Masons, either way we can both confirm each other as town 100%Ok im here. From my read vizh + mekkah claimed neighbors with a buff when one dies, and jalmont claiming violent bg?
fairy was one of only two players to respond negatively (the other being tommy):Anyway I have a couple of questions for everyone that are intended to be SUPPLEMENTAL to the current scumhunting convo (i.e. please don't let these be the focus of the convo but I'm curious to hear everyone's thoughts).
Would have asked these earlier but I came up with these while I was sleeping so lol
1) How much are we thinking that the neutral is Mega Ray? I mean it makes a lot of sense because MRay is easily the most unique out of the megas
2) I'd be curious to hear how we think scum's gameplay adjusts with daytalk disabled and how we can use that to our advantage. This is a bit where my peanut gallery experience fails b/c most of the games have had daytalk enabled. I'm curious to hear Duskfall98 's take in particular (although don't use this as an excuse to stop scumhunting!)
Fairy was also the only player besides me d1 to bring up the wolf unprompted:re: mega ray
not intending to flavor hunt
re: daytalk disabled
that is wack imo, maf must be pretty powerful to make up for it?
i guess either of lechen or hh could be a wolf
So at a fairy/Mekkah's request, I tested NE's claim. Would Tyranitar please stand up?
And to clarify the stewing over was over this post. I guess I should have asked AG this earlier, but I was under the impression that he just got the flavor + ability name of the mega ability. I was also unaware that he stole + learned of the name of the mega stone until the 2nd quoted post here, which raised some serious alarm bells in my head because again, it's just a straight upgrade of my role (and to a lesser extent blazade, combined).I steal the Mega Stone and in so doing get a one-shot of their active Mega power, suppressing theirs for 3 nights. It's a partial role cop, partial temporary vanillizer.
Hence why I want Tyranitar to explain their Mega power, because something funny is going on and it's better if they speak up before I do.
This is unironically my biggest hesitation here, even though I agree the role is scummy especially given yoursAnd to clarify the stewing over was over this post. Granted, town AG could exist in a world where both bluedoom's and des's roles are on town, but I personally doubt it.
If we flip AG here and it's town I personally will be blaming Celever for allowing these roles to go out /sThis is unironically my biggest hesitation here, even though I agree the role is scummy especially given yours
When AG gets on we can confirm it via AGIf someone has time to ISO Vizh and Mekkah for Mason crumbs from like D1 please post them btw.
There's enough defensive roles afaik where it makes sensealso also last thought before going but NE’s passive redirect is confirmed BUT if they are allegedly a protective backup what are they actually meant to backup? The nexus, what is effectively a second round of a role that can kill maf while blocking their kill or presumably HH? seems very weird.
That number being 4: wisp, Hydro, AligningStar, me/Mekkah
I take away active mega powers for 3 nights, including the night I use it.My impression of AG's role was that he took someone's role only for the next night. Does you also roleblock someone Aura Guardian ?
Re: the AF kill, my working theory is that they thought she was too clean and had to go sooner rather than later. Means Mekkah and I are more likely on the block than others, at least if they think they can't push the vote onto us.The weird thing about the AF kill is you would think the mafia would try to push a vote on them if they knew they were 3p. So why night kill? AF as a nk seems…really random and not ideal? Were they worried af might pull the trigger and kill them? Unlikely right with no burn notification. So bad luck (more like good luck for them)?
The issue I have is the kill justification is just strange - who was af beefing with I don’t remember. I vaguely pulsar?
Working my way through replies, but: it's a one-shot of the PRIMARY mega-ability and suppresses their WHOLE mega-ability. I missed that first readthrough.I have a new thought on AG but before I state it let me ask him this Aura Guardian : how's your role phrased in terms of what you get? Like does it say: "you steal their whole mega role"?
I think Arsonist role specifically said it bypassed protection?I think town BG is a really scummy role in this setup but somehow I happen to believe you. I wonder if arson gets around your protection? I assume yes
Hmm that’s true I supposeThink about it this way: aside from you/Mekkah all 3 of those roles have abilities that stop themselves from dying at night. Hydro can’t die in the day either. If we assume all 4 are real it is a backup of 3-4 roles who are incredibly bad at dying. There’s also the logistics of backing up a mason if you’re not lying - what does that look like?
MekkahAura Guardian can you ping me when you're online?
