    This state-of-the-art facility has recently reopened to the public after being disused for several years. Inside is a wide array of monitors showing complicated data and being seemingly operated by various Magnezone and Metagross. You are led to a room with a big "SIMULATION" inscription into the metal on top of the door. There, you will have to face other Trainers in special conditions that will allow for the study of particularly interesting and oddly-behaviored Pokémon...
    • On send-in, the Trainer designates two Pokémon as Aggressors, two as Protectors, and two as Supporters.
    • Each Pokémon can be equipped with a Vocation for their role.
      • For the purpose of this Circuit, use the Vocations from the list below.
      • You can only assign the same Vocation once each.

Colin is the example of what a book smart Pokémon is, which is all the stranger because he's a Gyarados. Having lived as a Magikarp in a rigid social structure, Colin learned from a young age to show respect and deference, a trait that carries over to his current way of speech. He is well-versed in all sorts of subjects, and can hold a conversation with many people due to his interest in varied matters, which is all the stranger because, again, he's a Gyarados. It's a wonder he found enough EXP to evolve at all.
On the other hand, he's also quite naive since he was sheltered for a long while, which made him both eager to see the world at large and very meek in unknown environment.
People are always very confused by the stark contrast between his appearance and demeanor, but you get used to it.

Ryūko can only be described as a force of nature. She charges straight ahead, cutting down her foes with incredible focus. She will not even attempt to dodge blows; she simply counts on her natural armor to deflect them. Relentlessly, she will pursue the last of her targets to cut her down.
Now, here's the problem: she's also a MASSIVE ditz. You may see her attempt to appear serious and intimidating, only for her to trip up and ruin the mood. And given that she's hot-blooded, she might try to vehemently deny everything and get into catfights. That said, you will likely regret it if you underestimate her because of her antics. When she gets serious, blood will flow.

Well. Here we are, once again. We seem to be headed for an immensely lopsided game, with Ayush bringing three gimmicky Pokemon, of which Delibird and Shedinja's capabilities are mostly unknown, and also Snaelstrom and Crucibelle, less gimmicky but still very interesting and largely unexplored Pokemon. From TMan we see the same setup we've come to expect over his past matches, with a direct yet somewhat tricky offensive build using a balanced type composition and a Mega Evolution. In the past we've seen TMan use a strategy of forcing his opponent to reveal their team early, then striking hard with his second Pokemon and decisively with his third one, though Ayush's strange team might throw a wrench in that strategy. At any rate, I'm excited to see what both players have to offer here.

Shedinja duels with the massive Great Tusk, and does...not that bad, actually? Solar Beam hits on the massive Pokemon's much weaker Special Defense, while Shedinja is hurt a lot in return but seems to have another life left in them. TMan's Reflect is also looking a little thin, but he did set some hazards in the meantime, so we'll see if Ayush is able to deal with those. Overall, though, I'd call this a resounding success for Shedinja in the highest level of BBP.

Iron Moth comes in, ready to take out Shedinja and begin rolling the dice. No luck on Fiery Dances unfortunately, but that Electric typing is undoubtedly interesting. The Attack boost is not exactly what Iron Moth wants to see, but maybe TMan can leverage this seemingly unwieldy boon in the coming round. Ayush, of course, has to work with first order here but maintains a substantial HP lead. There are some very critical rounds ahead, and I for one am looking forward to this.

Also, can we talk about how sad it is that Electric Terrain wore off the round before the Quark Drive Pokemon entered play? I'm so bummed out about that.

Ayush answers Iron Moth with Crucibelle, a wise decision considering their only other potential opponent would be Great Tusk, not exactly a matchup you want to play. TMan abandons the physical attacking boost and goes all-in special, only for everything to fall apart when his Meteor Beam is countered by a strong combination attack, and despite the Power Lens he misses any additional effects on his own combination. Very unfortunate. Even despite this, though, Iron Moth fought hard against Crucibelle, and I don't expect Great Tusk to have any issues closing that matchup out.
