[SET]
Encore + Disable (Iron Valiant) @ Booster Energy
Ability: Quark Drive
EVs: 204 HP / 248 Def / 56 Spe
Timid / Jolly Nature
- Moonblast / Low Kick
- Protect
- Disable
- Encore

[SET COMMENTS]
* Iron Valiant's main attack is very interchangeable. Moonblast is the most reliable and is usually the one that works in the most matchups like opposing Iron Valiant and Walking Wake, while Low Kick is extremely helpful in the Gouging Fire matchup and can help it break through Steel-type Pokemon like Hisuian Goodra and Registeel, though, it's scared of Counter from the former.
* The Speed EVs allow it to outspeed Gouging Fire after a Dragon Dance, with the remaining EVs going into Defense so it can bulk physical hits and fire back with its Encore + Disable setup.
* To utilize Encore + Disable effectively, you usually have to use Protect on the first turn to scout the foe's first move. If you are certain it is a Choice-locked Pokemon, you can just use Disable on the second turn and force it to use Struggle, and if it utilizes a status move, you are free to use Encore on its move and attack with your main STAB move; otherwise, it is recommended to use Encore on the second turn to take a hit, then Protect on the third turn, then Disable on the fourth turn, and, once Encore is over, you use Encore again. This ensures 2 turns of Struggle from the foe, at which point Iron Valiant should be able to KO it. On more passive Pokemon that have moves that do little damage like Registeel, and in some rare cases like Gouging Fire if you only have Moonblast, it sometimes can be better to opt out of using Protect and just use your main attack.
* Iron Valiant fits best on teams that can cover their main weakness to Steel-type Pokemon; therefore, Fire-type Pokemon like Volcarona and Gouging Fire make great teammates. In return, Iron Valiant can handle threats like Choice Specs Greninja and Choice Band Ursaluna. Iron Valiant also appreciates Pecharunt and Hisuian Goodra being extremely consistent against Fairy-types, as these can easily deal with them while it deals with Ground-type Pokemon like Great Tusk and the previously mentioned Ursaluna.

Steel-type Pokemon like Hisuian Goodra
you might just get countered or Chople Berry steel moved.

Spirit Break's Special Attack drop can also assist it in matchups like Walking Wake and Ursaluna-B.
Spectrier should probs be mentioned here because it's a major reason the set gets used.

The EV spread allows it to outspeed Gouging Fire after a Dragon Dance, with the rest going into Defense so it can bulk physical hits and fire back with its Encore + Disable setup.
You're not reliably winning this unless you're Low Kick. Maybe some alternative EV spreads would be nice here.

On more passive Pokemon that have moves that do little damage like Registeel and Iron Defense Corviknight it might be better to opt out of Protect and just use your main attack.
not exactly more passive but this can be used to 50/50 Gouging Fire while still running Moonblast because you can Encore after it uses Dragon Dance. Essentially it allows you to get an extra attack off. Also, maybe say that it's good to just Encore and chip away with your attacking move in some matchups before you Encore + Disable lock. Corviknight should not be mentioned here though, as it just wins by clicking Taunt and stalling out your moves.

Looks good but I want one more look after you change stuff cause there were a few additions that I wanted. Nice analysis so far!

EVs: Outspeeds Gouging Fire, rest in Physical Defense.
remove the line at the top.

Tera Type: Fairy
Remove this line, it shows up in smogdex iirc.

usually the one that works in the most matchups
provide examples where Moonblast is better than Low kick or Spirit Break. Walking Wake as an example for Spirit Break doesn't work too well bc it just dies to Moonblast anyway.

* The EV spread allows it to outspeed Gouging Fire after a Dragon Dance, with the rest going into Defense so it can bulk physical hits and fire back with its Encore + Disable setup.
Do you have an alt spread for Spirit Break? You don't reliably do enough damage even if you Spirit Break t1 and Encore the Dragon Dance t2, so I'd recommend finding an alternative EV spread for this set and mentioning it.

it might be better to opt out of Protect
maybe instead of might be, changing it to sometimes is or sometimes can be

1/2 after implementation.

Moonblast does the most damage
This is a bit misleading, I would word this different

Low Kick is extremely helpful in the Gouging Fire matchup and can help it break through Steel-type Pokemon like Hisuian Goodra
I think Registeel is a better example here, since it can potential use Leftovers to out heal Valiant's other moves.

and Spirit Break's Special Attack drop can also assist it in matchups like Ursaluna-B and Spectrier.
The second EV spread allows it to outspeed Choice Scarf Cresselia and live a Life Orb Spectrier Hyper Beam, with the rest going in Defense.
This doesn't actually live Spectrier, I'm making the executive decision of removing the spdef spread and Spirit Break.

Iron Valiant can handle threats like Ogerpon-W
Ogerpon can either use Encore or alternate between attacks, use another example.

while it deals with Ground-type Pokemon like Landorus-T
While on the rarer side, some non choiced Lando-Ts can have another move to hit Iron Valiant hard, I'm not sold on this mention.

I'd like to look over this one more time before giving the stamp. ~~also i will look at your rby analyses i promise~~

The main EV spread allows it to outspeed Gouging Fire after a Dragon Dance
Its the only EV spread now

you must Protect the first turn to scout their first move
Its not absolutely necessary but I'm not the biggest fan of the phrasing here, especially since you mention later that its sometimes worth it to not protect t1.
