[OVERVIEW]
Facing RU with a stalwart expression, Quagsire is a decent physical wall, utilizing its ability Unaware to stonewall a vast majority of setup sweepers such as Bisharp, Salamence, and Mimikyu. Quagsire uses Pokemon such as Bisharp and Mimikyu as opportunities to heal off chip damage or establish Spikes, while Toxic allows Quagsire to help hinder pesky foes immune to Earthquake like Noivern and Talonflame. Quagsire's main issue is that it fears most special attackers, as due to its poor special bulk, it is obliterated by Pokemon such as Hisuian Zoroark, Ribombee, and Armarouge. Quagsire also immensely struggles with Grass-types such as Hisuian Lilligant and Amoonguss, as they can not only take its Earthquake but also hit it for 4x super effective damage. Grass-type coverage such as Wood Hammer from Mimikyu or Grass Knot from Jirachi can also OHKO Quagsire unexpectedly. Quagsire is also unable to effectively take on Pokemon such as Suicune with Unaware sets due to a lack of Water Absorb.

Toxic allows Quagsire to threaten Flying-types such as Galarian Zapdos, Noivern, and Dragon Dance Salamence while also helping wear down Pokemon such as Mamoswine and Hippowdon. Heavy-Duty Boots allows Quagsire to ignore chip damage from entry hazards that might otherwise overwhelm it, while Leftovers accentuates Quagsire's longevity by giving it passive healing. Unaware allows Quagsire to ignore offensive stat boosts from Pokemon such as Terrakion, Bisharp, and Rhyperior while also ignoring defensive stat boosts from Pokemon such as Registeel and Chesnaught in order to hit them harder, though it has the downside of ignoring stat drops such as the ones Hisuian Goodra's and Noivern's Draco Meteors cause. Tera Poison allows Quagsire to resist the Grass moves aimed at it from Pokemon such as Hisuian Lilligant and Breloom, helps it check Fighting-types such as Slither Wing and Galarian Zapdos, makes its own Toxic 100% accurate, and allow it to become immune to opposing Toxics from Umbreon and Amoonguss.
Quagsire fits best on bulky offense and balance teams, where it can be paired with other defensive Pokemon like Chesnaught and Chansey to help wall large amounts of the metagame. Wo-Chien pairs really well with Quagsire, as it can use Knock Off in order to help Quagsire's Spikes stacking while also switching into Pokemon such as Basculegion-F and Hisuian Goodra that threaten out Quagsire. In return, Quagsire can switch into Pokemon such as Entei and Slither Wing that can threaten out Wo-Chien. Poison-immune Pokemon such as Galarian Weezing and Fezandipiti pair well with Quagsire, as they can not only take on the Grass-types such as Amoonguss and Hisuian Liligant that threaten it immensely but also take Toxic from Pokemon such as Umbreon and Gligar, which Quagsire would otherwise have to Terastallize for. Specially defensive Pokemon such as Cyclizar, Chansey, and Umbreon pair well with Quagsire, as they can take on the special wallbreakers such as Reuniclus and Gengar that threaten it, while in return, Quagsire can take on Pokemon such as Bisharp and Mimikyu that threaten them. Wallbreakers such as Mamoswine and Hisuian Zoroark appreciate Quagsire's chip damage helping wear down their checks. Stealth Rock setters such as Registeel and Jirachi can form Spikes-stacking cores with Quagsire, which can heavily chip down foes.

Other Options
====
Toxic Spikes can be used over Spikes in order to further spread poison by threatening Pokemon such as Suicune and Raikou that Quagsire does not want to directly switch into. Encore can be used to lock opposing Pokemon into status moves such as Roost and Recover, which can help Quagsire to spread Toxic, although it is prediction reliant because of Quagsire's low Speed. Whirpool can be used to trap opposing Pokemon while dealing chip damage, allowing Quagsire to beat foes such as Tera Steel Flygon and Rotom-H it might otherwise not be able to touch. Stealth Rock can be used if there aren't any other Stealth Rock setters on the team. Body Press is an option on Quagsire to hit Bisharp a lot harder while also hitting Tera Steel Pokemon such as Flygon and Rotom-H it would otherwise struggle with. Counter can be used to surprise foes such as Galarian Zapdos and Mamoswine that think they can chip down Quagsire with their strong moves, dealing massive damage back to them. Rocky Helmet is an option on Quagsire in order to deal chip damage to Pokemon such as Galarian Zapdos and Maushold that it might otherwise be overwhelmed by. Water Absorb can be used over Unaware to help with matchups against Water-types such as Barraskewda and Suicune.
Checks and Counters
====
**Special Wallbreakers**: Due to Quagsire's low special bulk, the wallbreakers Gardevoir, Hisuian Goodra, and Salamence threaten it immensely. Unaware can also hurt it, as it can ignore the Special Attack drops from moves such as Draco Meteor, meaning it can't even stay in on stat-lowered foes like Noivern
**Grass-types**: Grass-types such as Hisuian Lilligant and Breloom threaten Quagsire with 4x super effective moves. Pokemon with Grass-type coverage such as Wood Hammer from Mimikyu and Grass Knot Jirachi can also annihilate Quagsire unexpectedly.
**Toxic- and Ground-immune Foes**: Toxic- and Ground-immune foes such as Gligar, Tera Steel Rotom-H, and Tera Steel Flygon can easily switch into Quagsire, as it cannot touch them back. This means they can either make progress with entry hazards in the case of Gligar or constantly chip Quagsire in the case of Rotom-H and Flygon, forcing Quagsire to use more Recovers.
**Disruption Moves**: Quagsire is extremely restricted by moves such as Taunt and Psychic Noise, as they mean it can't use Recover and potentially cannot use Spikes or Toxic, forcing it to either switch out or immediately use Earthquake, which Pokemon it can usually beat such as Noivern and Talonflame, can take advantage of.
