Infernape or Lucario?

Now, we've all seen Lucario used effectively with the late-game sweeper set, but I want to know what you guys think of this set:
Infernape @ Life Orb
Adamant-252 Atk/252 speed/ 252 HP
Swords Dance
Fire Punch
Mach Punch
HP Ice/Punishment
Description- It works basically the same as Lucario, but outspeeds standard Gliscor and Dragons, and can KO with HP Ice. Also, punishment can be considered to KO ghosts, with double power after swords dance.
Just in case you don't know Lucario, here it is:

Same EVs
Swords Dance
Close Combat
Extremespeed
Ice Punch/Crunch
Let me know which you think is more effective, I just thought I'd try out the other set.

Problem is, Infernape possesses a weaker priority attack, which not only does Scarf Rotom resist(like E-speed) but Latias as well. Lucario is immune to sandstorm, resists Stealth Rock 4x, and has a 4x resistance to dark, allowing it to set up much more efficiently. Personally, I prefer Lucario, as it has some respectable durability(resists/immunes) for a sweeper, and is more powerful(both attack and priority wise).

If you are asking for which of the two sets listed is better, I would say Lucario, mostly based on the things mentioned by blasphemy1. However, as sweepers in general, they play two different roles.

Lucario is an effective late game sweeper who would do best not to come out too early in the battle.

Infernape acts as a stall breaker and mid-game sweeper. It can sweep late game, but not as well as Lucario.

Lucario is generally seen as the better sweeper due to stronger priority, better typing which allows it more room to set up, and immunity to sandstorm/toxic. Also, given your set it looks like Infernape won't dent things as easily as Lucario, given that its strongest move is Fire Punch as opposed to Lucario's 120 BP Close Combat, and is walled by Gyarados even worse, as well as Vaporeon, Swampert, Suicune, and Latias.

Anyways, I don't think there is much to discuss here. If you want to point out that Infernape's advantages are worth over Lucario's, it's better off posted in the New and Creative Movesets thread.
