SM OU Mandibuzz Balanced

Pichu And Eevee

Banned deucer.
Introduction:

After deciding Mandibuzz worked as an amazing tank, I decided to make a team with it. Mandibuzz works as a great defogger with foul play being a great move for any tank. Toxapex helps pull off a tanky side to the team while giving a toxic immunity as Mandibuzz doesn't run taunt here. Garchomp and Magnezone are very offensive, Magnezone preventing Skarmory, Celesteela and Ferrothorn from escaping, Mandibuzz has a hard time working around certain Pokemon without taunt. Garchomp is scarf revenge kill with great attack and speed already, its movepool helps knocking out a variety of pokemon. Azelf is suicide lead with rocks and Taunt, Fire Blast helps stop Ferrothorn, or to lower it to a point where it can explode on it. Scizor is yet another toxic immunity and a great sweeper with Roost.

Mandibuzz
Item: Leftovers
Ability: Overcoat
EVs: 252 HP / 216 Def / 40 SpD
Nature: Bold
IVs: 0 Atk
Moves: Defog | Toxic | Roost | Foul Play

This is my main Pokemon, and static like Azelf. It is an incredible defensive tank and can still hold its own against special attackers. It is my only defogger and is quite good at its job. Roost is a reliable source of recovery when combined with leftovers with toxic chipping down opponents reliably. Foul play is one of the best moves for a tank in my opinion, turning the opponents attack against them.

Toxapex (F)
Item: Black Sludge
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpD
Nature: Calm
IVs: 0 Atk
Moves: Recover | Haze | Toxic | Scald

The classic Toxapex, just here for support as a special tank having haze and scale to help. Recover is a good way of sustaining it while I attempt to find a switch in to an annoying threat on the field of play. Unfortunately it shares an electric weakness with Mandibuzz and I hope there is an effective way around this annoying weakness as Kyurem and Victini with Bolt Strike can be incredibly annoying.

Garchomp (M)
Item: Choice Scarf
Ability: Rough Skin
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpA / 252 Spe
Nature: Naive
Moves: Earthquake | Stone Edge | Poison Jab | Fire Blast

My scarf user. Garchomp can revenge kill almost anything that's on low health. Fire Blast is for Ferrothorn and Scizor. Earthquake should always be on offense Garchomp, with Stone Edge support. Poison Jab stops fairy and grass types, notably Tapu Bulu and Clefable. Although being scarf it lacks attack it still performs very well against many notable threats as an extremely effective physical biased mixed attacker knocking out many low health opponents.

Magnezone
Item: Choice Specs
Ability: Magnet Pull
EVs: 248 HP / 252 SpA / 8 SpD
Nature: Modest
IVs: 1 Atk
Moves: Hidden Power [Fire] | Thunderbolt | Volt Switch | Flash Cannon

My Celesteela, Skarmory and Ferrothorn counter, with choice specs it has amazing damage potential and can ignore other Mags Magnet Pull by using Volt Switch. Slow but surprisingly bulky surviving Flamethrowers from Celesteela to a KO and tanking Leaf Blade from choice locked Kartana. Landorus and other ground types are notable threats to it, this is covered by Mandibuzz who can survive multiple Stone Edges from Lando and Garchomp; and Azelf with levitate into explosion to pick up a KO.

Azelf
Item: Focus Sash
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 56 Atk / 200 SpA / 252 Spe
Nature: Naughty
Moves: Taunt | Stealth Rock | Explosion | Fire Blast

Azelf is my suicide lead that doesn't always lead, depending on the matchup. Taunt anti-leads Stealth Rock is there for obvious reasons as a rocker is always very important. Fire blast with the right EVs and nature can have an 81.3% chance to OHKO Ferrothorn but I keep it at 2 hit to keep explosion hard hitting and worth using. Sash almost guarantees rocks getting placed with Taunt stopping them in return also it can sometimes find good synergy with Azelf's speed.

Scizor-Mega (M)
Item: Scizorite
Ability: Light Metal
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Atk / 8 SpD
Nature: Adamant
Moves: Swords Dance | Bullet Punch | Knock Off | Roost

My sweeper that could be replaced by Mawile. It was chosen over Mawile for extra bulk and Roost potenial against more passive threats like Toxapex (as it can ignore burn with extra set up and Roost). Bullet Punch and Knock Off provide great coverage with Technician making Bullet Punch even an even stronger priority move. Pretty much standard though while providing Toxic immunity at the same time for Mandibuzz.

Threats:
Celesteela:
Leech Seed is horribly annoying and it walls basically my whole team taking multiple Pokemon to take it out, especially if Magnezone is taken out.

Magearna:
Mandibuzz = Dead
Toxapex = Set Up = Sweep
Scizor = Problems.

Electric Coverage:
Kyurem B and Victini provide this well, along with certain other Pokemon. As it is very effective against my tanks can eliminate valuable checks.

Static Pokemon:
These are Pokemon that may not seem viable but are fun to use and/or very useful in the team:

630.png
Mandibuzz:
Although hardly viable, Mandibuzz provides my team with defog and can survive a +6 Huge Power Azumarill Aqua Jet outside of rain, and outspeeds anyway for a foul play (OP). Speaking of Foul Play, it provides a good check to Mawile and other threats like Tyranitar, with Overcoat shielding from sandstorm and hail for Ninetales (Alola).

482.png
Azelf:
My suicide lead, Taunt can shut down other leads with Fire Blast knocking out Forretress with 1 hit and Ferrothorn 2 hit. Explosion deals with a number of threats extremely well, like Victini and Toxapex.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Replacements:
Scizor --> Mawile
Mawile has better damage output than Scizor. However Scizor has been chosen over it for the extra bulk and viability with Roost.

Mandibuzz --> Gliscor
Gliscor has Poison Heal to heal it up. However Mandibuzz has been chosen over it for the extra bulk, Foul Play, Defog, and extra special bulk. (And Victini check).
