VGC Iron Jugulis [GP 1/1]

[OVERVIEW]

* Iron Jugulis's great type combination and access to strong support moves such as Tailwind and Snarl make it a niche but powerful disruptive threat. With Booster Energy, Iron Jugulis is able to outspeed almost every other Pokemon in the format and use its great support options to apply pressure on the opponent with fast Snarls and Air Slashes. Its typing gives it an immunity to Prankster Taunt, as well as resistances to attacks from several common threats such as Rillaboom's Wood Hammer and Urshifu-S's Wicked Blow.

* Iron Jugulis is used on semi-Trick Room teams with Farigiraf and Ursaluna-B, as it forces opponents to respect both a potential Tailwind from Iron Jugulis and Trick Room from Farigiraf. Both Incineroar and Ogerpon-W are great partners for Iron Jugulis; Incineroar provides Fake Out support and weakens potential threats such as Chien-Pao with Intimidate, and Ogerpon-W provides redirection to allow Iron Jugulis to set up Tailwind more easily. Flutter Mane also forms a very strong and consistent pairing with Iron Jugulis, countering opposing Dark-types that Iron Jugulis would have trouble dealing with.

* While having a few strong resistances, Iron Jugulis's typing also means it's weak to common metagame threats such as Flutter Mane, especially the Speed Booster Energy variants, and Chien-Pao, which threaten an OHKO. Iron Jugulis also struggles against Pokemon that resist its STAB moves and can take advantage of its low damage output like Incineroar and Raging Bolt. Additionally, Iron Jugulis struggles to find a place on most teams due to it competing with Tornadus, which, unlike Iron Jugulis, has access to Prankster Tailwind, a strong Flying-type STAB move in the form of Bleakwind Storm, and Prankster Rain Dance and Sunny Day.

[SET COMMENTS]

* Snarl is helpful to slow down the plethora of strong special attackers in the format.

* Booster Energy allows Iron Jugulis to fire off fast attacks like Snarl into opposing special attackers and set up Tailwind more easily, as well as outspeed threats such as Chien-Pao.

* The bulk allows Iron Jugulis to survive a Extreme Speed from Choice Band Tera Normal Dragonite with Sword of Ruin active, as well as an Icicle Crash from a -1 Attack Chien-Pao. After a Snarl, Iron Jugulis lives a Dazzling Gleam from Choice Specs Tera Fairy Flutter Mane, as well as Thunderbolt from Raging Bolt.

* Both Tera Poison and Steel are viable, but Poison is generally preferred thanks to the Fighting resistance and generally better synergy with Iron Jugulis's original type. In comparison, Tera Steel gives more resistances to powerful moves in the format like Blood Moon and Make it Rain, but it is weak to more types than Tera Poison.

[OVERVIEW]

* Iron Jugulis's great type combination of Dark / and Flying and strong support tools moves such as Tailwind and Snarl make it a very strong off-meta threat in the current format. With the ability Quark Drive and the item booster energy, Iron Jugulis is able to outspeed almost every other Pokemon in the format and use its great support options to apply pressure on the opponent. Its Dark typing is extremely beneficial in doing so, allowing it to be immune to Prankster Taunts, giving it the ability to resist powerful Wicked Blows from Urshifu-S, and having a positive matchup into the strong Psychic-types in the format such as Farigiraf, Iron Crown, and Indeedee-F. Iron Jugulis's Flying-type also helps toward the vast amount of Grass-types in the format like Ogerpon-W, Rillaboom, Amoonguss, and Ogerpon-H (I think you can split this into 2 groups, one where you talk about good matchups at the end (Rillaboom, Ogerpon-W, Crown, etc.) and one in the beginning after you mention the type, where you can talk about how it's immune to taunt and resists wicked blows.) , as well as being immune to Ground moves from the likes of Ursaluna-Bloodmoon and Landorus-I. (I think there are better examples since both of these pokemon can still hit it for a lot of damage. If you want to keep this, talk about how it can switch in.)

* Ogerpon-W is a great partner paired with for Iron Jugulis, providing redirection to allowing Iron Jugulis to set up a Tailwind for its team. It also provides a way to redirect Spores away thanks to its Grass typing and Follow Me. Both Incineroar and Urshifu-S (I feel like Urshifu-R is a better partner since you aren't as weak to Fairy-Tera Flutter, but I could be mistaken.) are also great partners for Iron Jugulis, working well paired with it under Tailwind to either slow down or accelerate the pace of the game. Incineroar providing es strong Fake Out pressure as well as Intimidate support to deter would be checks like Chien-Pao or a Terastallized Ogerpon. Urshifu-S benefits from Iron Jugulis's Tailwind support, allowing it fire off powerful Wicked Blows to deal with threats such as Dondozo or Raging Bolt.

* Iron Jugulis also pairs well with the combination of Farigiraf and Ursaluna-Bloodmoon, giving a fast Tailwind mode for the team and working as a strong lead paired with Farigiraf to mix the game up what game mode the team wants to function around for a given matchup. Flutter Mane is also a very strong and consistent pairing with Iron Jugulis, countering opposing Dark-types that Iron Jugulis would have trouble dealing with. (Add this to the paragraph above where you talk about other partners.)

* Iron Jugulis typically struggles against Pokemon that can OHKO it if it doesn't Terayou can't invest a Terastallization such as Flutter Mane, Raging Bolt, Chien-Pao, and Glimmora. It also struggles against bulky Pokemon that resist Iron Jugulis's STAB moves and take advantage of its low damage output like Incineroar, Kingambit, Archaludon, and Ting-Lu (Talking about 3 Pokemon here should be fine, and Ting-Lu doesn't take great advantage of Jugulis since it isn't doing much damage to it.). Booster Energy Speed Flutter Mane is also a big weakness for Iron Jugulis, using fast Icy Winds to mitigate Iron Jugulis's Tailwind, and it can pressure a Tera with Moonblast.

[SET COMMENTS]

* Snarl is helpful to slow down the plethora of strong Special Attackers in the format such as Flutter Mane, Raging Bolt, Gholdengo, Ursaluna-Bloodmoon, Iron Crown, Farigiraf, and Glimmora. (For future reference, listing 7 Pokemon for one thing is a bit too much, just took off one that does a lot of damage to Jugulis and one that isn't doing too much damage in general.)

* Booster Energy is a must-have item on Iron Jugulis, allowing it to outspeed common fast threats such as Choice Specs Flutter Mane, and Chien-Pao and fire off fast Snarls, Air Slashes, and fast Tailwinds.

* The defensive investment is to live a standard Tera Normal-boosted Extreme Speed from Dragonite with Sword of Ruin active on the field, as well as an -1 Adamant Icicle Crash from Chien-Pao. The Special Defense investment allows Iron Jugulis to survive a Choice Specs Tera Fairy-boosted Dazzling Gleam from Flutter Mane and a Thunderbolt from Modest Raging Bolt, both after they have been Snarled. Iron Jugulis has enough Speed investment to outspeed Modest Glimmora and Gholdengo if they have Tailwind up on their side of the field, as well as a +2Commander-boosted Dondozo without a Quark Drive boost.

* The decision between Tera Poison and Tera Steel comes down to team and player preferences., both having their own inherent qualities such as Tera Poison allowings Iron Jugulis to tank Close Combats from both formes Urshifu, and Tera Steel havings resistances to strong attacks such as Blood Moon, Icicle Crash, Ice Spinner, and Make it Rain.

I'll do another check after this, please keep in mind the length of your analysis, a lot of this info is pretty unnecessary. The reader shoulden't have to read 4 paragraphs to get a gist of what the mon does. Btw, I've removed there here but havent highlighted it, but theres a lot of parts where you add an extra space after a full stop, generally looks pre good though. Also remember to credit me and Flare!
[OVERVIEW]

* Iron Jugulis's great type combination of Dark / Flying and strong support tools such as Tailwind and Snarl make it a very strong off-meta threat (Here you say its an offensive threat, but you mention supportive moves. Which one is it?) in the current format (Im gonna stop mentioning it for every part later on, but a lot of this is unnecessary or dex info, such as its typing and current format. Ofc we arent writing for a previous one). With the ability Quark Drive Booster Energy, Iron Jugulis is able to outspeed almost every other Pokemon in the format and use its great support options to apply pressure on the opponent. (Such as? Its the overview, you want to mention this here) Its Dark typing is extremely beneficial in doing so, allowing it to be immune to Prankster Taunts, giving it the ability to resist powerful Wicked Blows from Urshifu-S, and having a positive matchup into the strong Psychic-types in the format such as Farigiraf, Iron Crown, and Indeedee-F. Iron Jugulis's Flying-type also helps toward the vast amount of Grass-types in the format like Ogerpon-W, Rillaboom, Amoonguss, and Ogerpon-H, as well as being immune to Ground moves from the likes of Ursaluna-Bloodmoon and Landorus-I. Its typing gives it an immunity to Prankster Taunt, as well as resistances to several common threats such as Rillaboom and Urshifu-S. (Shortened the whole section, dident need to be this long. I woulden't move the whole section to another paragraph like Flare said, just trim it down)

* Ogerpon-W is a great partner paired with for Iron Jugulis, providing redirection to allow Iron Jugulis to set up a Tailwind for its team easier, as well as safely redirecting Spores. It also provides a way to redirect Spores away thanks to its Grass typing. (Example of the space thing, theres an extra one here) Both Incineroar and Urshifu-S are also great partners for Iron Jugulis, working well paired with it under Tailwind to either slow down or accelerate the pace of the game. (Any mon can do this, what makes Incin and Urshifu special? Incin you explain, but Dark fu is just that it appreciates TW. Why not run Tornadus? Can you find a specific reason for it being good with it?) Incineroar providing strong Fake Out pressure as well as Intimidate support to deter would be checks like Chien-Pao or a Terastallized Ogerpon. provides Fake Out support, as well as weakening potential threats such as Chien-Pao with Intimidate. Urshifu-S benefits from Iron Jugulis's Tailwind support, allowing it fire off powerful Wicked Blows to deal with threats such as Dondozo or Raging Bolt. (Bolt, esp with tera Fairy is fine with Urshifu, and Dozo is a bad MU for a lot of mons, not really Jugulis especially.)

* Iron Jugulis also pairs well with the combination of Farigiraf and Ursaluna-Bloodmoon, giving a fast Tailwind mode for the team and working as a strong lead paired with Farigiraf to mix up what game mode the team wants to function around for a given matchup. Iron Jugulis is used on semi Trick Room teams with Farigiraf, as it forces opponents to respect both potential leads. Flutter Mane is also a very strong and consistent pairing with Iron Jugulis, countering opposing Dark-types that Iron Jugulis would have trouble dealing with. (Shortened the first sentence. The Tailroom part honestly I'd put in overview, thats pretty much the only scenario where Jugulis is being used. Also, you mention 5-6 mons. At max you want 3-4, cut some stuff out here that you feel has the least synergy with Jugulis)

* Iron Jugulis typically struggles against Pokemon that can OHKO it if you can't invest a Terastallization such as Flutter Mane, Raging Bolt, Chien-Pao, and Glimmora. Iron Jugulis's typing means it's weak to common meta game threats such as Flutter Mane, especially the Speed Booster Energy variants, and Chien-Pao, which often force a Terastalization or switch. (Changed this, because like every mon struggles against Pokemon that can OHKO it without Tera, be more specific, is it weak to common meta threats? Thats what im assuming, also I moved the last sentence upwards.) It Iron Jugulis also struggles against bulky Pokemon that resist Iron Jugulis's STAB moves Its STAB and can take advantage of its low damage output like Incineroar, Kingambit, and Raging Bolt Archaludon, and Ting-Lu (Too many examples, Gambit and Ting lu cant really "Take advantage" of its low damage output, as they dont deal SE damage. I mentioned Bolt as its a much more present meta threat that also ignores Jugulises TW thanks to Tclap). Booster Energy Speed Flutter Mane is also a big weakness for Iron Jugulis, using fast Icy Winds to mitigate Iron Jugulis's Tailwind.

* Snarl is helpful to slow down the plethora of strong Special Attackers in the format such as Flutter Mane, Raging Bolt, Gholdengo, Ursaluna-Bloodmoon, Iron Crown, Farigiraf, and Glimmora. (Too many mentions, just saying strong special attackers is fine)

* Booster Energy is a must-have item on Iron Jugulis, allowing it to outspeed common fast threats such as Flutter Mane and Chien-Pao and fire off fast Snarls, Air Slashes, and Tailwinds. allows Jugulis to fire off fast attacks and set up Tailwind easier, as well as outspeed threats such as Chien-Pao. (Shortening, you can phrase this how you like but yeah. Might want to mention it outspeeding special attackers and clicking snarl first too)

* The defensive investment is to live a standard Tera Normal-boosted Extreme Speed from Dragonite with Sword of Ruin active on the field, as well as an -1 Adamant Icicle Crash from Chien-Pao. The Special Defense investment allows Iron Jugulis to survive a Choice Specs Tera Fairy-boosted Dazzling Gleam from Flutter Mane and a Thunderbolt from Modest Raging Bolt, both after a Snarl. Iron Jugulis has enough Speed investment to outspeed Modest Glimmora and Gholdengo if they have Tailwind on their side of the field, as well as Commander-boosted Dondozo without a Quark Drive boost. The invested bulk allows Iron Jugulis to survive a Extreme Speed from Choice Banded Tera Normal Dragonite with Sword of Ruin active, as well as an Icicle Crash from a -1 Attack Chien-Pao. After a Snarl, Iron Jugulis lives a Dazzling Gleam from Choice Specs Tera Fairy Flutter Mane, as well as Thunderbolt from Raging Bolt. (Shortening this and trying to keep the correct formating. If a stat is 252 or 252+, dont explain what it does, the ev spread explanation is only for specific investments.)

* The decision between Tera Poison and Tera Steel comes down to team and player preferences, both having their own inherent qualities such as Tera Poison allowing Iron Jugulis to tank Close Combats from Urshifu and Tera Steel having resistances to strong attacks such as Blood Moon and Make it Rain. Both Tera Poison and Steel are viable, however Poison is generally preferred thanks to the Fighting-type resistance and generally better synergy with Iron Jugulis's original type. While Steel has more resistances, its weak to more types that Poison. (Poison saw much more use than Steel, compare 100% poison use in Melbourne and 35% more Poison use in Knox. You can phrase it how you like, but yeah the pick isen't really equal)

Should be good to send to GP after these changes, good work! Remember to change the post flair
[OVERVIEW]

* Iron Jugulis's great type combination and access to strong support tools such as Tailwind and Snarl make it a nieche but powerful disruptive threat (Added this part, the rest of this might misslead readers to believe its like meta rn, you can choose to not implement if you mention some stuff later on but yeah). With Booster Energy, Iron Jugulis is able to outspeed almost every other Pokemon in the format and use its great support options to apply pressure on the opponent with fast Snarls and Air Slashes. Its typing gives it an immunity to Prankster Taunt, as well as resistances to several common threats such as Rillaboom and Urshifu-S. (This is fine I think)

* Iron Jugulis is used on semi Trick Room teams with Farigiraf and Ursaluna-B, as it forces opponents to respect both potential leads. Ogerpon-W is a great partner for Iron Jugulis, providing redirection to allow Iron Jugulis to set up Tailwind easier, as well as safely redirecting Spores. Incineroar provides Fake Out support, weakening potential threats such as Chien-Pao with Intimidate. (Is there any way you can rephrase this? Like "Both Ogerpon Wellspring and Incineroar are good partners for Jugulis, with Incineroar providing ____, and Ogerpon-W providing ___", the old sentence kinda reads weird. Your choice though) Flutter Mane is also a very strong and consistent pairing with Iron Jugulis, countering opposing Dark-types that Iron Jugulis would have trouble dealing with.

* While having a few strong resistances, Iron Jugulis's typing also means it's weak to common meta game threats such as Flutter Mane, especially the Speed Booster Energy variants, and Chien-Pao, which often force a Terastallization or switch threaten an OHKO. (Clarifying here, it makes more sense that its a counter if it threatens an OHKO, and at the start cuz it was mentioned its typing is strong) Iron Jugulis also struggles against Pokemon that resist its STAB and can take advantage of its low damage output like Incineroar and Raging Bolt. (Not so sure about this one, but I think another weakness of Jugulis would be it being outclassed by torn a bit no? Just wondering if you think its worth a mention, as that would explain to people why Jugulis isent being used as much)
