[SET COMMENTS]

While most would think Bellossom fits this role much better, Ludicolo has some interesting things going on for it. First off, it's typing provides much better bulk, as it no longer has to worry about Fire Types coming in and taking it down. Second, it has much better defenses. Leech Seed and Substitute are obviously what this set is all about, set up leech seed and let the Substitute do the talking as you reap the rewards. Solarbeam is used to take advantage of the sun. Energy Ball is for anyone worried about their sun being taken down. Synthesis is for when Ludicolo becomes close to being taken down, Synthesis brings it right back into play. Toxic is if you'd rather this be more of a support set, rather than a stall set.

[ADDITIONAL COMMENTS]

In terms of a sun abuser, Bellossom may be a better option, as it has been blessed with the ability Chlorophyll. However, Ludicolo is much more bulky than Bellossom, and is able to take on threats much more upfront than the frail Bellossom. Ludicolo has many more resistances, and few weaknesses. In addition to it being able to love the sun, Ludicolo was obviously built for Rain. This allows this Pokemon to benefit, even if the opponent has you in a weather war with a rain team.

Why on earth would you ever use Sunny Day Ludicolo over Rain Dance Ludicolo? Sun makes him more susceptible to Fire-type attacks, and both of Ludicolo's other abilities only benefit from Rain. Not to mention there is a plethora of Chlorophyll / Sun abusers out there that do a much better job.

I'm sorry but Ludicolo is outclassed by other sun abusers, and as Omicron mentioned, it's much better off abusing rain. There is no way it will pass QC, and the AC are lacking any information about teammates, EVs, alternative moves, and it's just plain bad.

When in the sun, you will still take a ton of damage from Fire type attacks, regardless of weakness.
At least Bellossom can try to abuse it, but Ludicolo can't. At all. You also would need to use a Heat Rock so Sun lasts 8 turns instead of a meager 5.
And you also lack a Checks and Counters section.
Bellossom can outspeed many more things due Chlorophyll and thus actually do something before getting hit, possibly KO'd. Ludicolo can't. Not to mention being set up bait for Honchkrow when it gets in safely due being unable to outspeed and do SOMETHING. Bellossom? It can Sleep Powder before it does anything and and start doing stuff. And that's when compared against an NU poke. Getting outclassed by that makes me wonder how it will compare to solid Weather setters such as Uxie.
Don't see the point of this set.
