Klefki @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Prankster
EVs: 236 HP / 136 Def / 136 Spe
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Dazzling Gleam
- Spikes
- Thunder Wave
- Magnet Rise
Klefki has seen increased usage over the last few months, becoming a key Spikes setter for offensive teams. Its fantastic defensive typing leaves it with only two weaknesses: Fire and Ground, the latter of which can be temporarily removed with Magnet Rise. This stops threatening foes like Flygon, Gastrodon, and Nidoqueen in their tracks and allows Klefki to set additional layers of Spikes. Thunder Wave support can prove indispensable for offensive teammates such as Lucario and Mimikyu and also deters entry hazard removers like Crobat and Noivern from staying in to remove Klefki's Spikes, while Rocky Helmet dissuades them from using U-turn. Wallbreakers such as Heracross, Celebi, and Toxtricity take advantage of the offensive support Klefki provides. Water-types such as Milotic and Suicune can help cover Klefki's remaining Fire weakness.
