I personally feel like people take it too far when they say Franklin is the worst character. He is not necessarily the worst character because, there are characters much worse than F-dog (yes, that's his nickname). Those characters are characters that cause harm, too boring, too mean or are too dangerous. Of the lot, the terrible characters are these:
Jimmy- He is almost always on his bed, playing video games, doing almost nothing.
Aunt Denise- She is not very nice to Franklin. She doesn't even greet him properly when he comes. Plus, she's so boring. 97% of the time, all she ever does is sit on her couch, watching TV.
Stretch-Not very respectful to Franklin or Lamar, plus all he did was set both him and Lamar on multiple occasions.
Steve Haines-He wants Trevor killed and forces Franklin to become a bad guy.
Devin-Why does he exist? He wants Franklin to betray his friends and wants mostly Michael killed. He even attacked his family.
Plus Franklin does actually have an intriguing story. He had a father who was abusive to his mother who died of cocaine problems. He barely new his problems. He wanted to become a successful man. That was his desire. That's why, he came to Michael and took advice. Besides, Franklin is actually a good and important characters. He helped Michael on numerous occasions, such as when Franklin saved his son instead of just leaving him behind in "Father/Son" mission. He even saved Michael from the Chinese Mafia and Lamar from the ballas. He even ended the arguments between Michael and Trevor. He was the least annoying of the trio.
He even made sure Michael and Trevor were safe. He cared for his friends and was honest. That's a better preview about Franklin but I like him. That's my take.
