NOC Low Power Mafia -- Mafia Win

ck is probably town, they’re way more likely to react to things seriously as scum because they play for the content tend to try to drive the thread.

Side note: “I never used to like open setups. They are somewhat different beasts than closed.” reads like the start of a copypasta but im not sure if its a specific one or just the phrasing of it

Hmmm I guess they _could_ vanillize them. They could also shoot them and then get another free night phase
Think what he’s saying is that nobody knows who bell is, so if we just don’t play into prs it’s unlikely they’re gonna hit bell

But yes any time bell claims in the day we just have to vote them unfortunately

That’s for me to know and you to find out!

Actually I kind of take it back. I think I could be convinced to vote more people if I could be convinced that they would be a town liability in the late game. But I would need to be shown very strong reasoning that these people had previously been given opportunities and/or it’s time for other people to be given those opportunities.

Also by sleeping I meant idling. As in I myself would idle and not participate. More like participate passively ie I still keep up with the thread and keep notes etc

I wouldn’t advise other people to pursue this strategy however nor do I expect anyone else to want to. It worked well last game tho

I don’t believe that “voting” day 1 has a significantly higher probability of working out than randomly voting. Randomly voting is unfair and not fun so I prefer to just not vote. This also works out better in PR heavy setups where presumably there will be more results to discuss
Every so often scum will slip up badly, but aside from that, I agree with your premise. Unfortunately, voting is the best way to make sure people actually mean what they say. It's a necessary evil to vote.

instant nah after the angrypigeon post was the main thing 2 me + overall manner didn’t seem like behaviorally trying to adapt to threadstate
Really? I kind of thought the opposite. But I think "adapt to the threadstate" is an interesting way to frame someone's behavior. I would argue that everyone is constantly adapting to the threadstate regardless of alignment. I understand what you are driving at I think, you don't need to explain it, but the "nah" post felt like a cheap way to react to the game state which is sure to garner sympathy from at least a substantial portion of the playerbase (the players who have too much ADHD to read posts longer than 10 words).

Hence why I am ok voting out of a certain pool and “randomly selecting” them. I am not interested in voting out someone playing for the first time on day 1 because duskfall98 or celever or someone of that ilk has an insane “soul read” on them

ftr im trying to be cognizant that i naturally tend to give people passes for certain attitudes but i just thought the earlier content was more likely to come from town than scum

Idk how to engage with your analysis of it tbh cos it just looks like im reading it as “well, but what if she’s faking the reaction”
