Hello, today I will introduce you to the team that propelled me into the ladder, first I’m going to show you the poke past of the team, then I’ll show many replays and finally I’m going to write explanations for each Pokémon. I’m not really good in explanations and I don t speak English very well, sorry if the explanations are not always clear !

explanations :
This team was created for the OU format in 9G: This team revolves around Scalpereur who will be a very good sweeper / cleaner with his talent, he is accompanied by a Great Tusk SR, a Gigansel invested in SpD, a motisma scarf to keep speed control, a gholdengo covert cloak to come serenely on the salt mountain and finally an iron Valiant wall breaker Special.
The team has a lot of trouble facing a boosted Roaring Moon and Volcarona but it is not impossible to defeat him by using the tera (from Kingambit) at the right time and try a combo Kowtow Cleave - Sucker Punch. Pokeaim which presents a lot of wacky set, some fights are sometimes complicated to play (like special Pawmot ). We have a very complicated MU against Sun to defeat Walking Wake but not impossible to defeat.
The gigansel tera is indispensable in this kind of case and predicting which attacks it is about to use is essential to choose a switch in such as iron Valiant if you think it is about to use draco-meteor or gigansel to cover the rest.
Now let’s talk about the Pokémons :
Kingambit :
The star of the team Kingambit will be our cleaner or sweeper with his access to sword danse, sucker punch is essential for a slow Pokémon like this, his supreme overlord talent allows him to increase his power according to dead allies and can do great damage as a last resort, the leftovers allow him to come serenely on Toxapex but can be replaced by the dark glasses that will boost his dark attacks.
Concerning the spread, 160 EVs in speed allow it to outspeed most of the skeledirge and corviknight (with 31 IV in speed) of the meta but you can play this set without investment in speed since these 2 Pokémon have enough to scare us with skeledirge tera fairy who will resist one of our attacks and will will o wisp. 96 in HP to have a minimum of bulk and the rest in attack.
Great Tusk :
This Pokémon will be indispensable for the team, indeed, its good defensive stats allow it to ensure a certain longevity on the field although there is no way to heal itself, which is why it will be accompanied by leftovers to allow it to stay on the field against defensive Pokémon such as Garganacl or Clodsire.
The tera water is a very good defensive type but it will not be used often because it will become vulnerable to Gigansel and this will not prevent it from dying in front of iron guard or iron moth. However, he can better manage Baxcalibur but we prefer the tera of Kingambit or Gholdengo.
Garganacl :
Our main wall, I played here the Curse set but personally I prefer the IronPress set, it's up to you (now I converted to the Curse set). His purifying salt talent immunizes him to statue alterations and divides by 2 the ghost attacks. The leftovers restore it HP every turn and so this Pokémon becomes very strong against the defensive Pokémon. It was max in HP and SpD
Iron Valiant :
Our main wall breaker, with his good special attack coupled with choice specs, he does very big damage to almost all the offensive Pokémon of the tier and some defensive Pokémon.
MoonBlast is its main STAB that does great damage to just about the entire meta that have no resistance to it. trick would give his glasses of choice to defensive Pokémon such as Gigansel. Thunderbolt affects most of the Water and Flying Pokémon such as Corviknight or Toxapex and finally Psy Shock allows him to touch Poison Pokémon like ammonguss or clodsire which will be his main counters but he can be replaced by Shadow Ball to touch Gholdengo.
Rotom-Wash :
Rotom-Wash will bring speed control to our team because we do not outspeed the physical breakers like roaring-moon, Cinderace or Meowscarada, Greninja can be a threat to the team if it is scarf but if we still have Pokémon not too weakened it can still pass.
Gholdengo :
With his bulk in Defense, he will resist a PyroBall from Cinderace for sure unless the hax turns it into a crit. He will come quite serenely on Garganacl with the CovertCloak even if earthquake would be annoying (the set is not yet popular enough).
His speed allows him to outspeed most of the defensive Great Tusk who would not try to put 227 in speed just to outspeed the smart guys who would like to outspeed us. The SpA allows it to be not too passive.
It is also an anti-spinner with its Good As Gold talent that immunizes it to the ability of status such as Defog and its excellent double type immunizes it to both mortal spin and rapid spin.
