Marshadow Nat Dex AG team | Please rate!! ':)

Please read this: I am also Afoggy here on showdown and the forums so all work on both foggydaugie and afoggy are mine. Now you may proceed to the rest of this R.M.T.

So, a few months ago, I posted an rmt for StAAAbmons and a lot of you guys found it. I would know because it got 1,000 views in the first month, and I’m going to be doing another one. This time I made a National Dex Anything Goes team and I hope you like it. This team got me to 1400 and then I fell like Sokovia almost did in Avengers Age of Ultron. So here’s the team with a (hopefully) complete explanation for every mon.

Megalodon (Kyogre-Primal) @ Blue Orb
Ability: Primordial Sea
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Protect
- Origin Pulse
- Thunder
- Ice Beam

Kyogre is a very scary Pokemon, setting up rain to a point where only Desolate Land and Delta Stream can get rid of it. Kyogre-Primal is a better user of Water Spout than Groudon-Primal is of Eruption. However, it succumbs to a single Earthquake or even a Thunder Punch from a Raichu, and therefore if it lives on one hp, Water Spout does nothing, so to compensate I use Origin Pulse instead because of fixed damage (sort of.) Which is why, almost every single Pokemon on this team has a speed-beneficial nature, so it can outspeed BO Groudon-Primal. I use Thunder to take advantage of the rain that Kyogre sets up. I also use Ice Beam to get rid of BO Mega Rayquaza, and other flying and grass types. This EV spread is pretty Self Explanatory, as most of the others are. I can also use Protect to try and stall out someone’s Solar Blade Sceptile, which can surprisingly work.

Godzilla (Groudon-Primal) @ Red Orb
Ability: Desolate Land
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Precipice Blades
- Heat Crash
- Power-Up Punch
- Protect

When you have a Megalodon, you always need Godzilla to balance your team out. Groudon-Primal here is almost the complete opposite of its aquatic counterpart. Unlike Kyogre, which is a dedicated Special attacker, Groudon is a complete physical attacker, being able to destroy any other Grass types that Kyogre’s Ice Beam couldn’t stop. Precipice Blades is here for a STAB boost and also Heat Crash for a physical secondary STAB option. I also have Power Up Punch to boost attack and also safely OHKO a Stakataka that would set up Trick Room or an Aggron-Mega which would also sweep me with Earthquake. Like Kyogre, if Someone traps me and switches into Primal Kyogre, I can stall out with Protect or sack off Groudon so I can switch into my Kyogre.

Snake, I guess (Rayquaza-Mega) @ Life Orb
Ability: Delta Stream
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Dragon Ascent
- Dragon Dance
- Outrage
- Extreme Speed

The god is HERE!! Arceus is absent, so Rayquaza is taking its place as the king. He created the Anything goes tier, and he is happy to be a part of it today. I have Dragon Ascent (because mega) and Outrage for reliable STAB options and I also have Extreme Speed to have Rayquaza outspeed almost every other pokemon that isn’t a ghost type. I made it a physical attacker because, since it can’t mega evolve without Dragon Ascent, it needs almost all of it’s moves to be physical, which also won’t be a problem because I have Life Orb on it making it SUPER broken!

Lightbulb (Regieleki) @ Focus Sash
Ability: Transistor
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Assurance
- Electro Ball
- Protect
- Acrobatics

Again, as the fastest Pokemon in the world (other than scarf Deoxys-sppeed which shouldn’t exist) Regieleki easily earned MVP in the last rmt I posted. Now I have Electro Ball replacing Rising Voltage because there’s a reason why Tapu Koko and Pincurchin suck. I also have Acrobatics combined with the Focus Sash (NEVER USE A FOCUS BAND PEOPLE) so that I can get rid of an incoming Torterra (Sinnoh remakes are next, I’m telling you!) and also Assurance so clear Calyrex-Shadow (unless they have a Choice Scarf, in which case I’m fucked on) and another Protect to stall.

Kung Fu Panda (Urshifu-Rapid-Strike) @ Expert Belt
Ability: Unseen Fist
Gigantamax: Yes
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Surging Strikes
- Brick Break
- Bulk Up
- Iron Head

Urshifu-Rapid-Strike is the bear of scary, also reigning supreme over Urshifu-Single-Strike. With its unique typing and amazing moveset, Urshifu is ready to take on God himself; Arceus. I gave it Surgung strikes and brick break as support for an Eviolite Rhydon or a Krookodile that can take out most of my team. I also have Iron Head for the chance to flinch and for Fairy coverage along with Bulk Up to set up for an amazing sweep. I have the Gigantamax factor on it because I get Gmax Rapid Flow in place of surging strikes to obliterate protection, and also it just looks so badass. I also gave it an Expert Belt because it just gets so many coverage moves and I can now utilize them with this.

Hitman (Marshadow) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Technician
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Shadow Sneak
- Thunder Punch
- Spectral Thief
- Close Combat

The leader of the team will carry us to victory!!! Marshadow has been feared since 2017 and for a good reason. It doesn’t have the Marshadium-Z now, but that’s because Calyrex-Shadow is present and can sweep most of my team. I gave it Close Combat for a reliable STAB move and Spectral Thief because… it’s.. Spectral Thief. I also gave it Shadow Sneak so that I would have to get off an assurance from Regieleki, sack it oof, then switch into Marshadow for a Shadow Sneak or Spectral Thief. I also gave it Thunder Punch to counter for Staraptors and Aerodactyls that will kill Marshadow and Urshifu. Thankfully, Marshadow is very fast, so that’s a thing. And he’s (she? idk) crazily strong.

So that's my National Pokedex Anything Goes team. Again, if you are reading this, please rate and tell me what i can do to fix it. Be as mean as you like, but no swearing. criticize me, i just want to be better. Thanks for reading!!

Ps: SINNOH REMAKES FOR THE WIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There’s nothing else here. Nothing. It’s over. Bye! See you guys later!

Hi there! I'm glad to see you're having fun in AG, and seem to be doing ok with this team. Unfortunately, the team has some pretty glaring issues, namely that Urshifu in any forme is unviable, and many of your sets, but especially your Regieleki set, are pretty suboptimal. I've done my best to keep as many original Pokemon as possible, so I decided to make a Regieleki screens build. With that said, let's jump into the team.

Major Changes
:ss/urshifu-rapid-strike: --> :ss/yveltal:
Yveltal @ Life Orb
Ability: Dark Aura
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Taunt
- Oblivion Wing
- Dark Pulse
- Heat Wave
To put it bluntly, Urshifu is completely unviable in Natdex AG, regardless of its set. To that end, I'm replacing it with an offensive Yveltal, which should work amazingly, using Taunt to prevent defoggers from removing your screens and Stealth Rock, and offensively Dynamaxing to sweep through opposing teams with ease thanks to Max Airstream's Speed boosts and a an absolutely nuclear Dark Aura-boosted Max Darkness. In addition, Yveltal provides valuable counterplay to Calyrex-S, since it can revenge-kill it easily and potentially countersweep.

Minor Changes

:ss/rayquaza-mega:
Rayquaza-Mega @ Life Orb
Ability: Air Lock
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Dragon Dance
- Dragon Ascent
- V-create
- Extreme Speed
This isn't a huge change, just swapping outrage out for V-Create, so that you can damage Necrozma-DM and Zacian-C which would otherwise completely wall it, and making it harder for Xerneas to get free setup turns from Outrage.

:ss/regieleki:
Regieleki @ Light Clay
Ability: Transistor
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Rapid Spin
- Explosion
- Light Screen
- Reflect
This set should be soooo much better. It provides screens support, enabling your setup sweepers to setup more freely, while also deterring hazards with Rapid Spin, and blocking potential Defog usage through Explosion, making it so that Defog doesn't have a target. If you'd prefer, this could be pretty easily swapped out for a Deoxys-S with this set which would probably perform a bit better, but I wanted to minimize the number of Pokemon that I swapped out.

:ss/kyogre:
Kyogre @ Life Orb
Ability: Drizzle
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Calm Mind
- Hidden Power [Flying]
- Ice Beam
- Origin Pulse
This set should synergize far better with Regieleki's screen-setting ability, using passive Pokemon as setup fodder and then sweeping with Dynamax Max Airstream, with Rain letting it break through otherwise reliable checks like Ferrothorn and Chansey. This and Yveltal will likely compete for Dynamax usage, so make sure that you're careful and make sure to pick the right Dynamaxer for the matchup.

:ss/groudon-primal:
Groudon-Primal @ Red Orb
Ability: Desolate Land
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Swords Dance
- Precipice Blades
- Stone Edge
This set provides your team with Stealth Rock support, something that it sorely needed, while also threatening to be a deadly sweeper thanks to Swords Dance. Heat Crash is unnecessary coverage, as it can barely touch support Arceus formes, and the ones that it can hit lose to Precipice Blades anyway, while Stone Edge rounds out its coverage, nailing Flying-types like Mega Rayquaza, Yveltal, or Ho-Oh, all of which it can stay in on with impunity thanks to Regieleki's dual screens.

:ss/marshadow:
Marshadow @ Marshadium Z
Ability: Technician
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Bulk Up
- Shadow Sneak
- Close Combat
- Spectral Thief
Choice Scarf Marshadow really just isn't that good, especially on offense, so I felt that a good replacement would be a powerful Bulk Up wallbreaker. It provides a measure of Calyrex-S counterplay, picking it off with Shadow Sneak, while also beating a heavily chipped Zacian-C. Marshadow can take full advantage of screens to use Pokemon like Necrozma-DM and various support Arceus formes as complete setup fodder, before breaking its way through otherwise solid checks with its z-move. I felt that a Z-move set here wouldn't severely impinge on you team, despite its restrictions on Dynamax, since you've already got two Pokemon that would be only too glad to use it.

I hope this rate was helpful, and good luck in your future AG endeavours!
