Gen 7 Kyurem-Black (QC 2/2) (GP 2/2)

[OVERVIEW]
Kyurem-B is a great wallbreaker thanks to its nearly unresisted and strong coverage. Its Speed is quite good compared to other wallbreakers like Mega Mawile and Tapu Bulu; it threatens more Pokemon than them, even including some offensive ones. Teravolt lets it hit Pokemon like Rotom-W with Earth Power, enhancing its existing coverage for Pokemon like Heatran, Ferrothorn, and Mega Scizor. Kyurem-B's bulk is also quite good, enabling it to come in on some passive Pokemon like Zapdos, Gliscor, and Tangrowth lacking Sludge Bomb, as well as taking at least one hit from faster Pokemon like Serperior, Tapu Koko, and Greninja. However, its weak defensive typing and vulnerability to entry hazards, especially Stealth Rock, make its entry opportunities more limited than they may seem; it usually relies on aggressive switches and pivot support to get on the field. Thus, Kyurem-B can sometimes have trouble doing its job against bulkier teams: Life Orb sets especially, due to the added recoil forcing more uses of Roost. Kyurem-B is also quite vulnerable to status ailments from Pokemon like Toxapex, Gliscor, and Tangrowth, making switching into these Pokemon not as risk-free as it may appear. Also, while its matchup against bulkier teams is great despite its entry struggles, Kyurem-B struggles against faster offensive teams, which can revenge kill it easily with Pokemon such as Kartana, Mega Lopunny, and Mega Diancie due to its average Speed.

Set Description
========
Freeze Shock's Subzero Slammer lets Kyurem-B blow through any Pokemon that doesn't resist it and deal a ton of damage to most Pokemon that do. Freeze Shock itself should only be used if behind a Substitute and after Subzero Slammer. Fusion Bolt hits Water-types like Toxapex, Tapu Fini, Manaphy, and Slowbro. Its good power and neutral coverage make it a generally safe choice, especially in Electric Terrain. Ice Beam lets Kyurem-B handle Ice-weak Pokemon like Landorus-T, Gliscor, Zapdos, and Tangrowth without or after burning its Z-Move. Earth Power hits Rotom-W and Steel-types such as Heatran and Jirachi. Make sure to not reveal Earth Power too early though, as you want to surprise them as they come in. Substitute lets Kyurem-B punish switches, lessen prediction, and block status moves from Pokemon like Toxapex, Rotom-W, Gliscor, Zapdos, and Tangrowth. It should be used against passive Pokemon. Roost can be used in the last moveslot for sustainability against bulkier teams. Kyurem-B can also pivot into resisted and weak attacks like Greninja's Hydro Pump and Heatran's Earth Power. Naive is used over Hasty to take hits from Pokemon like Landorus-T and Kartana better. However, Hasty can be used if you're well-covered against those threats and prefer to take hits from Battle Bond Greninja, Reuniclus lacking Focus Blast, and Mega Latias. Electrium Z can be used over Icium Z to massively damage the Steel-tyes typically used to absorb Subzero Slammer and even OHKOes Celesteela. If using it, Kyurem-B should replace Freeze Shock with Earth Power or Roost.

At Team Preview, see what Pokemon Kyurem-B is able to break through, what Pokemon it should aim to hit hard with its Z-Move, and if entry hazards are necessary to achieve any really important KOs. The Z-Move should only be used if you're confident it will make progress you can capitalize on. Get Kyurem-B in on Pokemon that can't do too much much to it like Toxapex lacking Toxic, Tangrowth, Gliscor, Zapdos, and Reuniclus lacking Focus Blast. It's ideal to get it in on these Pokemon as they use a recovery move.

Team Options
========
Tapu Fini protects Kyurem-B from status with Misty Terrain, clears Stealth Rock with Defog, and threatens Heatran with Scald—if Kyurem-B lacks Earth Power—and Ferrothorn and Mega Scizor with Nature's Madness. Kyurem-B destroys Grass-types and Rotom-W for Tapu Fini while also beating Gliscor and Heatran if running Earth Power, which frees Tapu Fini up to run Nature's Madness over Scald. Entry hazard control sources like Tapu Fini, Rotom-W, Tornadus-T, and Gliscor are important for its Stealth Rock weakness. VoltTurn users like Landorus-T, defensive Magearna, Tornadus-T, Mega Scizor, Rotom-W, and Tapu Koko are able to pivot Kyurem-B into slower Pokemon safely. Tapu Koko, in particular, brings Electric Terrain to boost Fusion Bolt's power and is an essential partner if running Electrium Z. Mega Alakazam, Choice Scarf Kartana, and Mega Lopunny appreciate Kyurem-B hitting a bulky foe with its Z-Move and are good against faster offensive teams. Spikes support from Greninja and Ferrothorn can wear down Pokemon into KO range of Kyurem-B's attacks, and Kyurem-B threatens Pokemon immune to Spikes like Gliscor and Rotom-W with its coverage. This support works especially well with Electrium Z sets because the Pokemon can take Gigavolt Havoc are very vulnerable to Spikes. Steel-types like Jirachi, Mega Scizor, Magearna, Ferrothorn, and Heatran can switch into Rock- and Fairy-types such as Tapu Lele, Tyranitar, and Clefable. Heatran is a particularly great partner because it can handle Mega Scizor and Ferrothorn while providing Stealth Rock support. In return, Kyurem-B wears down or takes out Tapu Fini, Gliscor, Mega Latias, and Mega Latios. All Steel-types appreciate Kyurem-B scaring out Ground- and Water-types.

Set Description
========
Fusion Bolt hits Water-types like Toxapex, Tapu Fini, Manaphy, and Slowbro. Its good power and neutral coverage make it a generally safe choice, especially in Electric Terrain. Roost keeps Kyurem-B healthy and able to wallbreak despite Life Orb recoil and entry hazard damage. It also means Kyurem-B can switch into resisted and weak attacks like Greninja's Hydro Pump and Heatran's Earth Power. Hidden Power Fire hits Ferrothorn and Mega Scizor much harder than Earth Power while still denting most other Steel-types like Jirachi. Earth Power, on the other hand, hits Rotom-W, Heatran, and Jirachi as hard as possible. Naive is used over Hasty to take hits from Pokemon like Landorus-T and Kartana better. However, Hasty can be used if you're well covered against those threats and prefer to take hits from Battle Bond Greninja, Reuniclus lacking Focus Blast, and Mega Latias.

Use Kyurem-B to do as much damage as possible throughout the game so its faster teammates can clean. Prediction is key, as many Pokemon coming into it can take one of its moves but not others. Mega Scizor and Ferrothorn will likely scout for Hidden Power Fire, so don't reveal it immediately. The same is true for Heatran and Rotom-W with Earth Power. Only attempt to use Roost on forced switches, or status-reliant Pokemon if in Misty Terrain. Keeping Kyurem-B healthy is especially important against bulkier teams and teams with offensive threats Kyurem-B can defensively handle, like Serperior and Gigavolt Havoc Rotom-W.

Team Options
========
Tapu Fini protects Kyurem-B from status with Misty Terrain, clears Stealth Rock with Defog, and threatens Heatran with Scald—if Kyurem-B lacks Earth Power—and Ferrothorn and Mega Scizor with Nature's Madness—if lacking Hidden Power Fire. Kyurem-B destroys Grass-types and Rotom-W for Tapu Fini while also beating Gliscor and Heatran if running Earth Power, which frees Tapu Fini up to run Nature's Madness over Scald. Other entry hazard control sources like Rotom-W, Tapu Fini, Gliscor, and Tornadus-T are important for a Stealth Rock-weak Pokemon with Life Orb. VoltTurn users like Landorus-T, Tornadus-T, Mega Scizor, Magearna, Rotom-W, and Tapu Koko are able to pivot Kyurem-B into slower Pokemon safely. Tapu Koko, in particular, brings Electric Terrain to boost Fusion Bolt's power. Spikes support from Greninja and Ferrothorn can wear down Pokemon into KO range of Kyurem-B's attacks, which is especially important considering Kyurem-B wants to minimize recoil and lacks a Z-Move nuke. Other wallbreakers, including Mega Mawile, Choice Band Kartana, and Mega Medicham, can team up with Kyurem-B to suffocate bulkier teams. Life Orb Kyurem-B isn't as reliable a solo wallbreaker as its Z-Move set, so another wallbreaker relieves pressure. Shift Gear Magearna, Choice Scarf Tapu Lele, and Mega Lopunny appreciate Life Orb Kyurem-B more comfortably wearing foes down long term than the Z-Move set, and they are good against faster offensive teams. Steel-types like Jirachi, Mega Scizor, defensive Magearna, and Heatran can switch into Rock- and Fairy-types such as Tapu Lele, Tyranitar, and Clefable. Heatran is a particularly great partner because it can handle Mega Scizor and Ferrothorn while providing Stealth Rock support. Due to this set lacking a Z-Move, other Z-Move users such as Shift Gear Magearna, Swords Dance Kartana, and Tapu Koko can be run and make the team's true Z-Move user harder to predict .

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============
A Substitute + Hone Claws with Freeze Shock and Fusion Bolt theoretically demolishes balance and stall teams thanks to Terravolt negating Unaware and Kyurem-B punishing switches very effectively in general. This set runs 52 HP EVs to let its Substitute have 101 HP so Seismic Toss doesn't immediately break it. However, the low PP of the set's attacks, along with its inability to meaningfully damage to some Steel-types that can break its Substitute like Mega Scizor and Jirachi, makes it inconsistent and typically inferior.

Checks and Counters
===================
**Steel-types**: Defensive Magearna and Jirachi can very effectively handle the majority of Kyurem-B sets, Mega Scizor and Ferrothorn can switch into sets lacking Hidden Power Fire and heal the damage, and Heatran can switch into sets lacking Earth Power relatively well. Mega Mawile is able to take one hit from full health, except for Gigavolt Havoc in Electric Terrain, and OHKO Kyurem-B. However, many Steel-types lack recovery and aren't hard to wear down into KO range, so they aren't very good long-term checks regardless of Kyurem-B's coverage.

**Faster Pokemon**: Faster offensive Pokemon like Mega Alakazam, Mega Lopunny, Victini, Mega Diancie, Tapu Lele, Mega Medicham, Z-Move Garchomp, Choice Specs Tapu Koko, and Kartana all force Kyurem-B out with their strong attacks and higher Speed but they typically cannot switch in safely.

**Entry Hazards and Residual Damage**: Entry hazards, mainly Stealth Rock, make Kyurem-B very easy to wear down and minimize the benefits of its good bulk. This issue is furthered by potential Life Orb recoil and other forms of residual damage. Kyurem-B is also quite vulnerable to status when Misty Terrain or Substitute isn't up, which makes it much easier to pivot around and offensively pressure.

[OVERVIEW]
  • Kyurem-B is a great wallbreaker thanks to its high offensive stats, great coverage, and high base power moves which make it very difficult to reliably switch into.
  • Its BoltBeam coverage in Freeze Shock powered up into Subzero Slam or Ice Beam, as well as Fusion Bolt is not widely resisted and even Subzero Slammer does a lot to most common resists.
  • While Steel-types save Celesteela may seem like proper answers on paper, Earth Power and Hidden Power Fire are able to handle most Steel-types. However, Kyurem-B can only choose one of them in its moveset.
    • I feel like these three points can be condensed into a single point since you're more or less focusing on one point; merging these points w/ the great coverage mention could definitely work here, especially if you trim it down. On that note, I don't particularly think that the high bp moves bit is necessary here but if you can work it in without bloating i guess i'll be cool w/ it.
  • This difficulty in switching into Kyurem-B is furthered by Teravolt as it shuts down abilities like Levitate from Rotom-W and Thick Fat from Mega Venusaur.
  • Kyurem-B's bulk is quite good and as such it's able to come in on some passive Pokemon like Ferrothorn lacking Gyro Ball, Zapdos, and Tangrowth lacking Sludge Bomb. It can also more easily come in on these as well as Toxapex and Rotom-W more easily with Misty Terrain support.
  • However, being susceptible to all entry hazards, especially Stealth Rock as well as its overall typing make this harder to do consistently and makes it harder for Kyurem-B to do its job against bulkier teams in general. This is especially the case with Life Orb sets due to the added recoil, where Kyurem-B will need to Roost relatively frequently to stay alive and continue wallbreaking.
    • probably could add its vulnerability status here, given that occasionally you're going to get toxic'd by pex or tang on the switch.
  • While its matchup against bulkier teams is great, Kyurem-B struggles against faster offensive teams that can revenge kill it easily with Pokemon such as Kartana, Mega Lopunny, and Mega Diancie due to its average Speed.
  • If Kyurem-B uses up Subzero Slammer and lacks Substitute, Freeze Shock essentially becomes a wasted moveslot.
    • I feel like you could expand on this and mention that it's reliant on its z crystal for reliable physical ice stab

Moves
========
  • Freeze Shock is used with Icium Z to become Subzero Slammer as it gives Kyurem-B the ability to blow through any Pokemon that doesn't resist it while doing a ton of damage even to most Pokemon that do. Freeze Shock should only be used with Subzero Slammer in most cases and it should only be used outside of the Z-Move if behind a Substitute and if the Z-Move has been used up.
  • Fusion Bolt hits Water-types that resist Subzero Slammer like Toxapex, Tapu Fini, and Manaphy hard while also denying Celesteela from being able to come in safely.
    • probably could just mention that you hit steela because you're making it sound like steela can beat kyub 1v1 if it doesn't hard switch into it
  • Ice Beam makes Kyurem-B able to handle Ice-weak Pokemon like Landorus-T, Gliscor, Zapdos, and Tangrowth without having to burn its Z-move. It also comes in handy when Subzero Slammer has been used up and acts as a more consistent STAB in general.
  • Earth Power hits Steel-types such as Mega Mawile, Heatran, Magearna, and Jirachi that are able to come in on Subzero Slammer while also nailing Rotom-W thanks to Terravolt.
    • I feel like you can omit the maw mention here since it's not really comfortably switching into kyub at all, given that fusion bolt 2hkos 40 hp maw after rocks.
  • Kyurem-B is able to set up Substitute on passive Pokemon that can't do much to it like Zapdos, Tangrowth, Toxapex, and Rotom-W. It can protect Kyurem-B from Scald and Will-O-Wisp burns, Toxic, Discharge and Thunder Wave paralysis, and other forms of residual damage from these passive Pokemon.
    • Please condense this into status; it's unnecessarily long
  • Hidden Power Fire and Roost can be used in the last or Freeze Shock slot if using Electrium Z. Hidden Power Fire handles Mega Scizor while also making it less necessary to burn the Subzero Slammer on Ferrothorn. Meanwhile, Roost gives Kyurem-B long-term sustain against fatter teams which lets it wallbreak more over time.
    • Neither of these options are limited to electrium sets; i personally feel like you could remove HP Fire down to oo given its limited uses.

Set Details
========
  • Hasty is used over Naive to take hits from Ash-Greninja pre-transformation, Mega Latias, non-Wild Charge Tapu Koko variants, as well as Serperior better. Not too sure how I feel about the koko mention given that specs is running gleam atm, just keep the mention at gren and lati.
  • Electrium Z can be used over Icium Z to power up Fusion Bolt instead as STAB Ice Beam prevents Ground-types from switching in easily and it lets Kyurem-B do a ton of damage to the Steel-tyes typically used to absorb Subzero Slammer and even OHKOs Celesteela. If this is used, Kyurem-B should drop Freeze Shock and replace it with Earth Power or Hidden Power Fire.
    • there definitely could be an electric terrain mention here given that you're not really doing enough to these to justify using it w/o terrain.
  • 52 HP EVs can be used as they let Kyurem-B's Substitute hit 101 HP and as such take one Seismic Toss but damage output will be lowered a bit.
    • Honestly idt this is ever worth unless you're running hone claws, perhaps move this down to oo to reflect that?
  • Feel like you an give a brief point on why you're using icium here.

Usage Tips
========
  • At the start of the game, see what Pokemon Kyurem-B is able to break through and what Pokemon it should aim to hit hard with Subzero Slammer or Gigavolt Havoc and if entry hazards are necessary to achieve any really important KOs.
  • Only use Subzero Slammer if you're confident it will make steady progress as you only get one shot to fire it off so it should be used carefully. Don't use Subzero Slammer too early in the match either as that's when the opponent is most likely to scout and switch around it.
    • Again, these two points could be merged; they're basically the same point about z move usage so i don't see why it has to be drawn out like this
  • If predicting switches or against up a Pokemon Kyurem-B can threaten without having to use its Z-Move, use its other attacks to wear down pivots and punish double switches.
  • Earth Power should be used as Steel-types like Magearna, Jirachi, or Heatran switch in as well as Rotom-W.
  • If Hidden Power Fire is being used, be sure to not reveal it too early if facing a Mega Scizor or Ferrothorn as they'll be less likely to come in if it's revealed.
    • Considering that this is basically the same point on timing coverage moves, just merge them really.
  • If running Substitute, use it when predicting a switch, status move, or if facing a Pokemon that do much damage to Kyurem-B.
  • Once Subzero Slammer is used, Freeze Shock should only be used behind a Substitute.
  • Definitely would like to see some points on when and how to bring it in.
Team Options
========
  • Choice Scarf Landorus-T can U-turn to get Kyurem-B in safely against the walls it can break through while threatening faster Pokemon like Mega Alakazam and Mega Diancie and hitting Steel-types that can take Subzero Slammer such as Magearna and Jirachi. It can even Defog if absolutely necessary. Meanwhile, Kyurem-B is able to weaken many Pokemon Landorus-T can't break like Tornadus-T and Celesteela and potentially give it a chance to sweep late-game as a result.
  • Tapu Fini is a great teammate as Kyurem-B from status which gives it more opportunities to pivot in while clearing entry hazards with Defog and threatening Heatran with Surf if Kyurem-B lacks Earth Power or Ferrothorn and Mega Scizor with Nature's Madness if lacking Hidden Power Fire. Kyurem-B meanwhile destroys Grass-types and Rotom-W for Tapu Fini while also beating Gliscor and Heatran if running Earth Power, which frees Tapu Fini up to run Nature's Madness instead of a Water move.
  • Stealth Rock setters such as Heatran, Ferrothorn, Gliscor, and Mega Tyranitar make great partners as they help Kyurem-B net KOs easier.
    • Remove this point; rockers benefit every mon period so it's not worth mentioning
  • Gliscor can use Stealth Rock or Defog to aid Kyurem-B in wallbreaking while also being able to handle Heatran as well as Tyranitar, Magearna, and Mega Mawile lacking Ice coverage which can make it easier for Kyurem-B to run Hidden Power Fire. Gliscor can even U-Turn to get Kyurem-B in safely in a similar fashion to Landorus-T.
  • Pokemon that appreciate Kyurem-B's wallbreaking while being good against faster offensive teams like Mega Alakazam, Choice Scarf Kartana, and Mega Lopunny work well with Kyurem-B.
  • VoltTurn users like the aforementioned Landorus-T, Tornadus-T, Mega Scizor, and Rotom-W are able to pivot Kyurem-B into slower Pokemon safely.
  • Spikes support can wear down Pokemon into range of Kyurem-B's attacks, this support works especially well with Eelectrium Z sets. Both Greninja forms, as well as Ferrothorn, can provide this support with Greninja applying additional offensive pressure while Ferrothorn can switch into Fairy- and Rock-types for Kyurem-B.
  • Other hazard control methods like Rotom-W, Mew, Tornadus-T, and Sand Rush Excadrill are able to keep off entry hazards for Kyurem-B.
  • Tapu Koko brings Electric Terrain to boost Fusion Bolt's power. This makes Electrium Z sets much harder to switch into. Tapu Koko can also U-Turn Kyurem-B in safely, with it taking out Grass- and Ground-types for Tapu Koko.
  • Steel-types like Jirachi, Mega Scizor, and Heatran can switch into Rock- and Fairy-types that threaten Kyurem-B immensely such as Tapu Lele, Tyranitar, and Clefable. Heatran, in particular, is a great partner as it can handle Mega Scizor, and Ferrothorn while providing Stealth Rock support. In return, Kyurem-B wears down or takes out Tapu Fini, Gliscor, and Mega Latios for Heatran.
  • Assault Vest Magearna can switch into Tapu Lele, Mega Alakazam, and Mega Diancie for Kyurem-B while getting it in safely via Volt Switch. In return, Kyurem-B lets Magearna drop Ice Beam as it can threaten Gliscor for Magearna and it destroys Heatran if running Earth Power and Mega Scizor if running Hidden Power Fire for Magearna.
I've read this section a few times now, and I really have nothing else to say that this is needlessly expanding on things. Most of these points are repetitive, especially given that there's a shared focus on a single element; there's like 4 different bullet points on hazard control options, which I really don't get given that the majority of those options overlap in so many different ways, so would it not be easier to group them together? The same applies for everything else, just condense it.

Aside from that, I would
definitely rearrange the order of these mentions: I would personally like to see fini being mentioned first given how good it is right now, then followed by other removal. I'd probably put more of an emphasis on momentum support by pushing them up, then merge the steel mentions w/ them, given the reasons above.

Moves
========
  • Fusion Bolt hits Water-types that can take Kyurem-B's other moves like Tapu Fini, Gyarados, Toxapex, and Manaphy while doing a ton of damage to Celesteela.
    • Remove the Gyarados mention, it's not taking ice beam and mega gyara is p much non existent atm
  • Roost keeps Kyurem-B healthy despite Life Orb and entry hazard damage which makes it able to more easily wallbreak throughout the whole game.
  • Earth Power hits Rotom-W and Heatran while also doing much more damage to Magearna, Jirachi and Mega Mawile than Hidden Power Fire.
    • I feel like it's just better to say that it hits the steels as hard as possible
  • Hidden Power Fire hits Ferrothorn and Mega Scizor very hard while still denting which can make it easier to click Ice Beam later in the game.
    • The second half of this point is irrelevant, remove it.
Set Details
========
  • Hasty is used over Naive to take hits from Ash-Greninja pre-transformation, Mega Latias, non-Wild Charge Tapu Koko variants, as well as Serperior better.
    • Remove the serp mention since that's just glaring you on the switch or from behind the sub; do the same thing as I said back up for z kyub.

Usage Tips
========
  • Attempt to do as much damage as possible throughout the game to break holes in the opposing team so Kyurem-B's faster teammates can clean through.
  • Prediction is key when using this Kyurem-B set as many Pokemon coming into it can take one of its moves but not the other so predicting these switches will make them fall. This is especially true early in the game as the opponent will play differently before knowing Kyurem-B is Life Orb as they will be more likely to expect the Subzero Slammer set.
    • Again, you should try merge these two points together, given that they're basically covering the same point; could also be condensed a bit more
  • If Kyurem-B is running Hidden Power Fire, be sure to not give away the fact you have it early on as the Mega Scizor or Ferrothorn user is likely to scout for the move early-on.
  • Only attempt to Roost on forced switches or status-reliant Pokemon if in Misty Terrain. Keeping Kyurem-B healthy in the long-term is especially important against bulkier teams or even teams with offensive threats Kyurem-B can defensively handle somewhat reliably like Serperior or Gigavolt Havoc Rotom-W.

Team Options
========
  • Tapu Fini is a great teammate as Kyurem-B from status which gives it more opportunities to pivot in as well as use Roost while still clearing entry hazards with Defog and threatening Heatran with Surf if Kyurem-B lacks Earth Power or Ferrothorn and Mega Scizor with Nature's Madness if lacking Hidden Power Fire. Kyurem-B meanwhile destroys Grass-types and Rotom-W for Tapu Fini while also beating Gliscor and Heatran if running Earth Power, which frees Tapu Fini up to run Nature's Madness instead of a Water move.
  • Ash-Greninja sets Spikes for Kyurem-B so checks like Assault Vest Magearna, Gastrodon, and Tyranitar are more easy to offensively pressure while being more threatening to faster teams. In return, Kyurem-B destroys the Grass-types that can get in Ash-Greninja's way while also wearing down its other checks like Assault Vest Magearna and Tapu Fini.
  • Choice Scarf Landorus-T can U-turn to get Kyurem-B in safely against the walls it can break through while threatening faster Pokemon like Mega Alakazam and Mega Diancie while also hitting Steel-types such as Magearna. It can even Defog if absolutely necessary. Meanwhile, Kyurem-B is able to weaken many Pokemon Landorus-T can't break like Grass- and Flying-types as well as Mega Scizor if running Hidden Power Fire and give it a chance to sweep late-game.
  • Other hazard control methods like Rotom-W, Gliscor, Tornadus-T, and Sand Rush Excadrill are able to keep off entry hazards for Kyurem-B.
  • Other wallbreakers, including Mega Mawile, Choice Band Kartana, and Mega Medicham are able to team up with Kyurem-B to suffocate fatter teams and make it very difficult for them to function.
  • Due to this set lacking a Z-Move, other Z-Move users such as Shift Gear Magearna, Swords Dance Kartana, Tapu Koko, and Calm Mind Keldeo work well with this set as it can even bluff the Subzero Slammer set early in the game so the Z-Move is more unexpected from the other Pokemon.
  • Pokemon that appreciate Kyurem-B's wallbreaking while being good against faster offensive teams like Shift Gear Magearna, Choice Scarf Tapu Lele, and Mega Lopunny work well with Kyurem-B.
Same problem here, try to condense this.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============
  • Choice Scarf can act as a decent revenge killer in theory thanks to its solid bulk and decent Speed tier. However, it lacks a good move to be locked into and the Stealth Rock weakness makes it hard to switch out and get back in.
    • Remove this entirely; scarf kyub is absolutely unusable, given that you're throwing away its niche entirely for something that's incredibly exploitable etc. etc, just remove this.
  • A Substitute + Hone Claws with Freeze Shock and Fusion Bolt could work in theory to absolutely demolish opposing balance and stall teams thanks to Terravolt negating Unaware while punishing switches very effectively in general. However, the low PP of the attacking moves on this set along with its inability to do meaningful damage to some Steel-types that can break its Substitute like Mega Scizor and Jirachi make this set inconsistent and typically inferior to the standard Z-Freeze Shock set with Substitute.

    Checks and Counters
    ===================
Similarly to the team options, this just adds a lot of redundant fluff, just group stuff together if they have similarities yeah. I don't think you need to extensively explain everything, just give
  • **Steel-Types**: Defensive Magearna and Jirachi are able to very effectively handle the majority of Kyurem-B sets while Mega Scizor and Ferrothorn can pivot into sets lacking Hidden Power Fire and heal the damage off via Roost and Leech Seed respectively and Heatran can switch into sets lacking Earth Power relatively well. Mega Mawile is also able to take one hit from full health except for Gigavolt Havoc in Electric Terrain and OHKO Kyurem-B and while it can't switch in, Kartana forces Kyurem-B out do the threat of a OHKO with Smart Strike and Sacred Sword. However, none of these Pokemon are always safe answers due to their bulk, Kyurem-B's potential coverage, and item choice making what checks it change. Not to mention Magearna, Heatran and Mega Mawile lack recovery and aren't hard to wear down into range of Kyurem-B's attacks so they aren't very good long-term checks regardless of what coverage Kyurem-B runs to hit Steel-types.
  • **Faster Pokemon with Super Effective Coverage just make this Faster Pokemon since you've got stuf like torn / gren / victini / etc are all able to comfortably revenge it**: Faster offensive Pokemon that can hit Kyurem-B super effectively like Mega Alakazam, Mega Lopunny, Mega Medicham, Z-Move Garchomp, and Kartana all force Kyurem-B out with their super effective coverage and higher Speed but they can't typically switch into Kyurem-B safely.
  • **Fairy-types**: Clefable can shrug off just about everything but Subzero Slammer and Life Orb Ice Beam if it's physically defensive and can cripple Kyurem-B with Thunder Wave, Knock Off if Kyurem-B is a Life Orb set, or hit it super effectively. prioritise hitting it with moonblast; mention that physdef lo cm variants use z kyub as setup fodder once the z has been used up; remove the knock mentions since you're more than likely going to moonblast in the face of kyub anyways; same can be said about twave, which has not only dropped down in usage quite a lot but subbing up on clef to scout is a thing Tapu Lele can OHKO Kyurem-B easily and can take any one hit that isn't Subzero Slammer while Choice Scarf sets are even guaranteed to outspeed it. However, it can't switch in easily and is forced to Speed tie if not Choice Scarf. I feel like it's just better to exclusively mention scarf since tying is really unreliable Mega Diancie outspeeds Kyurem-B and can even set up Stealth Rock as Kyurem-B switches out of it, forcing it and its teammates to take chip damage. Choice Specs Tapu Koko can use force Kyurem-B with the threat of STAB Dazzling Gleam and can even potentially Volt Switch out of it or what comes into it on a switch. However, all of these Pokemon have a hard time switching into Kyurem-B and stomaching hits from it.
  • **Entry Hazards and Residual Damage**: Entry hazards, mainly Stealth Rock are a massive issue for Kyurem-B as they make it very easy to wear it down and minimize the benefits of its good bulk. This issue of being worn down quick is furthered by potential Life Orb recoil, sand damage, and burn and poison. Kyurem-B is also quite vulnerable to status in general when Misty Terrain isn't up or Kyurem-B isn't behind a Substitute, which makes it much easier to pivot around and offensively check when it's on a timer or slowed down.

Merry Christmas

give me another ping once you're done w/ this.

Kyurem-B is a great wallbreaker thanks to its nearly unresisted and strong coverage alongside its access to Teravolt to get around abilities like Levitate and Thick Fat make it very difficult to reliably switch into.
idt mentioning teravolt is super necessary in this first sentence. would rather see something about how its massive attack and passable speed (when compared to maw or something) lets it break well
While Steel-types save Celesteela may seem like proper answers on paper, Earth Power and Hidden Power Fire are able to handle most Steel-types. However, Kyurem-B can only choose one of them in its moveset.
this is kind of specific for the overview, could sum it up well by mentioning how teravolt and the coverage options expand its breaking potential in one sentence here with emphasis on stuff like rotom (for teravolt) and sciz/ferro/tran (for coverage)
Kyurem-B's bulk is quite good and as such it's able to come in on some passive Pokemon like Ferrothorn lacking Gyro Ball or Leech Seed, Zapdos, and Tangrowth lacking Sludge Bomb. It can also more easily come in on these as well as Toxapex and Rotom-W with Misty Terrain support.
idk how accurate this ultimately becomes... coming in on ferro is usually a negative trade for it and the other stuff is kinda oddly specific for the overview. try mentioning grounds like gliscor instead of ferro here, and mention how kyub can often win 1v1s vs kart/zam/serp/gren and other faster mons.
  • However, being susceptible to all entry hazards, especially Stealth Rock as well as its overall typing make this harder to do consistently and as such makes it harder for Kyurem-B to do its job against bulkier teams in general. This is especially the case with Life Orb sets due to the added recoil, where Kyurem-B will need to Roost relatively frequently to stay alive and continue wallbreaking. Kyurem-B is also quite vulnerable to status from Toxapex, Gliscor, and Tangrowth if Misty Terrain or a Substitute isn't up, making switching into these Pokemon directly not as risk-free as it may appear to be.
in addition to this, i think id want to mention its typing by saying something like "its weak defensive typing and vulnerability to entry hazards makes its entry opportunities very limited, and therefore relies heavily on aggressive switches during free turns or pivot support to join the battle".

  • Fusion Bolt hits Water-types that resist Subzero Slammer like Toxapex, Tapu Fini, Manaphy, and Slowbro.
  • Earth Power hits Steel-types such as Heatran, Magearna, and Jirachi that are able to come in on Subzero Slammer while also nailing Rotom-W thanks to Terravolt.
  • Substitute protects Kyurem-B from status moves from Pokemon like Toxapex, Gliscor, Zapdos, and Tangrowth.
  • Roost can be used in the last slot on Icium Z sets or the Freeze Shock slot if using Electrium Z to give Kyurem-B long-term sustain against bulkier teams, which lets it wallbreak more over time.

    Set Details
    ========
  • Hasty is used over Naive to take hits from Ash-Greninja pre-transformation and Mega Latias better.
  • Icium Z is run to give Kyurem-B a reliable physical Ice-type STAB attack that can OHKO almost anything that doesn't resist it in one shot while even doing a ton of damage to Pokemon that resist it, giving Kyurem-B offensive value in every game.
If this is used, Kyurem-B should drop Freeze Shock and replace it with Earth Power or Roost.

    Usage Tips
    ========
  • At the start of the game, see what Pokemon Kyurem-B is able to break through and what Pokemon it should aim to hit hard with Subzero Slammer or Gigavolt Havoc and if entry hazards are necessary to achieve any really important KOs. The Z-Move should only be used if you're confident it will make steady progress as you only get one shot to fire it off so it should be used carefully.
  • If predicting switches or against up a Pokemon Kyurem-B can threaten without having to use its Z-Move, use its other attacks to wear down pivots and punish double switches. For example, if Earth Power is being used, be sure to not reveal it too early if facing a Heatran or Rotom-W, as they'll be less likely to come in if Earth Power is revealed.
  • Get Kyurem-B in on Pokemon that can't do too much much to it like Toxapex lacking Toxic, Tangrowth, Gliscor, Zapdos, and Reuniclus lacking Focus Blast. It's most ideal to get it in on these types of Pokemon as they use a recovery move. Kyurem-B can also pivot into weak or resisted attacks like Ash-Greninja's Hydro Pump or Heatran's Earth Power. It should be careful to not get in as these Pokemon use status or super effective moves, however.
  • If running Substitute, use it when predicting a switch, status move, or if facing a Pokemon that do much damage to Kyurem-B.
  • Once Subzero Slammer is used, Freeze Shock should only be used behind a Substitute.

  • If Kyurem-B is running Hidden Power Fire, be sure to not give away the fact you have it early on as the Mega Scizor or Ferrothorn user is likely to scout for the move early-on. The same is true with Heatran and scouting Earth Power.

Kyurem-B meanwhile destroys Grass-types and Rotom-W for Tapu Fini while also beating Gliscor and Heatran if running Earth Power, which frees Tapu Fini up to run Nature's Madness instead of a Water move.

  • Other wallbreakers, including Mega Mawile, Choice Band Kartana, and Mega Medicham are able to team up with Kyurem-B to suffocate fatter teams and make it very difficult for them to function.
  • Pokemon that appreciate Kyurem-B's wallbreaking while being good against faster offensive teams like Shift Gear Magearna, Choice Scarf Tapu Lele, and Mega Lopunny work well with Kyurem-B.
  • Steel-types like Jirachi, Mega Scizor, defensive Magearna, and Heatran can switch into Rock- and Fairy-types that threaten Kyurem-B immensely such as Tapu Lele, Tyranitar, and Clefable. Heatran, in particular, is a great partner as it can handle Mega Scizor, and Ferrothorn while providing Stealth Rock support.
  • Due to this set lacking a Z-Move, other Z-Move users such as Shift Gear Magearna, Swords Dance Kartana, and Tapu Koko work well with this set as it can bluff the Subzero Slammer set early in the game so the Z-Move is more unexpected from the other Pokemon.
pls differentiate this from the other set. what does icium support/get support from that lokb doesn't and vice versa
**Fairy-types**: Clefable can shrug off just about everything but Subzero Slammer and Life Orb Ice Beam if it's physically defensive and can hit Kyurem-B hard with Moonblast or even use the Z-Move set as setup fodder if it's a physically defensive Calm Mind set after the Z-Move is used up. Tapu Lele can OHKO Kyurem-B easily and can take any one hit that isn't Subzero Slammer while Choice Scarf sets are even guaranteed to outspeed it. Mega Diancie outspeeds Kyurem-B and can even set up Stealth Rock as Kyurem-B switches out of it. However, all of these Pokemon have a hard time switching into Kyurem-B and stomaching hits from it.

[OVERVIEW]
Kyurem-B is a great wallbreaker thanks to its nearly unresisted and strong coverage alongside its massive Attack stat. Its Speed stat is also quite good compared to other wallbreakers like Mega Mawile and Tapu Bulu,; (semi) it threatens which lets it threaten more Pokemon, even including some offensive ones. Teravolt further expands Kyurem-B's wallbreaking prowess by letting it hit Pokemon like Rotom-W super effectively with its coverage, with said coverage also potentially hitting with Earth Power, enhancing the coverage it already has for Pokemon like Heatran, Ferrothorn, and Mega Scizor. On top of all these things, Kyurem-B's bulk is quite good and as such it's able also quite good, enabling it to come in on some passive Pokemon like Zapdos, Gliscor, and Tangrowth lacking Sludge Bomb as well as being able to take taking at least one hit from faster Pokemon like Serperior, Tapu Koko, and Greninja. However, its weak defensive typing and vulnerability to entry hazards, especially Stealth Rock, makes Kyurem-B's make its entry opportunities limited more limited than they may seem; (semi) it usually relies on aggressive switches and at first glance, and therefore usually relies on aggressive switches during free turns or pivot support to get on the field. As such, Kyurem-B can sometimes have trouble doing its job against bulkier teams. This is especially the case with Life Orb sets due to the added recoil, (comma) where Kyurem-B will need to Roost relatively frequently to stay alive and continue wallbreaking forcing more uses of Roost. Kyurem-B is also quite vulnerable to status ailments from Pokemon like Toxapex, Gliscor, and Tangrowth if Misty Terrain or a Substitute isn't up, making switching into these Pokemon directly not as risk-free as it may appear to be. Also, while its matchup against bulkier teams is great, Kyurem-B struggles against faster offensive teams, (comma) which that can revenge kill it easily with Pokemon such as Kartana, Mega Lopunny, and Mega Diancie due to its average Speed. On top of these things, if Kyurem-B uses Subzero Slammer and lacks Substitute on a set with Freeze Shock, Freeze Shock essentially becomes a wasted moveslot and leaves it with no reliable physical Ice STAB attack Freeze Shock is necessary for its Subzero Slammer set but useless without Substitute. (is a moderate flaw of one of two sets really worth mentioning up here?)

Set Description
========
Freeze Shock is used with Icium Z to become Subzero Slammer, as it Freeze Shock's Subzero Slammer gives Kyurem-B the ability to blow through any Pokemon that doesn't resist it while doing a ton of damage even to and deal a ton of damage to most Pokemon that do. Freeze Shock itself should only be used with Subzero Slammer in most cases and it should only be used outside of the Z-Move if behind a Substitute and after Subzero Slammer and if the Z-Move has been used up. Fusion Bolt hits Water-types that resist Subzero Slammer like Toxapex, Tapu Fini, Manaphy, and Slowbro. It's also a good miground move to make since it can hit most Steel-types, Rotom-W, and many other Pokemon that don't resist it quite hard. This is especially true if Electric Terrain is up. Its good power and neutral coverage make it a generally safe choice, especially in Electric Terrain. Ice Beam makes Kyurem-B able to handle Ice-weak Pokemon like Landorus-T, Gliscor, Zapdos, and Tangrowth without having to burn or after burning its Z-Move. It also comes in handy when Subzero Slammer has been used up and acts as a more consistent STAB in general. Earth Power hits Rotom-W and Steel-types such as Heatran and Jirachi that are able to come in on Subzero Slammer while also nailing Rotom-W thanks to Terravolt. Make sure to not reveal you're running Earth Power too early in the game though, as you want to hit them with it as they come in not expecting it. (it's the first slash and pretty well known coverage, is it very realistic?) Substitute lets Kyurem-B punish switches, (comma) lessen prediction, and block while also making it less prediction reliant thanks to the added safety. It protects Kyurem-B from status moves from Pokemon like Toxapex, Rotom-W, Gliscor, Zapdos, and Tangrowth. It should be used when predicting a switch, status move, or if facing a Pokemon that doesn't do much damage to Kyurem-B against passive Pokemon. (switches and status already covered by last sentence) Roost can be used in the last slot on Icium Z sets or the Freeze Shock slot if using Electrium Z to give Kyurem-B long-term sustain sustainability against bulkier teams, which lets it wallbreak more over time. Kyurem-B can also pivot into resisted or weak attacks like Ash-Greninja's Hydro Pump or and Heatran's Earth Power. (in general or with roost only? if the former, doesn't belong here) Naive is used over Hasty to take hits from Pokemon like Landorus-T and Kartana better. However, Hasty can be used if you're well covered against those threats and prefer to take hits from Ash-Greninja pre-transformation, Reuniclus lacking Focus Blast, and Mega Latias better. Icium Z is run to give Kyurem-B a reliable physical Ice-type STAB attack that can OHKO almost anything that doesn't resist it in one shot while even doing a ton of damage to Pokemon that resist it, giving Kyurem-B offensive value in every game. Electrium Z can be used over Icium Z to power up Fusion Bolt instead as STAB Ice Beam prevents Ground-types from switching in easily and it lets Kyurem-B do a ton of damage to the Steel-tyes typically used to absorb Subzero Slammer and even OHKOs Celesteela. If this is used, Kyurem-B should drop replace Freeze Shock and replace it with Earth Power or Roost.

At the start of the game, see what Pokemon Kyurem-B is able to break through, (comma) and what Pokemon it should aim to hit hard with Subzero Slammer or Gigavolt Havoc, (comma) and if entry hazards are necessary to achieve any really important KOs. The Z-Move should only be used if you're confident it will make steady progress as you only get one shot to fire it off so it should be used carefully. Get Kyurem-B in on Pokemon that can't do too much much to it like Toxapex lacking Toxic, Tangrowth, Gliscor, Zapdos, and Reuniclus lacking Focus Blast. It's most ideal to get it in on these types of Pokemon as they use a recovery move.

Team Options
========
Tapu Fini is a great teammate as Kyurem-B likes protection from status with Misty Terrain, which gives it more opportunities to pivot in while clearing entry hazards with Defog and threatening protects Kyurem-B from status with Misty Terrain, clears Stealth Rock with Defog, and threatens Heatran with Scald if Kyurem-B lacks Earth Power or and Ferrothorn and Mega Scizor with Nature's Madness if lacking Hidden Power Fire. Kyurem-B meanwhile destroys Grass-types and Rotom-W for Tapu Fini while also beating Gliscor and Heatran if running Earth Power, which frees Tapu Fini up to run Nature's Madness instead of a Water move over Scald. Hazard control methods like Tapu Fini, Rotom-W, Tornadus-T, and Gliscor are able to keep off entry hazards for Kyurem-B important for an Ice-type. Pokemon that appreciate Kyurem-B's wallbreaking while being good against faster offensive teams like Mega Alakazam, Choice Scarf Kartana, and Mega Lopunny work well with Kyurem-B as Kyurem-B can nuke a bulky target with its Z-Move so these Pokemon are able to more flexibly batter the opponent. Mega Alakazam, Choice Scarf Kartana, and Mega Lopunny appreciate Kyurem-B hitting a bulky foe with its Z-Move and are good against faster offensive teams. Spikes support can wear down Pokemon into KO range of Kyurem-B's attacks while and Kyurem-B threatens Pokemon immune to Spikes like Gliscor and Rotom-W with its coverage. This support works especially well with Electrium Z sets since because the Pokemon can take Gigavolt Havoc are very vulnerable to Spikes. Both Greninja forms and Ferrothorn can provide this support. Steel-types like Jirachi, Mega Scizor, Magearna, Ferrothorn, and Heatran can switch into Rock- and Fairy-types that threaten Kyurem-B immensely such as Tapu Lele, Tyranitar, and Clefable. Heatran, in particular, is a particularly great partner as because it can handle Mega Scizor and Ferrothorn while providing Stealth Rock support. In return, Kyurem-B wears down or takes out Tapu Fini, Gliscor, Mega Latias, and Mega Latios for Heatran. Meanwhile, they All Steel-types appreciate Kyurem-B scaring out Ground- and Water-types.

Set Description
========
Fusion Bolt hits Water-types that resist Subzero Slammer like Toxapex, Tapu Fini, Manaphy, and Slowbro. It's also a good miground move to make since it can hit most Steel-types, Rotom-W, and many other Pokemon quite hard. This is especially true if Electric Terrain is up. Its good power and neutral coverage make it a generally safe choice, especially in Electric Terrain. Roost keeps Kyurem-B healthy and able to wallbreak despite Life Orb recoil and entry hazard damage, which makes it able to more easily wallbreak throughout the game. It also means Kyurem-B can pivot switch into resisted or weak attacks like Ash-Greninja's Hydro Pump or and Heatran's Earth Power. However, Hasty can be used if you're well covered against those threats and prefer to take hits from Ash-Greninja pre-transformation, Reuniclus lacking Focus Blast, and Mega Latias better.

Attempt to do as much damage as possible throughout the game to break holes in the opposing team so Kyurem-B's faster teammates can clean through. As a result, prediction is key Prediction is key, as many Pokemon coming into it can take one of its moves but not the other. This is especially true early in the game as the opponent will play differently before knowing Kyurem-B is Life Orb as they will be more likely to expect the Z-Move set. (this isn't useful without elaboration) If Kyurem-B is running Hidden Power Fire, be sure to not give away the fact you have it early on as the Mega Scizor or Ferrothorn user is likely to scout for the move early-on. Mega Scizor and Ferrothorn will likely scout for Hidden Power Fire, so don't reveal it immediately. The same is true with for Heatran and Rotom-W with Earth Power. Only attempt to use Roost on forced switches or status-reliant Pokemon if in Misty Terrain. Keeping Kyurem-B healthy in the long-term is especially important against bulkier teams or even and teams with offensive threats Kyurem-B can defensively handle somewhat reliably like Serperior or and Gigavolt Havoc Rotom-W.

Team Options
========
Hazard control methods like Tapu Fini, Rotom-W, Tornadus-T, and Gliscor are able to keep off entry hazards for Kyurem-B important for an Ice-type with Life Orb. This is even more important for this set due to it losing HP every time it attacks, so it wants to come in healthy, moreso than even the Z-move set. VoltTurn users like Landorus-T, Tornadus-T, Mega Scizor, Magearna, Rotom-W, and Tapu Koko are able to pivot Kyurem-B into slower Pokemon safely. Tapu Koko, in particular, brings Electric Terrain to boost Fusion Bolt's power. Spikes support can wear down Pokemon into KO range of Kyurem-B's attacks, which is especially important considering Kyurem-B is taking Life Orb recoil every time it attacks so it doesn't want to have to attack as many times to get KOs on top of the fact it doesn't have the same absurdly powerful one-time nuke as the Z-move set does wants to minimize recoil and lacks a Z-Move nuke. The Greninja forms and Ferrothorn are the best partners to provide this support. Other wallbreakers, including Mega Mawile, Choice Band Kartana, and Mega Medicham, (comma) are able to team up with Kyurem-B to suffocate fatter teams and make it very difficult for them to function. This is important for this set due to the fact it can't click a Z-move to take out almost anything in front of it, so having other partners able to wallbreak with it takes pressure off of Kyurem-B to predict correctly every time it attacks. Life Orb Kyurem-B isn't as reliable alone as its Z-Move set, so another wallbreaker relieves pressure. Pokemon that Shift Gear Magearna, Choice Scarf Tapu Lele, and Mega Lopunny appreciate Life Orb Kyurem-B's ability to more comfortably wear things down in the longer-term compared to the Z-move set (advantages like this should be explained from the start) while still being long-term and are good against faster offensive teams like Shift Gear Magearna, Choice Scarf Tapu Lele, and Mega Lopunny work well with Kyurem-B. Steel-types like Jirachi, Mega Scizor, defensive Magearna, and Heatran can switch into Rock- and Fairy-types that threaten Kyurem-B immensely such as Tapu Lele, Tyranitar, and Clefable. Heatran, in particular, is a particularly great partner as because it can handle Mega Scizor and Ferrothorn while providing Stealth Rock support. Due to this set lacking a Z-Move, other Z-Move users such as Shift Gear Magearna, Swords Dance Kartana, and Tapu Koko work well with this set as it can bluff the Subzero Slammer set early in the game so the Z-Move is more unexpected from the other Pokemon can be run and make the Z-Move harder to predict.

=============
A Substitute + Hone Claws with Freeze Shock and Fusion Bolt could work in theory to absolutely demolish opposing theoretically demolishes balance and stall teams thanks to Terravolt negating Unaware while punishing switches very effectively in general. This set would runs 52 HP EVs to let its Substitute have 101 HP so one Seismic Toss doesn't immediately break it. However, the low PP of the attacking moves on this set along with set's attacks and its inability to do meaningful damage to some Steel-types that can break its Substitute like Mega Scizor and Jirachi make this set it inconsistent and typically inferior to the standard Z-Freeze Shock set with Substitute.

Checks and Counters
===================
**Steel-types**: Defensive Magearna and Jirachi are able to very effectively handle the majority of Kyurem-B sets, (comma) while Mega Scizor and Ferrothorn can pivot switch into sets lacking Hidden Power Fire and heal the damage, (comma) off via Roost and Leech Seed respectively and Heatran can switch into sets lacking Earth Power relatively well. Mega Mawile is also able to take one hit from full health except for Gigavolt Havoc in Electric Terrain and OHKO Kyurem-B. However, many of these Pokemon Steel-types lack recovery and aren't hard to wear down into KO range, (comma) of Kyurem-B's attacks so they aren't very good long-term checks regardless of what coverage Kyurem-B runs to hit Steel-types Kyurem-B's coverage.

**Faster Pokemon**: Faster offensive Pokemon like Mega Alakazam, Mega Lopunny, Victini, Mega Diancie, Tapu Lele, Mega Medicham, Z-Move Garchomp, Choice Specs Tapu Koko, and Kartana all force Kyurem-B out with their strong attacks and higher Speed but they can't typically switch into Kyurem-B typically cannot switch in safely.

**Entry Hazards and Residual Damage**: Entry hazards, mainly Stealth Rock, are a massive issue for Kyurem-B as they make it Kyurem-B very easy to wear it down and minimize the benefits of its good bulk. This issue of being worn down quick is furthered by potential Life Orb recoil and other forms of residual damage. Kyurem-B is also quite vulnerable to status in general when Misty Terrain or Substitute isn't up or it isn't behind a Substitute, which makes it much easier to pivot around and offensively pressure.

GP 1/2

========

========

========

========

A Substitute + Hone Claws with Freeze Shock and Fusion Bolt could work in theory to absolutely demolish opposing theoretically demolishes balance and stall teams thanks to Terravolt negating Unaware while punishing switches very effectively in general.
