I'd like to first say that, while I like all of the pokemon on my team and would be hesitant to change any of them (besides Shaymin, just out of personal preference) I'm open to changing any of them besides Aggron.
I've been using this team for a while, with some changes made to it, but finally settled to this, and I've been resting around 1350 on the ladder. As it is, I do think this team is capable of much more as I usually lose because of mistakes on my part in inexperience rather than because of a specific fault in my team. This is technically my first team, although I've changed much of it since the beginning, and I'm curious to see how I could improve it. Here they are:
Aggron-Mega (M) @ Aggronite
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 252 HP / 16 Def / 240 SpD
Impish Nature
- Heavy Slam
- Earthquake
- Stealth Rock
- Thunder Wave
Aggron is an incredible physical tank, and an effective wall even against some special attackers because of his Steel typing. Aggron is my only entry hazard setter, and he usually sets it pretty easily because of his bulk. Thunder Wave is great for crippling, and can be used freely against pokemon below 272 speed, as he makes up for the lost turn by going first. Heavy Slam is very powerful stab, and Earthquake provides solid coverage.
Salamence (M) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Moxie
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Naive Nature
- Outrage
- Dragon Claw
- Earthquake
- Fire Blast
Salamence is just a really solid pokemon in general. I used to run an Intimidate set, but found that I needed choice scarf + Naive for maximum speed, as my team was decimated by any of the multitudes of speedy megas (Sceptile, Aerodactyl, Beedrill, etc) that I miss out on by using Mega Aggron. Moxie is the better ability for sweeping. Outrage has massive power, and Dragon Claw to use when I can't afford to be locked into Outrage. Earthquake provides needed coverage, as does Fire Blast, as I don't have any other fire moves and am otherwise walled by the likes of Forretress.
Ability: Synchronize
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
- Wish
- Protect
- Heal Bell
- Foul Play
Umbreon is a healer and cleric, especially necessary as support for Aggron who can be worn down and becomes nearly useless when burned. Protect to scout moves, heal with Leftovers, or get a Wish across to Umbreon himself. Foul Play can be a very powerful stab move if the opponent is a physical attacker.

Feraligatr (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Sheer Force
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Dragon Dance
- Waterfall
- Crunch
- Ice Punch
Feraligatr is an excellent set up sweeper, as after a boost he has great speed and ridiculous attack with Sheer Force, Life Orb, adamant nature + EVs and solid moves all boosted by Sheer Force. Waterfall is a great stab move, and Crunch and Ice Punch provide solid coverage. The only issue with Feraligatr is that he's very underwhelming, and quite slow, before he gets a Dragon Dance off, but he often has too little bulk to do so.

Porygon-Z @ Choice Specs
Ability: Adaptability
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Tri Attack
- Dark Pulse
- Thunderbolt
- Trick
Porygon-Z makes a great special attacker with Choice Specs, Adaptability boosted Tri Attack. Dark Pulse, and especially Thunderbolt provide coverage unique on my team and are also quite powerful otherwise. Trick with choice specs can bring pokemon such as Frolass to a complete halt, and frees Porygon to use different moves, which while being significantly weaker are still pretty powerful.

Shaymin @ Life Orb
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Seed Flare
- Dazzling Gleam
- Psychic
- Earth Power
Shaymin is essential as a very versatile support Pokemon, with great stats and powerful coverage moves. Seed Flare is insanely powerful and has a great chance of lowering special defense, making Shaymin's job even easier. Dazzling Gleam and Psychic are necessary and unique coverage moves, and Earth Power provides good coverage, bringing a complete stop to Doublade. Life Orb is necessary as Shaymin needs the power.
Umbreon (M) @ LeftoversAbility: Natural Cure
