SV OU Just my interpretation of what a sun team is

Hi, no basckstory here, straight to the point

:Sv/torkoal:
Torkoal @ Heat Rock
Ability: Drought
Tera Type: Grass
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SpD
Relaxed Nature
IVs: 9 Spe
- Lava Plume
- Stealth Rock
- Yawn
- Rapid Spin

This set is pretty standard, but it is crazy. He can tank super effective physical hits, yawn setup sweepers, spin rocks away which takes some people by surprise for some reason and even set his own rocks up. Overheat over lava plume is a good alternative, but I prefer the burns

:Sv/walking_wake:
Walking Wake @ Choice Specs
Ability: Protosynthesis
Tera Type: Water
EVs: 12 HP / 244 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Hydro Steam
- Flamethrower
- Draco Meteor
- Dragon Pulse

The main guy. Tera water hydro steam under the sun is truly terrifying even against resist or common tera water defensive pokemon like gliscor or glowking. I almost always use tera right away because it tears through everything... with the exception of water absorb pokemon and blissey. Clod and blissey are really the only 2 pokemon that wall all 4 moves of this beast an thus, the only real safe switch ins. I always try to keep walking wake healthy over the rest unless one of those 2 pokemon is present in the endgame, in which case you can sacrifice him

:sv/lilligant_hisui:
Lilligant-Hisui (F) @ Focus Sash
Ability: Chlorophyll
Tera Type: Grass
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Swords Dance
- Solar Blade
- Close Combat
- Ice Spinner

Chlorophyll abuser of the team. I use her to take some early game KO or to kill mons that have set up. Focus sash is such a clutch item in this mon, it lets you SD safely in most scenarios and before you notice, you have a crazy +2 spe +2 atk mon at your service. It will be revenge killed if there's a priority user but that's ok, her job was already done

:Sv/ceruledge:
Ceruledge @ Focus Sash
Ability: Weak Armor
Tera Type: Grass
EVs: 64 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 188 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Bitter Blade
- Solar Blade
- Shadow Sneak

This guy plays a very similar role to lilligant and is the one I have more doubts about, but I like the priority of shadow sneak and the surprise factor of solar blade. Focus sash lets you use swords dance against a physical attacker to be +2 in spe and atk and also deals with kingambit. The IV spread makes him faster than booster energy valiant and roaring moon with the weak armor speed

:sv/great_tusk:
Great Tusk @ Assault Vest
Ability: Protosynthesis
Tera Type: Water
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 248 SpD / 4 Spe
Careful Nature
- Earthquake
- Body Press
- Ice Spinner
- Rapid Spin

So, this is a crazy set for this guy but i love it. 434 hp, 389 def, 336 spdef, this tusk tanks any special water type move under the sun, energy balls from moth, grass knots from greninja, hurricanes from zapdos, moonblasts from valiant, and he doesn't disappoint from the physical side either. His job is to spin your problems away and he always will

:Sv/hatterene:
Hatterene (F) @ Eject Button
Ability: Magic Bounce
Tera Type: Steel
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
- Nuzzle
- Dazzling Gleam
- Psychic
- Healing Wish

This will almost always be your first mon to die. I lead with torkoal and switch into hatterene 90% of times to bring wake or lilligant. After that, her job is done and any nuzzle or healing wish she can perform is welcome surplus value, but she can be sacrificed without remorse

Thanks for posting! This team seems pretty solid, so we are just going to making minor tweaks.

Changes:

Give :great-tusk: a speed boosting set. It will now serve as bulky + fast support. 252 Hp and 252 speed and a jolly nature gives Tusk as speed boost in the sun. Ice Spinner to hit dragons as well as :gliscor:, Earthquake for stab, Knock Off for item removal and Rapid Spin for hazard removal. Tera Water helps with the rain matchup. This set just gives more speed control for your slower team.

Great Tusk @ Leftovers
Ability: Protosynthesis
Tera Type: Water
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Ice Spinner
- Earthquake
- Knock Off
- Rapid Spin

Make :walking-wake: SpA booster instead of Speed. You already have good speed control in Chlorophyll and :Great Tusk: speed boost, you want to do more damage to weaken things for the other members of the team. I just swapped the evs + tera. Tera fairy is better for the :walking-wake: mirror matchup as well as making :kingambit: have a harder time revenging you.

Walking Wake @ Choice Specs
Ability: Protosynthesis
Tera Type: Fairy
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Hydro Steam
- Flamethrower
- Draco Meteor
- Dragon Pulse

Swap the SpD evs on :hatterene: for Def evs. Most leads hit on the physical side, meaning that if you want to get momentum while not taking to much damage, Def evs are better in general.

Swap Solar Blade on :Ceruledge: for Poltergeist. You get a 110 stab boosted ghost move, this is a must. We have Solar Blade on :Lilligant-Hisui: already and Poltergeist gives much more value. Also swap to Tera ghost for boosted moves as well still being able to Spinblock.

Swap Tera water on :torkoal: for Tera flying. It ignores spikes letting you preserve Torkoal better as well as now being immune to ground type moves.

Thats all! Hope this helps. Go get em! :boi:

Nice team! I am a big fan of sun this gen. A lot of great mons and tactics to try. Your mon choices look good. Let's just clean up some of the sets.

I actually favor regular Liligant as a Chlorophyll user right now, as it makes better use of the move Weather Ball. Liligant is stronger and faster than Venusaur from previous Gens. Tera Blast Rock lets you get past Moltres, Cinderace, Iron Moth, and Dragonite (4 mons sun struggles with), as well as protecting you from Extremespeed.

Lilligant @ Life Orb
Ability: Chlorophyll
Tera Type: Rock
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Giga Drain
- Weather Ball
- Tera Blast
- Growth

Ceruledge is a great choice on sun! I recommend changing to Flash Fire, Life Orb, and an Adamant nature. Flash Fire lets you wall Iron Moth and HJK/Gunk Shot Cinderace and has great synergy with Tera Grass. Life Orb adds more juice to your attacks and the recoil is mitigated by Bitter Blade's power output. You can go max bulk or max speed. I found max bulk to better since nothing really sits in the 200s that don't either beat or sit on with your Tera. This set is especially cruel to stall and fatter teams. Damage calculations are show below

Ceruledge @ Life Orb
Ability: Flash Fire
Tera Type: Grass
EVs: 232 HP / 252 Atk / 24 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Bitter Blade
- Solar Blade
- Shadow Sneak
- Swords Dance

+2 252+ Atk Life Orb Tera Grass Ceruledge Solar Blade vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Protosynthesis Great Tusk: 517-611 (119.1 - 140.7%) -- guaranteed OHKO
+2 252+ Atk Life Orb Tera Grass Ceruledge Solar Blade vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Toxapex: 302-356 (99.3 - 117.1%) -- 93.8% chance to OHKO
+2 252+ Atk Life Orb Tera Grass Ceruledge Bitter Blade vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Clefable in Sun: 538-633 (136.5 - 160.6%) -- guaranteed OHKO
+2 252+ Atk Life Orb Tera Grass Ceruledge Solar Blade vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Unaware Dondozo: 374-439 (74.2 - 87.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
+2 252+ Atk Life Orb Tera Grass Ceruledge Solar Blade vs. 252 HP / 4 Def Unaware Dondozo: 502-593 (99.6 - 117.6%) -- 93.8% chance to OHKO
+2 252+ Atk Life Orb Ceruledge Shadow Sneak vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Gholdengo: 377-447 (119.6 - 141.9%) -- guaranteed OHKO
+2 252+ Atk Life Orb Tera Grass Ceruledge Shadow Sneak vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Dragapult: 463-546 (146 - 172.2%) -- guaranteed OHKO

For Great Tusk, I recommend a fast Bulk Up Set. Tusk is an amazing wall and spinner on sun. This set will beat Dragonite and win a lot of games for you in the late game. The EV spread will boost Defense in the sun, turning you into a sturdy physical wall. Tera Steel will protect you from Gliscor's Toxic and random Moonblasts. Tera Water is an option too for the rain matchup.

Great Tusk @ Leftovers
Ability: Protosynthesis
Tera Type: Steel
EVs: 244 HP / 12 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Earthquake
- Ice Spinner
- Rapid Spin
- Bulk Up

I agree with the post above regarding Torkoal and Walking Wake. Definitely make Walking Wake +SpA. With Chlorophyll and priority, your team has good speed control.
