DISCLAIMER: I did not copy @AE | ScorpioN RMT’s Torterra set, I made up the set and any similarities are purely coincidental.
WIth the introduction of the DLC1, returning and new pokemon have been introduced, and there were two pokemon that struck my eye: Torterra and Ogrepon. Torterra felt underrated back in DPPT, so when I heard that Torterra got Shell Smash I knew I needed this turtle on my team. Ogrepon-Wellspring looks good in my opinion, and also has really good typing and ability, so to put these pokemon on the same team I created this team with a Balance (HO? I don’t know [:)]) FWG core that consists of Torterra and Ogrepon-Wellspring.

Torterra @ Loaded Dice
Ability: Shell Armor
EVs: 252 Spe / 252 Atk / 4 HP
Tera Type: Rock
Jolly Nature
- Shell Smash
- Bullet Seed
- Earthquake / Headlong Rush
- Rock Blast
This Torterra set is probably my favorite: The Torterra Loaded Dice Smash set (as I like to call it). You basically just set up Shell Smash and then you fire off STAB Bullet seed or rock blast, with either EQ or headlong rush. If anybody would tell me which one is better, that would be helpful, but I personally would run EQ, because the defense drop is annoying against any priority (ahem….. Crawdaunt*). Max Atk and Spe makes it hit as hard as it can as fast as it can with a Jolly nature. Shell Armor is just a good ability overall, cause crits are annoying in general. Tera Rock for better matchups against Ice and Flying, and also boost Rock Blast, which can hit the mentioned weaknesses pretty well.

Ogerpon-Wellspring @ Wellspring Mask
Ability: Water Absorb
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Tera Type: Water
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Ivy Cudgel
- Horn Leech
- Knock Off / Play Rough / Spiky Shield
The second main pokemon and the water part of the FWG core. Standard Swords Dance set, with Ivy Cudgel for main STAB and Horn Leech for recovering the health lost when setting up. Knock Off is just good in general, but i feel like this can get replaced with like Play Rough or Spiky Shield comments are welcome, but Knock Off went pretty well for me. THe EV spread is standard for most set-up ogrepon, MAx Attack and Speed, and Wellspring Mask is crucial for Ogrepon to be this form, and also increases the power of its moves by 1.2, making Ivy Cudgel a 120 BP move, if my math is correct.

Heatran @ Leftovers
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 212 SpD / 40 Spe
Tera Type: Grass
Calm Nature
- Magma Storm
- Taunt
- Earth Power
- Flash Cannon
LIke the old-timer I am, this slot usually was Skeledirge because of itś ability to wall using Unaware. However, I happened to, um… “stumble” upon Heatran when trying to find a different option because Skeledirge is kinda outdated and . THis meant to be a Gliscor Wall if itś AIr Balloon isn’t popped, as I taunt can stop it from setting up and Magma Storm so it it is trapped and can get killed by another member of my team, but it can work on other stallers and taunt-trap them. Earth Power and FLash Cannon are its coverage moves, and can hit most pokemon in OU. Tera Grass removes most of it’s weaknesses, notably losing its immunity to toxic, and keeps its fire immunity with Flash Fire. The Ev spread mainly for special defense, with 40 Spe apparently used to “outspeed Adamant KIngambit and Azumarill,” and leftovers are for passive recovery to keep Heatran healthy.

Mamoswine @ NevermeltIce
Ability: Thick Fat
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Tera Type: Grass
Adamant Nature
- Icicle Crash
- Earthquake
- Knock Off
- Ice Shard
Another Gliscor counter, and a returning pokemon introduced in DLC1. Icicle Crash and Earthquake are its Main STABs, with Ice Shard being able to 2HKO Gliscor after Poison Heal recovery. Knock Off is just good overall and can help with the mons that deeply rely on their items. Tera Grass removes its Water weakness (you can technically switch into Ogrepon, but in case), while Thick Fat helps with its fire and Ice weakness. Max Atk Adamant, and speed again to hit hard and fast, and NevermeltIce can make an Ice shard crit kill a Gliscor with Max HP and no defense investment, and also boosts its Ice moves.

Kommo-o @ Throat Spray
Ability: Soundproof
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Tera Type: Steel
Timid Nature
- Clangorous Soul
- Boomburst
- Clanging Scales
- Flash Cannon
This Kommo set is my favorite beside the Salac Sub-BellyDrum set. THis is my main special attacker. ClangSoul is for the setup, and also activates Throat Spray, getting to +2 SpA. Boomburst and Clanging Scales are its main attacking moves, and Flash Cannon is for the pesky fairy types, and Tera Steel is for resisting them as well. Max Special Attack and Speed fit the special sweeper, with timid nature to speed tie other Kommo-o that doesn’t have Soundproof. You could run flamethrower instead of Flash Cannon, it helps with steel types, which this set has literally nothing to beat them.

Munkidori @ Colbur Berry
Ability: Toxic Chain
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Tera Type: Fighting
Timid Nature
- Parting Shot / Nasty Plot
- Psychic
- Sludge Wave
- Shadow Ball / Focus Blast
Munkidori is my other special attacker, and it can help as a revenge killer and nice pivoter with Parting Shot. Psychic and Sludge Wave are its main STAB, with either Shadow ball or FOcus Blast (I ran SHadow Ball, but usually used Parting SHot to pivot out of KIngambit, because It didn’t have anything for it, but FOcus Blast could help with it, Nasty Plot was another thing that I could have put on but didn’t use. Suggestions are welcome. ) Tera Fighting for the pesky Kingambit and other dark types when I don’t want to tera. Max SpA and Spe with Timid to help with damage and be able to quickly pivot out, and Colbur berry for the dark moves (kingambit again).
*There was a Crawdaunt I ran into that did 47% or something like that to Torterra with Life Orb Aqua Jet WHEN IT DIDN'T”T SHELL SMASH.
So there it is. MY first RMT in a year or so! Probably gonna make a monotype one……..
BUt anyway! Suggestions are welcome and everybody have a nice week….. Especially when it’s gonna be really hot……..
