SV OU its balancing hammer time! (tinkaton meowscarada core)

So i tried make sure my old team type of team but i think most things i lack either actual OU pokemons or my setup is too much same type. I've been trying find a bit differend from meta and wanting to re-create similar teams to ones i used when i played still OU and used balanced team types!

  1. Tinkaton (F) @ Life Orb
  2. Ability: Mold Breaker
  3. Tera Type: Fairy
  4. EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
  5. Jolly Nature
  6. - Gigaton Hammer
  7. - Swords Dance
  8. - Play Rough
  9. - Knock Off

Tinkaton is type of pokemon what mawile/mega mawile was back in the X and Y, which gave me kinda abit nostalgic feeling when i used to play competitively with nintendo DS tho difference is that Tinkaton has very good speed and decent attack stat (which surprised me abit not going to lie) so having tinkaton as my main physical sweeper, it has surprise factor but even if i wouldnt have that, this pokemon is very good OHKO many pokemons that are either neutral or super effective in itself.

Life orb gives also nice little boost for tinkaton's attacks so this little gal really hits hard even against bulkier pokemons.

  10. Dachsbun @ Leftovers
  11. Ability: Well-Baked Body
  12. Tera Type: Fairy
  13. EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Def
  14. Impish Nature
  15. - Play Rough
  16. - Wish
  17. - Protect
  18. - Body Press

Dashbun is my physical tank,(i might change teratype to something else like fighting togive body press a stab), thanks to well-baked body, i can use this doggo to take fire attacks which my meowscarada, froslass and tinkaton are weak to, making it for fire type pokemons a bit harder to hit my team, and pokemon is surprisingly physically tanky.

  19. Meowscarada @ Choice Band
  20. Ability: Protean
  21. Tera Type: Grass
  22. EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
  23. Jolly Nature
  24. - Flower Trick
  25. - U-turn
  26. - Knock Off
  27. - Trick

Protean wth u-turn, knock off and flower trick makes her pretty nice. Using band boost and trick with it, could lock away some of pokemons opponent have like special attackers or substitute setups which would mess with some stall strategies aswell.

  28. Sylveon @ Leftovers
  29. Ability: Pixilate
  30. Tera Type: Fairy
  31. EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 SpD
  32. Calm Nature
  33. IVs: 0 Atk
  34. - Hyper Voice
  35. - Wish
  36. - Protect
  37. - Psyshock

I always love sylveon and try adjust it inside my team at any point time as being very specially defensive bulky pokemon hyper voice and psyshock being always good two use on it while wish protect to keep herself or team healthy.

  38. Walking Wake @ Choice Specs
  39. Ability: Protosynthesis
  40. Tera Type: Water
  41. EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
  42. Timid Nature
  43. IVs: 0 Atk
  44. - Hydro Steam
  45. - Hydro Pump
  46. - Flamethrower
  47. - Draco Meteor

Very fast and strong pokemon, specs giving it a huge boost for special attacks and having decent speed, it can be destructive. Ofcourse if i used torkoal with it for sunny day boost, it would be even more stronger, but opponents might also use sunny day team or even rain team which would make this dragon a beast in both weathers! Might replace hydro pump with hurricane for rainy teams.

  48. Froslass (F) @ Heavy-Duty Boots
  49. Ability: Cursed Body
  50. Tera Type: Ice
  51. EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
  52. Timid Nature
  53. IVs: 0 Atk
  54. - Ice Beam
  55. - Shadow Ball
  56. - Destiny Bond
  57. - Spikes
Suicide spiker basically, but also having decent speed and SPA, froslass can be surprisingly strong sweeper at worst case scenarios. Destiny bond can be also to buy some time for adding spikes in especially if opponent decides to do dragon dance or speed boosting setup so i can get 2 spikes easily but also ice beam deals with most DD setups.

alternative changes for the team been thinking:

Spinner with giving sunny day for walking wake boosts:

Torkoal @ Leftovers
Ability: Drought
Tera Type: Fire
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpA / 4 SpD
Modest Nature
- Lava Plume
- Rapid Spin
- Stealth Rock
- Solar Beam

or something more interesting that would take atleast some fighting type attacks on itself:

Zoroark-Hisui @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Illusion
Tera Type: Normal
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Bitter Malice
- Hyper Voice
- Focus Blast
- Nasty Plot

maybe better special defence pokemon to replace sylveon

Clodsire @ Leftovers
Ability: Unaware
Tera Type: Grass
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 SpD
Careful Nature
- Gunk Shot
- Spikes
- Recover
- Earthquake

test results that i've been going through with team:

Tinkaton's speed and attack, i've managed mostly to get sword dance out and made quite dent on enemy team. hits surprisingly hard with LO boost even without SD on many pokemons especially with neutral damage, not to mention there is ways use teratype with her to help survive most ground type and fire type moves.

Meowscarada u-turn band hits hard and thanks to cat's speed, its very hard for other pokemons keep up and if opponent brings out substitute setuppers or swappers. Thanks to flower trick,u-turn and knock off, it wont be easy for opponent switch in just anybody in first place as i can break the substitute very effectively with magical cat.

otherwise team been serving very decently but after testing out team plenty times, it do feel like im lacking something but i cant grasp what it is, so im hoping to see if someone has ideas to improve team.

(preferably i would want keep Meowscarada and tinkaton in team but im open for suggestions!)

All of the changes you've been considering, I would make them. I would also try out this team a lot more, get a better understanding of the current OU meta, and come back in a couple of weeks with a new post once you've learned a little more. There are too many changes/ fixes that I see making on your team and I think it would be better to give it a little time and work it out on your own than for me to try and work through this team on here.

I look forward to your next post, truly :)
