These manager pair selections have got to be a joke. At first, I thought that its better to stay silent and let it pass, but on reconsidering it, I think it sets a dangerous precedent for the future.
From what I understand, there are two primary qualities that the host looks for in any manager that has signed up.
- Competence and experience in said tiers
- Team chemistry / Ability to lead a team
One can argue about the weightage of said qualities, but everyone agrees that these are what every manager should have at the bare minimum. If you sign up to manage, it means that you back yourself in both these departments. Its then the host's job to use their best judgement to pick the best out of the bunch, for the overall health and success of the tournament.
That does not seem to be the case here.
One look at the manager pairs, and anyone that has been keeping up with hpl in recent times will tell you that something is off.

NOTE winning tryout matches doesnt mean you are 100% in , as lot of factors are involved , so i apologize in advance if someone who tried out doesnt end up getting picked.

Probably the best sv 1v1 mainer among the hindi speakers. Qualified LT, supported four other guys into qualifying LT and gave away teams for playoffs. The only issue with him is that he has insane mood swings and if he loses his motivation hes nothing. Also if he wins the first or second week he basically has incredibly high motivation for the entire tour so be wise in picking him
Super good clickers with good recent performances AND activity. They can be in the high end of the pool and they play pretty ideally compared to the hs pool

However they have significantly improved from the last few tours since they are currently 3-3 this PL and in playoffs while also being a top seed LT qualifier. Their indivs performances have been good too and they are currently in the top 10 of the circuit rankings as of now. Miyoko is someone who doesnt have a large pool of teams/mons that they build with but can catch someone being greedy. I am not sure how self sufficient miyoko will be but as long as they click to their instincts they will go in the higher end of the pool. Another perk of getting miyoko is that you can make them play a non 1v1 tier and they can do good in them as well. Remember that miyoko has 1 or 2 more weeks left of PL so you might need backup teambuilding in case. Keep in mind that miyoko needs a certain environment to thrive. Overall they are really good if they are motivated, pretty flexible as well. Be careful with their dangerous scheduling tho.

Solid draftable people, can be even worth drafting them over the two people i mentioned above since they will either be at the super high end of the pool or super good teammates in general

Another LT qualifier and a general ladder demon, his first PL season(which is ongoing) has been pretty good for a first timer and their team has made playoffs. Another thing is that kala seems REALLY active in the tour(which i guess can translate well to HPL). Just like miyoko If you draft him keep in mind they still have 1 or 2 weeks of PL left so they might need outside help. Overall a really good, active and self sufficient player, however needs to make sure to keep basic human decency.
He just won his first PL game!! Hes currently undefeated in 1v1 teamtours(1-0), his performance last HPL was pretty meh, his building is a little straightforward(but really diverse!) but it can really work if he basically outclicks as he did while getting to LT playoffs. Overall a general good buy considering he's self sufficient and probably motivated?
This ones a really interesting one, Mentality is a big surprise whos actively learning the tier AND the community, probably like last year me in a couple of ways? They deserve their first teamtour spot in this tour either as a backup or a starter. Their teambuilding is super transparent and they welcome suggestions always. Suggested to run this guy with a good supporter and you get his good active teamcord presence + an active channel. Another thing is that he has no foreseen teamtour usage either so his building will always be unexpected in a way or another. Overall a very worth choice considering his activity and motivation.
Good and flexible players who can be in the middle end of the pool, they might need teambuilding support tho
Top tier HS supporter. Even though he didnt play a single game in WC, his support was enough to justify his presence in the team, if you plan on getting him, you might not even need someone to pass teams as well. Overall a solid team presence(which is what these tours really need!!) and go well too.
Hes pretty active and i guess will be active for the entire tour, clicking/building wise id say hes like extreme neutral. You can make him play other tiers too so thats something. Overall good chat presence but needs a bit of test in the clicking department(make sure to get them ^^). Pairing them with recti sounds good
Another surprising one, no actual teamtours/indivs presence but they are a good 1v1 player and can be a pretty worth self sufficient buy? I am not sure how motivated will they be but if you get their tryouts you might have noticed them being a naturally good player
Really good LT run where they qualified in the unnaturally tense cycle 3, their playoffs run also went pretty far so i consider them to be a good clicker. I am not sure about building and team presence but if you get them also get someone to pass teams in case needed.
Extended B tier, honestly on par with the B tier but a few things bring them down
I am in a pretty ambiguous state with shivam(and nakoruru to an extent) since they qualified to LT playoffs as well, I am not sure how vast his building/clicking goes, if you got a positive attitude in tryouts make sure to get him, you can trust him. You might also need external building help in case similar to nakoruru since idk how motivated shivam will be
Good chat presence but building/general self sufficiency is a bit of a question mark, adding him to this tier because i havent actually seen him play/build so i am as ambiguous as the two names above.

I am not sure how active they will be, but they can learn the tier pretty quickly, building is okay clicking seems okay, id get them as a generally good bench
...get him. his team ALWAYS makes playoffs disregarding his own records. Hes the luckiest charm and a good person in general. Motivation/activity is the only question, they are good at learning tiers and a good builder and can be a good clicker if motivated, can play randbats if you want them to win games.
Kanha isnt a bad 1v1 player by any means(hes undefeated in ogpl) but if i am manager i get him for playing a 6v6 tier and be a viable bench in 1v1

probably the best sv 1v1 player on the entire site, has a collective amount of 2 losses in the last pl, last to last pl(undefeated), last wc(undefeated) and last ogpl(won ogpl as an unplaying manager) and a circuit win last to last year. Super solid player, always worth more than what you think she is worth for. Basically an instawinslot you wont mind using up a foreign slot for, even as a builder or a supporter, good teamcord presence too.
DripLegend tier
current circuit winner, went to finals in wc, won wcop, good presence in teamcord, issue about him is that i dont know how active will he be and he hasnt got the brightest teamtour record either. He can run others tiers than 1v1 too so thats a cool thing!!
Super solid drafts even if they take up a foreign slot, good presence in the community, good activity, basically mainers with a lot of skill in general
Do i even have to say something? Stravench has been an active supporter last HPL where he helped Litt into best record and might even have general involvement with them winning the tour. Super solid self sufficient player, super motivated, probably one of the best actual overall nhs player you can bring into your squad and they will never fail you.
GAME 5 GIDDEY SIGNUP HYPE!!!! hes undefeated in pl rn and is gonna win the tour~! Super motivated to clear the 1v1 pool and a worth buy.
Super solid clicker, super solid builder, overall great self sufficiency, blanched is currently in PL semis and is the best record on his team, a very worth choice but i am not sure if he will be as motivated as he is currently in pl during hpl, i have mostly heard they will be so here we are in A tier
The record breaking LT first seed(1700+ in 2024) into playoffs(even though they were eliminated super early).. Super solid builder, really good metagame knowledge and can have ACTUAL INVOLVEMENT IN THE TOUR almost just like stravench!! A very worth buy and i am looking to see them play the tour.
Super solid teammates and good friends, can be great mainers, they have had good involvement in the community and would be a really worth draft even just as a bench. Reason why they are lower than A tier is that they have had a pretty underwhelming current PL playing record.
A really good teammate who has had significant activity in the community(almost like stravs or hapeesh) as a host a player and a supporter in general. He mains this tier and is probably motivated for playing good this hpl as well. He managed his PL team(pults) to 5th seed with good activity and also the underdogs of wc(latam) to 9th seed(this is an achievement because latam isnt exactly known for 1v1). They are (generally) really motivated and can be self sufficient(even without delemon support), the reason they are lower than A tier is their current PL record(3-4) as a manager. I am not sure but i also think hes pretty flexible into other slots as well and as a general bench
Just like bern, happysh and stravench, glacy has had involvement in the community with her singlehandedly supporting a team's 1v1 to semis in HPL and to some extent UMPL. A very active person in every teamcord whether as a player or not. Clicking and building wise she is not as good as most other people on the list(0-4 last pl 1-3 this pl) but she doesnt really need that because she can carry the delemon support anyway(which is also why shes comparatively higher in the list).
These players are prob better than some of the ones mentioned above in general playing and clicking and stuff, but they are held back by the fact that they might or might not be as motivated for the tour as the ones mentioned above
Close is one of the best 1v1 players on the site rn. But his issue is that he doesnt main sv and would need teambuilding help and someone to pass teams. He is absolutely worth picking for your squad if you get a supporter to pass teams to him or he gets motivated for this tour. Not much else to say
Similar case as close but lolebruh is kind of a mainer too, with a masters win last year!! I am not sure how active will they be but if they are get them they are like A tier on this list with good activity!!
Flexible and/or good players with ok records this pl
Hes a really solid mainer but he could have been a little higher if he had a comparatively good season this year, their general performances have been p good, their wc was okay their last pl was okay, current pl could have been a little better yeah but they add a lot of flexibility and good presence
Really flexible player, qualified in uult, is 2-2 currently in PL, with his team in semis. Super solid draft but held back by the fact that he wasnt apparently a hindi speaker rip
These guys are really good at certain 1v1 old gens though havent showed any significant activity in SV
Played oras 1v1 in wc and pl and had a pretty good record, a good buy if you think they can play sv the same way as they play ORAS

Akeras will be extremely motivated if you draft him to his first teamtour after his super long break, they did okay during last to last pl and ogpl so i guess they will be a neutral player here too, motivation is a big factor so thats why hes up a tier
They havent ever played a teamtour but they will be good presence for sure, if you get them you can maybe add a supporter and see them win games, for now i am not sure if they can be moved up a tier or not
These guys havent been tested enough and idk how will their teamcord presence will be, you can get them if you feel like they are worth it
He managed pults with bern to 5th seed and apparently had zero activity in the tour, as a player and a builder he is pretty good but only and only get them if they are willing to actually play and not waste everyone's time.
Monopoke goat setup??? A good player but still needs a lot to prove, they can(i think) be active as well??? As of now i wont comment anything since i dont personally know them.
I personally dont know them but they manages latam to 9th spot in wc, honestly i havent seen them do anything at all so i am gonna assume they will be like motivated or smth sry idk much about them.
