SV UU Latios BO

Latios @ Choice Specs
Ability: Levitate
Tera Type: Dragon
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Draco Meteor
- Luster Purge
- Surf
- Flip Turn
This is the main pokemon I wanted to build around, the team is largely oriented around either being able to pivot into this dude or handle the few mons that can check it defensively. It either drops a draco and gets a near guaranteed kill if no fairy type, or spams luster purge if no dark type. Surf is mainly there for mons like Heatran, Excadrill, or A9 and flip turn is to retain offensive momentum. Tera dragon is probably overkill for draco, but I didnt know what else to put.

Excadrill @ Leftovers
Ability: Mold Breaker
Tera Type: Dragon
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Earthquake
- Iron Head
- Rapid Spin
I wanted something that could threaten a majority of the pokemon that could switch in on Latios, like Ttar or steel types, and the added spin utility is also helpful. I ran SD because I wanted to potentially set up on switches and possibly break through some bulkier teams, or clean up with a speed boost from spinning. Tera dragon lets me get out of a fire weakness, which is helpful for Heatran which this team seems to lack switch ins to.

Cobalion @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Justified
Tera Type: Dragon
EVs: 252 Def / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Stealth Rock
- Body Press
- Volt Switch
- Thunder Wave
This is for a lot of the priority users in the tier, like Scizor, Rilla, or Lokix. After Latios gets a kill, he prevents them from getting a revenge kill. He also threatens those pokemon out a lot of the times, letting me pivot and regain momentum. Stealth rocks is a given, and twave is nice to make pokemon like Gren that outspeed the whole team while being tough to switch into here a lot more manageable.

Tornadus-Therian (M) @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Regenerator
Tera Type: Steel
EVs: 252 HP / 64 SpD / 192 Spe
Timid Nature
- Bleakwind Storm
- Taunt
- Knock Off
- U-turn
Mostly just a pivot that I like to slap on teams. I like to lead off with it a lot, prevent the opponent from getting hazards up or get some early knock offs. Its another mon that I like to switch into whenever someone is trying to revenge kill and it also forces a lot of them out with bleakwind, but its more of a blanket switch in rather than for specific mons.

Hydrapple @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Regenerator
Tera Type: Steel
EVs: 252 HP / 92 Def / 164 SpA
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Nasty Plot
- Draco Meteor
- Giga Drain
- Earth Power
I felt I needed another water resist in case I went up against rain or just any threatening water types in general, seeing as my only water resist is Latios and I dont want that getting worn down if I dont have too, but I didnt want anything too passive. It helps with a lot of the grass types in the tier too, as well as usually being safe into Thudurus unless it uses sludge bomb. In most neutral matchups it can 1v1 and just come back later with regen, so its overall very nice to lean on defensively and tera steel lets you win a lot more matchups in a pinch.

Scizor @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Technician
Tera Type: Steel
EVs: 120 HP / 252 Atk / 136 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Swords Dance
- Bullet Punch
- U-turn
- Knock Off
I needed a revenge killer of my own, or just general priority and speed control, while still retaining a useful defensive profile. Its also another pivot, but a slower one, letting me get off the slow u turn to bring in the Latios without having to force a switch.
