:hoopa:Hoopa @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Magician
Tera Type: Fighting
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
IVs: 0 Atk
Timid Nature
- Psyshock
- Shadow Ball
- Focus Blast
- Trick
Hoopa may take you by surprise! With an incredibly strong Special Attack stat and a solid Speed boosted by Choice Scarf, Hoopa is one of the premier revenge killers in the entire metagame! Psyshock is chosen over Psychic so Hoopa can hit special walls like Florges and Goodra for higher damage. Focus Blast hits Dark- and Steel-types like Scrafty, Wo-Chien, Copperajah, and Duraludon, and Tera Fighting allows Hoopa to deal even more damage with this attack while also resisting Sucker Punch from Pokemon like Zoroark. Lastly, Trick makes progress mid-game, granting the Choice Scarf upon passive Pokemon that might switch in like Altaria, Wo-Chien, and Florges. Hoopa fits best on teams built around it being able to switch in safely, so it really likes having slow pivots, like Bellibolt, Milotic, and Gligar, as partners. Knock Off is a huge problem for Hoopa, as many metagame threats such as Bombirdier and Skuntank can threaten Hoopa with it, so Hoopa appreciates having Knock Off absorbers on its team, like Grimmsnarl, Scrafty, and both Paldean Tauros-W and Paldean Tauros-F.

Lastly, Trick is chosen as a tool to make progress in the mid-game, granting the Choice Scarf upon setup sweepers or passive Pokemon that might switch in like Slowbro-G, Wo-Chien, and Milotic (Galarbro and Milo rly dont wanna swap in since galarbro fears sball and milo doesnt rly want to take an sball either, so i woulld change these examples to something else, Altaria or something like that.) . Hoopa fits best on teams built around it being able to switch in safely, so it really likes having slow pivots like Bellibolt, Milotic, and Gligar. Knock Off is a huge problem for Hoopa, since it's a move that a lot of Pokemon, like Bombirdier, Gligar, and Skuntank are running in the metagame, (this is subjective but i dont like how this is worded, so i would rather say "Knock Off is a huge problem for Hoopa as many metagame threats such as Bombirdier and Skuntank can threaten Hoopa with it..) so Hoopa appreciates having Knock Off absorbers on its team like Coalossal (not a consistent absorber cause it becomes a worse spinner, mention something else.), Scrafty, and both Tauros-P.
1/1 once implemented, nice work!
