LCPL Champion
Iron Crown @ Assault Vest
Ability: Quark Drive
EVs: 248 HP / 20 SpA / 240 SpD
IVs: 20 Atk
Tera Type: Fairy / Water
Modest Nature
- Tachyon Cutter
- Psychic Noise
- Volt Switch
- Focus Blast / Future Sight

Iron Crown's defensive typing and offensive stats let it reliably tank hits from even the scariest of wallbreakers like Tapu Lele, Iron Valiant, and Kyurem and threaten them back with Tachyon Cutter. Iron Crown can also set up a Future Sight to combo with an ally's attack or Volt Switch out for momentum, making it an amazing pivot in National Dex. Psychic Noise can ruin Gliscor’s day, removing its Poison Heal, while also keeping other walls like Mega Scizor and Skeledirge at low health. Iron Crown works best when paired with other pivots to create potent VoltTurn cores, such as Landorus-T, Urshifu-R, and Tapu Koko. Future Sight can create deadly combos with teammates like Urshifu-R, letting it muscle past checks like Toxapex and Raging Bolt quite easily. Alternatively, Iron Crown can run Focus Blast to threaten Steel-types like Ferrothorn and Heatran. Quark Drive makes both an allied or opposing Tapu Koko very helpful for Iron Crown, giving it a Special Attack boost that allows for an even more consistent matchup against Electric Terrain beneficiaries such as Iron Valiant and even Iron Moth with a timely Tera Water.

(I'm sorry I looked through every week of NDWC and could not find a single replay of this set doing anything notable)

remove vile mention (its ohkoed by tachyon), and add that focus lets u more proactive vs steels like tran and ferro bc u arent forced into spamming volt on them.
should probably add a line about psynoise too, lets it annoy glisc a lot and can pressure lefties mons like ferro tran bliss
1/1 after this gj

Are there any other potential Pursuit users? I’m a bit out of touch with the meta but with Kingambit gone and Mega Scizor walling you anyway (and not really using Pursuit) I’m not sure
