[SET]
Wallbreaker (Koraidon) @ Life Orb / Clear Amulet
Ability: Orichalcum Pulse
Tera Type: Fire
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Low Kick / Close Combat
- Flare Blitz
- Swords Dance
- Wild Charge / Outrage
[SET COMMENTS]
This set allows Koraidon to function as a devastating wallbreaker without being limited by Scale Shot's inherent luck or Choice Band. Wild Charge blasts through Ho-Oh with ease after a Swords Dance and does massive damage to Alomomola. Since both of these targets are lightweight, Wild Charge synergizes quite well with Low Kick. Outrage has the same base power as a super-effective Wild Charge, and comes with the upside of no recoil damage, though being locked into Outrage can be a huge drawback. Notably, Outrage is Koraidon's only way to deal with Skeledirge, which otherwise hard walls this set. While Life Orb provides immense power, it has clear downsides in wearing down Koraidon extremely quickly in combination with Flare Blitz, Wild Charge, and Rocky Helmet recoil; as a result, Clear Amulet is a viable option that provides safety against the common Landorus-T's Intimidate.
This Koraidon aims to blast holes in the opposing team and doesn't plan on staying around for long. Since it lacks a way to boost its Speed, this Koraidon functions well on offensive teams where this set can ease the matchup against balance and stall. Sticky Webs pairs noticeably well with this set as it patches up the speed issue and lets Koraidon not have to worry about being revenge killed by Zacian-C and Choice Scarf Kyogre. This set works nicely with any physically offensive attackers that appreciate Koraidon weakening the opposing team's walls; Zacian-C, Arceus-Ground, Extremekiller Arceus, Necrozma-DM, Calyrex-I, and Kingambit come to mind.
