ORAS OU Mega Alakazam Balance

This is my second RMT I made but this time it's based around Mega Alakazam!

Forks (Alakazam) @ Alakazite
Ability: Magic Guard
EVs: 4 SpD / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Psychic
- Focus Blast
- Shadow Ball
- Substitute

This is the star of the team. This mega has a fantastic speed at base 150 and an even better base Sp.Att at 175. This is used as a revenge killer/late game sweeper. Max EV's on SpAtt/Spe to maximize Speed and Power. Psychic as it's Mega Zam's strongest STAB Psychic move. I run Psychic over Psyshock for Chansey as Psyshock only does around 33%-38% to Chansey. Focus Blast for Heatran and Ferrothorn but once again Chansey only takes 14% from it. Shadow Ball for Slowbro, Celebi, and other Psychic types. Substitute because this thing behind a sub is TERRIFYING, and it wreaks havoc on everything.

Rainbow Dash (Keldeo-Resolute) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Justified
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Scald
- Secret Sword
- Icy Wind
- Hydro Pump

The second wallbreaker of the team. This thing can deal with the likes of Chansey,Weavile, and can somewhat deal with Mega Scizor. Scarf to outspeed stuff. Scald for the amazing 30% chance to burn. Secret Sword as it OHKO's so many things in the meta. Icy Wind for to hit chomp's and lando's and to drop the oppotent's speed. Hydro Pump to pick up a few extra KO's that scald couldn't get previously. Standard EV's.

Deviantart (Sylveon) @ Choice Specs
Ability: Pixilate
EVs: 240 HP / 252 SpA / 16 Spe
Modest Nature
- Hyper Voice
- Baton Pass
- Hidden Power [Fire]
- Psyshock

One of the best wallbreakers in the game. With STAB Hyper Voice with Specs and max Spatt Modest this thing has barely any switch ins. 16 Spe to outspeed uninvested TTar. The rest to power and bulk. Baton Pass to grab the extra momentum when you know your opponent will switch. HP Fire for guaranteed KO's on Scizor and Ferrothorn if you can predict the switch into Scizor or predict another move. Psyshock for poison types and other Chansey.

BasedGod (Scizor) @ Leftovers
Ability: Technician
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Def
Impish Nature
- Bullet Punch
- Roost
- U-turn
- Defog

The physical wall of the team and hazard removal. 252 HP/252 Def for maximum bulk+Impish. Bullet Punch as it's Scizor niche with Technichian. Roost for reliable recovery. U-turn for pivoting into stuff. Defog for hazard removal so I dont get stacked on.

Subway (Heatran) @ Leftovers
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
- Magma Storm
- Stealth Rock
- Taunt
- Toxic

The stallbreaker of the team+ spdef. 252 HP/252 SpD+ calm for maximum bulk. Magma Storm as it can deal with most types of stall. Taunt to stop stallers from recovering which makes mega zam's job much easier. Toxic to widdle down fat mons and words amazingly with Taunt. Stealth Rock to widdle down opposing teams.

George Washington (Rotom-Wash) @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Bold Nature
- Hydro Pump
- Volt Switch
- Will-O-Wisp
- Pain Split

The birdspam check of the team. 252 HP/ 252 Def+ bold to eat up hits from talonflame and other birds. Volt Switch for pivoting and momentum. Hydro Pump to kill fire types and talonflame if it roosted. Will-O-Wisp to burn stuff making Rotom eat up hits even better. Pain Split as an unreliable way of recovery.

Thanks for reading!

Hi! I really like the offensive build of this team, however, there are some optimizations that can be made. First, I would suggest that you try Choice Scarf Landorus-T
645-s.png
over Scizor. This retains the momentum that your team has, but also gives your team a better check to Garchomp and Hoopa-U, which are some offensive threats that can threaten to stop Mega Alakazam's sweep. It also provides you a check to Mega Metagross, Magnezone, Raikou, and Mega Medicham, all of which can cause huge problems for your team, and checks most of the Pokemon that Scizor does, with the exception of possibly Kyurem-B, although it does not provide hazard control. However, I do not feel that this lack of hazard control is very much detrimental to your team, as your team isn't particularly weak to hazards, and would typically put a lot of pressure on the opponent so they cannot get spikes up easily. This change also shores up the defensive backbone, and gives you a secondary check to Talonflame, which can get worn down by birdspam.

With this addition, I would change Choice Scarf to Choice Specs
choice-specs.png
Keldeo. This gives your team a strong wallbreaker, and puts a lot more pressure on defensive teams alongside stallbreaker Heatran, which your team needs more than a revenge killer, as Mega Alakazam is extremely fast, and Keldeo does not help much with strong priority such as Talonflame's Brave Bird. Choice Scarf Landorus-T is able to handle this better, and would be a better scarfer for the team.

Now, for some EV spread changes. I would change the Heatran spread to an offensive stallbreaker set, rather than a defensive spread. I would also run Air Balloon on it, which I think would provide your team more utility in the long run, as your team is a very offensive one that would tend to appreciate the utility of Air Balloon more than the healing of Leftovers. It is also typically recommended to run more speed on Pokemon with Taunt, as you wish to outrun slower Pokemon to Taunt them to stop them from healing, not let them heal up before you taunt, which is counterintuitive. The set is shown below:

Heatran @ Air Balloon
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Magma Storm
- Earth Power
- Taunt
- Stealth Rock

Next, I would run enough speed on Rotom-W to outrun max speed BD Azumarill, which is 44 Spe EVs. Although this is a spread that Azumarill typically does not use, I don't think that your team should take this risk, and lose without having a single check to it.

A minor change that I would try Serperior
497.png
over Keldeo. This change gives you another Keldeo check, which can come in repeatedly on Heatran and Landorus-T and threaten your team with Scald, as well as to Azumarill, which is also a huge threat if it manages to get a Belly Drum off Heatran or Landorus-T.

ok your team needs a better answer to mega lopunny than scarf keldeo which is a weak check at best. Heatran really isn't contributing to much scizor doesn't help with. As well as helping with metagross.

Latios really fits well on this team. Besides helping with keldeo, rotom-w, and manaphy. Latios also helps your team gain some speed. CM Latios can be pretty cool and can sweep certain balanced builds.

Now that you have an answer to lopunny in tank chomp you now can be permitted to run specs for extra damage.

You can run band scizor, you have no weak mons to stealth rocks and you can also pursuit trap psychic types. And provide a powerful bullet punch user. As well as helping out a bit with mega dianice.

running encore on zam will help your match up a bit vs stall and help you with those cm spammers.
