Set Description

Landorus' access to Intimidate makes it a great pick for teams that need a good defensive ground type, but the item Assault Vest allows it to boost its exceptional special defense stat to unlock more roles for teams at the cost of not being able to run a key move like Swords Dance. The combination of Earthquake and Smack Down allows this mon to beat Pokemon like Zapdos, Celesteela and niche Pokemon like Rotom-Heat. Outrage gives it solid odds at beating Dragon-types like Regidrago and Naganadel. The fourth move slot can be swapped around depending on whatever the team needs to beat, Bulldoze allows you to beat Entei and Knock Off can beat Spectrier as well as give a more reliable matchup versus Substitute + Disable Dragapult variants.

EVs

Speed allows you to outpace Max Speed Celesteela for a 100% winning matchup. Special Defense lets you survive 2 Life Orb boosted Hurricanes from Timid Nature Zapdos. Lastly, Defense is for Modest Choice Specs Psyshock from Tapu Lele. The leftover EVs are used for investing into Attack for maximum damage output.

Usage Tips

Smack Down must be used turn 1 against Zapdos, Celesteela and Rotom-Heat into Earthquake turn 2 for a guaranteed winning matchup. If running Knock Off over Bulldoze, then Knock Off turn 1 against Dragapult since Outrage locks you in to the move and you can lose to Substitute into Disable forcing you to Struggle. Spam Bulldoze against Entei if it doesn't click an attacking move or Toxic since Pressure can't stall out your Bulldoze due to having High PP, If it does click an attacking move or Toxic then Bulldoze into Earthquake should give you a winning matchup. Knock Off turn 1 into Earthquake turn 2 should guarantee your win against Spectrier.

Set Description

Life Orb allows Landorus-T to boost it's already massive base Attack Stat of 145 even further to beat bulky Pokemon like Metagross. Smack Down with Earthquake allows Landorus-t to beat Celesteela. Outrage is for Dragon-type Pokemon like Haxorus since Intimidate allows Landorus-T to survive a Choice Band boosted Outrage from Haxorus. Swords Dance is for Stall Pokemon like Registeel and Galarian Corsola.

EVs

104 Speed EVs allows Landorus-T to outpace Celesteela. Max Attack investment to guarantee a KO on Weakness Policy Metagross and rest of the EVs are dumped into Defense for best odds of living Ice Punch from Choice Scarf Metagross

Usage Tips

Smack Down turn 1 against Celesteela since it is a Flying-type Pokemon, then Earthquake for the KO. Swords Dance turn 1 against Stall Pokemon like Registeel since it can click Counter and win if Landorus-T is unable to OHKO, even something like Galarian Corsola since it can click Strength Sap to lower Landorus-T's Attack while also recovering and click Will-O-Wisp afterwards for chipping away at Landorus-T

Other Options

Landorus-T can also run Superpower over Smack Down to be able to beat a few variants of Urshifu-S and Zarude while still having okay odds at beating Celesteela, but you are often better off with running a real counter to Dark-type Pokemon while having Smack Down for a reliable Celesteela matchup

Set Description

Landorus' Assault Vest Landorus-T's access to Intimidate makes it a great pick for teams that need a good defensive ground type Ground-type. but Holding an Assault Vest allows it to boost its exceptional Special Defense stat to unlock more roles (what roles does it unlock? Honestly I'd rephrase these first couple of sentences to cut down on the fluff and get to the point. I think stating something like "Landorus-T's Assault Vest allows for it to be a more defensive Ground-type. However, since Landorus-T cannot run Swords Dance [what happens]. The attack drop from Landorus-T's Intimidate allows it to win against [name certain matchups]) for teams at the cost of not being able to run a key move like Swords Dance. The combination of Earthquake and Smack Down allows this mon Landorus-T to beat Pokemon like Zapdos, Celesteela, (AC, Smogon likes the Oxford comma!) and niche Pokemon like Rotom-Heat. (If it's that niche, don't include it. Personally, from what I have seen, Rotom-Heat isn't that Niche, so I'd recommend removing "niche Pokemon like" Outrage gives it solid odds at beating Dragon-types like Regidrago (what Regidrago sets does it not beat? iirc, the common sets are Haban, Custap, Band, AV, and WP. I think the only thing you're losing to is WP? Maybe mention this) and Naganadel (why wouldn't you just EQ the Dragon-type?). The fourth move slot can be swapped around depending on whatever the team needs to beat, Bulldoze allows you Landorus-T to beat Entei and Knock Off can beat Spectrier as well as give a more reliable matchup versus Substitute + Disable Dragapult variants. (does it give you a better mu? Don't you just alternate between Earthquake and Bulldoze since both break Dragapult's Substitute? Having two bulldoze Speed drops allows Landorus-T to outspeed Dragapult and use Outrage, so I don't think that Knock Off should be mentioned other than for Spectrier. Regarding Spectrier, doesn't WP just Wisp turn 1 and win with using Hex twice? This may be good to mention.)

EVs

104 Speed EVs allows you Landorus-T (big note: don't use "you" in an analysis! The player is likely not a Landorus-T! It's better to use either the Pokemon's name or a corresponding pronoun to refer to it) to outpace outspeed Max Speed Celesteela for a 100% winning matchup. 164 EVs in Special Defense lets you Landorus-T survive 2 Life Orb boosted Hurricanes from Timid Nature Zapdos. Lastly, The 4 Defense EVs is are for Modest Choice Specs Psyshock from Tapu Lele. The leftover EVs are used for investing into Attack for maximum damage output.

Usage Tips

Smack Down must be used turn 1 against Zapdos, Celesteela, (AC) and Rotom-Heat; (ASC) this allows Earthquake to OHKO on turn 2 into Earthquake turn 2 for a guaranteed winning matchup. If running Knock Off over Bulldoze, then Knock Off turn 1 against Dragapult since Outrage locks you Landorus-T in to the move and you can lose to Substitute into Disable by forcing you to Struggle. (depends on what you do with that last sentence, the point above about Bulldoze and Knock Off still stands) Landorus-T should spam Bulldoze against Entei if it doesn't click an attacking move or Toxic since Pressure can't stall out your Landorus-T's Bulldoze due to having High PP. (AP) If it does click an attacking move or Toxic, (AC) then Bulldoze into Earthquake should give you Landorus-T a winning matchup. (Can't you use Earthquake on some turns anyway? You can outspeed after one Bulldoze, and Earthquake does more damage, spamming Bulldoze does not seem to be necessary) Knock Off on turn 1 into Earthquake on turn 2 should guarantee your Landorus-T's win against Spectrier. (not against Weakness Policy I think, mentioned this above with the Knock Off / Bulldoze comment!)

This ended up being a lot more smogon grammar standards fixes than anything else, but a lot of the QC stuff and questions to address are in this colour.
