Kalos Only OU

Hey, I just had the amazing idea to make a team using only the new generation of pokemon (not so amazing after all). Any help would be appreciated

Please read the RMT rules before posting. Or look at the "Best of RMT" to see examples of what these should look like (at the very least have importable code). This will probably get modded but I'll give you a quick analysis with the information you've provided. Playtesting is also actively encouraged with this sort of thing, I would recommend the Mentorship Program or some more research if you still are having a hard time choosing items for your team.

Greninja looks like a good standard build, might consider using U-Turn over Grass Knot for momentum but both are very feasible options. Using a Modest nature on him may not be a bad idea either, the only unbolted threats that beat him will continue to beat him with either nature and you're not speed creeping anything.

As for Talonflame.... his best build really is the suicide bird. I'd run him with Life Orb and Brave Bird. You can scare out a lot of threats just by switching in and get a free Roost/U-Turn, I would also move the 4 EVs over to Special Defense on that build. Not much of a difference, but it's something.

Sylveon doesn't make a whole lot of sense with 252 invested in Speed (hoping you meant "SpD" for Special Defense?) But other than that looks fine. You might consider dropping Light Screen and running Protect to secure Wish heals for yourself.

Furfrou would benefit most from Rocky Helmet or Leftovers. With the right prediction, you can switch in and scare out physical sweepers every time with a nice chunk of health in return. TWave on the special attacker who trie to switch in on you, then U-Turn off to somebody else.

On Goodra, Ice Beam doesn't make a whole lot of sense unless you're worried specifically about a physical dragon switching into you (which they usually won't fearing a Draco Meteor). Thunderbolt is a much better fit to catch popular physical attackers for neutral damage.

As for Aegislash. I'd go through the "Sixth Gen Contributions" forum and read through the list of different builds available for him. He works better as a mixed sweeper than a purely physical one and your team could definitely benefit from have a mixed sweeper. He absolutely does not need investment in Defense unless you plan on leaving yourself in Blade Form when being attacked. HP is the only thing he truly "needs" investment in, everything else is pretty wide open. Good rule of thumb when EVing defense is to aim for the lower stat (like you did with Furfrou) unless you're trying to wall very specific threats. Base 150 Defense is fantastic on its own and doesn't need much, if any, extra help from EVs. Balloon and Lum Berry and equally viable options on him, but I still defer my item recommendations to his official thread. Find a build for him you like and give it a try, he has more potential builds than anything else from this generation.

In general, your team has a pretty good balance, Two Special Walls, One Physical Wall, One Special Sweeper, One Physical Sweeper, and (hopefully) some sort of Mixed Sweeper in Aegislash. However, with Talonflame's weakness to Stealth Rocks you really need a way to keep them off your side of the field and ideally a way to set them up on your own. Your team looks good in the very basic definition of synergy but there isn't really a strategy that ties them together which could be problematic. Once you fill in more info I'll look into some better recommendations based on what your goals with the team are.

Thanks for the help :)

So, to be honest, with each pokemon they have a generic kind of strategy with them but I though they strung well together as an outfit (I'm not very good at making teams).

Here is the importable team, I've made a few fixes to it although it's still far from complete. I have taken into account the fact I should include a way to clear entry hazards and a way to set them up for myself, the only Kalos only way I can see to get rid of the hazards is Avalugg's rapid spin (although I'm probably missing something). As for setting up, I've considered Carbink and possibly Tyrantrum. I will put the possibilities of these after the team so I can get your feedback on what can be improved on those.

Adamant Nature
- Brave Bird

- U-turn

Greninja @ Expert Belt
Ability: Protean
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 SAtk / 4 HP

-------------------------------------------------------------------

Possible Carbink (Would replace Furfrou)

Carbink @ Light Clay
Ability: Clear Body

Impish Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Explosion

Possible Tyrantrum (Would replace ???)

Tyrantrum @ Shell Bell
Ability: Strong Jaw
EVs: 252 Atk / 100 Def / 156 Spd
Adamant Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Stone Edge
- Dragon Claw
- Ice Fang

Tyrantrum is a nope, he's just not strong enough to work in this meta. Carbink is a maybe, but I feel like getting rid of hazards is more important than setting them up for this team.

Ice type is normally terrible (especially in this meta) but you might try an Avalugg like this and see what happens... Probably have him replace Furfrou.

Avalugg @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 Atk
Relaxed Nature
- Rapid Spin
- Recover
- Roar
- Earthquake

His attack is just high enough that he could put some serious pressure on Fire/Steel types switching in with Earthquake, and he takes hits incredibly well thanks to his 95 / 184 stats. Didn't both investing in SpDef because at 46.... he's not gonna survive any of the powerful special attackers in this meta, only sturdy will save him then. Basic idea is switch into physical attacker, Earthquake if predicting a switch into Fire/Steel/Rock or Roar if predicting a switch into Fighting, plus after Roar sometimes you'll get a free Recover to take advantage of Sturdy again or a chance to use Rapid Spin.

You'll have to play very carefully with him due to his typing but he may be able to force switches in the right situation.

Disclaimer: I have no idea if this build will actually work. Just doing head games to see if it would work out... and it might.

Also, after watching you play with the team, it actually has a very good balanced feel to it. A few tweaks here and there and it could be a great team (albeit limited, thanks Kalos). When using Furfrou, you only ever need to Cotton Guard once unless you're expecting to take hits from Mega Mawile or a Fighting type, use that situation to setup a status (which you may consider using Toxic over TWave/Return).

Here's a new aegislash build I just stumbled upon in the "Don't Use That, Use This" discussion, could give him some great potency on your team.

Aegislash @ Weakness Policy
Ability: Stance Change
EVs: 252 HP (Or 252 Atk) / 252 SpA / 4 SpD
Quiet Nature
- Shadow Ball
- Shadow Sneak
- Sacred Sword / Flash Cannon
- King's Shield
