Hoopa-Unbound @ Choice Band
Ability: Magician
Tera Type: Psychic
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Hyperspace Fury
- Gunk Shot
- Drain Punch / Ice Punch
- Zen Headbutt / Ice Punch

Hoopa-U unleashes its fury by combining high-Base Power moves with its excellent stats to dish out huge amounts of damage! Hyperspace Fury is the preferred STAB option, hitting Metagross and Iron Crown for massive damage. Gunk Shot hits a lot of Fairy-type checks like non-Custap Berry Primarina and Sylveon for huge damage while also accounting for niche Grass-types like non-Choice Band Rillaboom. Drain Punch hits Steel-types like Archaludon hard without dropping Hoopa's Defense. Zen Headbutt is the Psychic-type STAB move of choice, hitting threats like Clodsire. Ice Punch is also a notable option to beat slower Landorus-T. Hoopa-U struggles with faster Pokemon that have Bug-type coverage or strong STAB options like Chien-Pao, Volcarona, Ogerpon-H, and Porygon-Z. As such, it should be paired with bulkier Pokemon like Rhyperior and Skeledirge, or Pokemon able to outspeed common threats like Iron Valiant.

you're still losing to custap here, roughly 25% of the time for prim if max modest. We can go 64 SpD here probs for that hit. Custap Sylv is rough tho.

while also accounting for niche grasses like Rillaboom
252+ Atk Choice Band Rillaboom Grassy Glide vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Hoopa-Unbound in Grassy Terrain: 285-336 (94.6 - 111.6%) -- 68.8% chance to OHKO, honestly the answer here might just be switching this set out for bulky lol

hitting threats like Iron Hands
Hands just murders you back usually, again bulky might be nicer here

Ice Punch is also a notable option to beat slower Landorus-Therian
If this is all it does, is Ice Punch worth it? I feel like you're not really clicking it usually and winning.

Probs needs a little bit of set-based discussion in sv-qc chat
