Iron Jugulis serves as a solid wallbreaker, utilizing its solid STAB combination, coverage, and Speed tier to threaten foes. Earth Power snipes would-be checks like Heatran, Toxapex, and Mega Diancie. U-turn lets Iron Jugulis pivot into Pokemon that solve unfavorable matchups for it such as Kartana and Mega Scizor while also providing momentum for teammates like Tapu Koko and Great Tusk. Tera Flying boosts Hurricane to obscene levels while also giving it a resistance to Close Combat from the likes of Mega Lopunny and Zamazenta. Alternatively, Tera Ground gives Iron Jugulis a Stealth Rock resistance and gives it an easier time breaking through the likes of Mega Tyranitar and Clodsire. Iron Jugulis values pivots like Tapu Koko, Landorus-T, and Slowbro, as they provide it opportunities for it to come in and pressure Pokemon like Tangrowth and opposing Slowbro. Tapu Koko in particular is an astounding partner, as it enables Quark Drive for Iron Jugulis, which lets it outspeed Pokemon like Dragapult and Mega Lopunny. Slowbro also provides Future Sight to pressure Toxapex and Clodsire. Pokemon that can wear down checks to Iron Jugulis such as Assault Vest Tornadus-T and Ting-Lu with entry hazards like Landorus-T, Ferrothorn, and Heatran are appreciated. Entry hazard removers such as the aforementioned Tornadus-T and Rotom-W help compensate for Iron Jugulis's Stealth Rock weakness.
