[OVERVIEW]

Lopunny faces massive competition with every Normal-type in the tier. Its competition either has the ability Scrappy like Kangaskhan and Stoutland or is a fast and extraordinarily strong breaker that does not necessarily require coverage to take on Ghost-types like Dodrio. Lopunny’s terrible Attack stat can be slightly offset by its minuscule niche with Klutz, but that does not avoid the fact that Lopunny is still seriously weak.

Lopunny's only niche is being able to switch away items that it is unaffected by thanks to Klutz, such as Choice Band, Flame Orb, and Assault Vest, to tamper with a tank or an offensive Pokemon's effectiveness. It also has Healing Wish to give an offensive threat a second chance after switching away an item. However, this set is outclassed by Normal-types like Stoutland and Dodrio which both are far stronger; the former is a fast breaker and the latter has a superior ability to shrink its number of possible switch-ins. Even defensive Pokemon like Type: Null and Audino all outclass Lopunny for tanking hits and then restoring their health or that of their teammates.

Lopunny stays true to the saying that anything it can do, there’s another Pokemon that can do it far better (this is fluff that can be boiled down to it being outclassed which you state later on). Lopunny’s terrible Attack stat can be slightly offput by a Choice Band, but that does not avoid the fact that Lopunny is walled by the Ghost-types of the tier due to a lack of coverage (moreso being piss weak). Lopunny also faces massive competition against every other Normal-type wallbreaker in the tier. Its competition either has the ability Scrappy like Kangaskhan and Stoutland or it is a fast and extraordinarily strong breaker that does not necessarily require coverage to take on Ghost-types like Dodrio (this is kinda painful to read. literally all of these normals are stronger breakers so you should be saying that early on, not in the middle of listing out its competition).

This is Lopunny’s strongest set that it can utilize with coverage like Thunder Punch for Jellicent and Swanna or Ice Punch for Mudsdale (mention its one niche in switcheroo over its competition). This set however is outclassed by Choice Band Dodrio who sits at a higher speed tier, has a higher Attack stat, and has outrageously powerful moves like Brave Bird to chunk even a few Pokemon that resist its STABs (include stoutland here too).
