knock Off is great for removing items and Sucker Punch is great priority. Finally, Iron Head takes care of any Fairies. BlackGlasses is my item because Bisharp has three dark type moves.

612-Haxorus.png

Haxorus @ Lum Berry
Ability: Mold Breaker
Nature: Jolly
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spe / 4 Def
-Dragon Dance
-Outrage
-Poison Jab
-Earthquake

I decided to use Haxorus because I needed a Dragon type and I love it's huge Attack stat. It's uncommon typing is very manageable, and it's speed is great with Tailwind support. Its role is Setup Sweeper and overall physical threat. Dragon Dance is a fantastic setup move, and at +1 or +2, Outrage destroys everything. Poison Jab is there for Fairies and because Togekiss walls my set otherwise. Last but not least, Earthquake combined with Mold Breaker is just too good. I run Lum Berry because everyone likes statusing Haxorus.

latest

Lucario @ Focus Sash
Ability: Steadfast
Nature: Timid
EVs: 252 SpA / 252 Spe / 4 Def
-Nasty Plot
-Vacuum Wave
-Flash Cannon
-Aura Sphere

Finally, Lucario. I chose Lucario for this team because it 4x resists Rock, which is a problem for Talonflame. It's role is a special setup sweeper and a hard counter for Rock types. He also has some nice fighting priority. Nasty Plot for nasty setup and Vacuum Wave for priority. Finally, Flash Cannon and Aura Sphere for powerful STAB. Focus Sash is my favorite item for this set because it guarantees that Lucario set up at least one Nasty Plot and it helps with it's very low defenses.

Thanks for reading!

Yeah, replace Haxorus with Defog Latias. Hazards annoy the hell out of Talonflame, and use SD Lucario. NP Luke is really underwhelming. Try these spreads over your old ones. Also Life Orb Full Offense Talon is ech. HW Latias allows you to reheal Lucario and Talonflame for lategame, and also acts as a good hazard remover. Bulky Talon deals with some Special Attackers while still putting pressure on Offense.

Talonflame
Ability: Gale Wings
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Atk / 8 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Acrobatics
- Roost
- Swords Dance
- Will-O-Wisp

Rotom-Wash @ Leftovers / Chesto Berry
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 Spe
Bold Nature
- Volt Switch
- Hydro Pump
- Will-O-Wisp
- Pain Split / Rest

Latias @ Life Orb
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 72 HP / 184 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Defog
- Draco Meteor
- Psyshock
- Healing Wish

Lucario @ Life Orb
Ability: Justified
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Close Combat
- Swords Dance
- Extreme Speed
- Iron Tail

Latias > Haxorus
Bulky Talon
PhysDef RotomW
SD Lucario

Also run 24 Defense points in gardevoir to avoid Latios' Psyshock from 2HKOing. And run either Taunt, Will O Wisp, or Sub in the last slot instead of Shadow Ball.

Take the 24 EVs out of Special Attack so your spread should be something like 24 Def / 232 SpAtk / 252 Spe

Hey MegaSceptile58 nice team ,the idea of running Shadow Ball n Gardevoir isn't nice , will-o-wisp could be used to cripple Bisharp or Scizor on the switch also Taunt could be used to break stall or to taunt Bisharp or Scizor on the switch to stop them using Swords Dance or any set up move. Also Sharp Beak is better than Life Orb on your Talonflame.
By the way , back to rate

At first glance , your team lacks Stealth Rock and you also lacks hazard removal , you are using Talonflame. So I think Lati@s > Haxorus , Latias or Latios , depends on your playstyle but both has more than decent speed and nice offense stats , Latias can use healing wish to give you one more chance to sweep , while Latios can run Hidden Power Fighting / Earthquake to lure Bisharp , which is a threat to Mega Gardevoir.

You still lacks stealth rocks , so I think Landorus-Therian > Lucario , Landorus-Therian helps your team against Sand and also Charizard X , it also gives you rock support as well as momentum. You gonna lack a wincon but I will fix that later in this rate.

Your team is very offensive , Rotom-w just lacks power as compared to other members , although its not killing momentum , but its kinda slow. So, I think
CM Raikou > Rotom-W , Raikou gives you something fast to deal with Mega Manectric , as its faster than Manectric on the turn it mega evolves. It also gives you a solid wincon and can form volt-turn core with Landorus-t.

Also change your Gardevoir's EVs to
16 HP / 8 Def / 232 SpA / 252 Spe it lets you take two psyshocks from Latios , I.e. you can switch into Latios directly.

Latias @ Life Orb

Ability: Levitate
EVs: 72 HP / 184 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Defog
- Draco Meteor
- Psyshock
- Healing Wish

Latios @ Life Orb
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Defog
- Draco Meteor
- Psyshock
- Earthquake / Hidden Power Fighting

Raikou @ Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Calm Mind
- Thunderbolt
- Substitute / Volt Switch
- Hidden Power Ice / Hidden Power Ground

Landorus-Therian @ Soft Sand
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 72 HP / 252 Atk / 184 Spe
Adamant Nature / Jolly Nature
- Earthquake
- U-turn
- Stone Edge
- Stealth Rock

Optional : Bulky SD Talonflame > Offensive Talonflame , although bulky tflame is a solid wincon and answer to fairies but your team appreciates Tailwind Support , as your team is slower than mons like Mega Loppuny , Mega Manectric etc which can really break your team.

What I think About Your Team First Glance
Looks like a team I would see on my ds. Looks it could use so work but doesn't have any bad ou mons. I think this could not be as bad as I perceive it to be.

How You Can Improve Your Team

gardevoir-mega.gif

Gardevoir @ Gardevoirite
Ability: Trace
EVs: 16 HP / 8 Def / 232 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Hyper Voice
- Psyshock
- Focus Blast
- Will-O-Wisp

This will help you weaken switch ins like jirachi and stop powerful mons like mega scizor from setting up so easily.

rotom-wash.gif

Queen of Roses (Rotom-Wash) @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 248 HP / 216 Def / 44 Spe
Bold Nature
- Volt Switch
- Hydro Pump
- Will-O-Wisp
- Pain Split

I feel rotom really doesn't need any spd bulk and depends on its physical defense evs immensely.
Dealing with threats like lopunny and bisharp isn't easy this set should help you better with the trask.
Conclusion

I mean there's not much else I go do without rebuilding
but it clearly seems fun and you probably enjoy using it
so congrats for posting this team and having the courage to do it [:
I wish you massive success buddy and hope you take my changes into consideration.

What I love about this team is the originalit most people just run lando t and azu. I would change lucario's ability to under focus as it doesn't out speed mega lopunny after fake out. Doing this will still let you get up a nasty plot and vacuum wave the next turn for solid damage. I agree on the WoW on MGarde because Hyper Voice is enough for the psychics and Shadow ball doesn't hit AV metagross hard enough. I see that people put defense on Rotom but I prefer the SpDef due to the Serperiors and Celebis. I like the team, be original, OU stands for Over Used for a reason.
