SV OU Infernape Sun (SV OU)

So I‘ve been trying to make a sun team with infernape and went with this. I saw the core of walking wake, Infernape and Torkoal somewherr but can‘t remember the creater anymore. Feedback is appreciated!

Chose this mon because well it was my first ever pokemon I had. Because of sun its dmg output with Overheat is really strong and sometimes can be clicked 2 times even with the halved sp atk. Also it can serve as a game turning surprise with Tera Blast ice to kill Gliscor or kill Great Tusk with Grass knot, since Ive never seen any Tusk with sp def or meaningful HP investment.

Just a really good Mon under sun. It‘s EVs are distributed to gain a speed boost under sun to outspeed and threaten mons like Dragapult. Overall it‘s just an insane heavy hitter.

Ability: Drought
Tera Type: Fire
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpD
Bold Nature
- Lava Plume
- Yawn
- Stealth Rock
- Rapid Spin

The sun setter. Included Rapid Spin to remove the hazards which would chip Mons like Ape or Wake whose Offense would get severely hindered because of Wake‘s Life Orb or Ape‘s Sash not working. Also gave it sp def because I didn‘t experience any moment where it had trouble tanking physical hits, even Ivy Cudgel from Wellspring because of the sun nerfing the power of water moves.

Tera Type: Ghost
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe

- Shadow Ball

I‘m still very uncertain about its Item. Its supposed to be another heavy hitter with pivoting capabilities. Just a potential special sweeper who always moves first.

Tusk also has access to Hazard removal which I find is a weakness in my team. It also gets boosted by sun due to its ability and can check Mons like Kingambit or non Scarf Gholdengo and can threaten a Gliscor kill with Ice spinner. It‘s supposed to be as fast and strong as possible.

I just think Kingambit is busted so I put it in. Invested in HP instead of speed since I valued the bulk of Kingambit much more so it can stay on the field to dish out way more damage and potentially sweep, although I‘m still decising between black glasses and Leftovers.

I hope this was enough description, I‘m still in the learning phase of building teams and have next to no exp in that, so I‘m not rly that good at telling which pokemon would counter my team and how to check them.

Hey, you have a cool idea in your hands, I will say that the components of the team can be made better, so let me help you

Big changes

:dragapult: ----> :rillaboom:

While dragapult is not a bad mon in the slightest, I decided to go with rilla here for the utility it can provide, it's the strongest grass type right now, so bulky waters and spedef walls that want to wall wake will find themselves scared of getting near you, grassy terrain will also give you some passive recovery for the entire team and will alleviate the ground damage of earthquake, which can be useful since your running 3 weak to ground mons. Not to mention the utility in extra priority, U-turn and knock off is always great

EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe

- Wood Hammer

Small changes

On :Walking wake: change Life Orb to specs for maximun stupid good damage and flip turn over dragon pulse, this will generate momentum if you know your opp is gonna bring a switching

On :Torkoal: go with tera water for general resist and with flamethrower over lava plume, this will allow you to break dragapult's sub under sun, which can be usefull given that set is quite popular

On :Great tusk: we are going with a BU set

This spread will make it so that you will get a speed boost in sun, and with sun, you can keep boots and be hazard inmune, this will let you do late game cleaning or take on emergency threads with tera poison, like iron valiant, rillaboom, etc.

On :kingambit: go with the standard tera fairy bulky set over flying, it's more valuable for the dragon immunity + general resits fairy will provide

On :infernape: this is more of a soft suggestion but try Eject Pack over Focus Sash, since you have overheat, under sun you will nuke something and instantly pivot out into whatever, giving you plenty of momentum
