Kangaskhan is one of the most threatening and powerful Pokemon in the tier. Its strong STAB Body Slam and Hyper, decent Speed, and versatile coverage moves in Earthquake and Rock Slide let it go one-on-one with nearly every Pokemon in the tier. This, complimented by its good physical bulk that allows it to tank a Dugtrio Earthquake, allows Kangaskhan to be extremely easy to fit on teams

Counter can be used over Rock Slide as it allows Kangaskhan to catch Dodrio and opoosing Kangaskhan off guard and hit them for massive damage, with a countered Body Slam doing 71% minimum to Dodrio and 50% minimum to opposing Kangaskhan respectively. However, dropping Rock Slide severly compromises Kangaskhan's Articuno matchup. Surf can be used over Rock Slide or Earthquake as it 2HKOes Golem, however, it does pitiful damage to everything else and dropping a coverage move compromises Kangaskhan's other matchups, such as Haunter and Omastar for Earthquake and Articuno for Rock Slide.
