I was thinking of a potentially long-term worthwhile suggestion where we could include two notably handy tips / commands at the start of each Random Battle.
As rands staff, I find myself laddering vs a variety of players ranging from those who hang out in rands room to those who don't hang out in any room and just come on to play the game. For the benefit of the latter, I was thinking to add a very brief tip that reminds users of the existence of a Randbats Calculator (/rcalc). I also find that many of those who are aware of the existence of the regular damage calculator don't actually know about the rands calc, so it would also be quite helpful for players who mostly play tiers. They're already familiar with the regular calc, so they should have no issues making use of the rands one.
Furthermore, adding the /randbats pokemon, gen advice at the top of the battle will help beginners become aware of it, and thus become immediately familiar with sets, as well as those who aspire to reach certain ranks. We get questions and comments about users striving to reach 1800, 1900, etc so why not help equip them with those tools by providing it to them at the start of random games? Not all ladderers will be hanging out in rands room - the main hub where users will know about those commands. Plus, they don't need to, quite frankly.
In fact, I think they're all set; they just need to know about it. If someone was playing Gen 4 Rands, using the /randbats pokemon command will automatically display the set of the Pokemon in that generation. Raising awareness of these commands will be a major quality of life implemention, in my opinion.
