[OVERVIEW]

Hoopa appears to be a threatening offensive Pokemon, since it sports a good STAB combination and the highest Special Attack stat in RU. Unfortunately, its Speed and Defense are incredibly lacking, which allows it to be revenge killed and Pursuit trapped easily by Pokemon such as Golisopod, Zygarde-10%, and Drapion. Hoopa's defensive typing also leaves it extremely vulnerable to Pokemon with Dark-type coverage moves like Donphan and Mega Blastoise, which makes it a terrible spinblocker. Mismagius often gives Hoopa immense competition thanks to its much better Speed tier and ability to threaten other playstyles besides balance and stall.

Hoopa can attempt to take advantage of more passive Pokemon such as Registeel and Bronzong by setting up a Substitute and boosting with Nasty Plot. Once Substitute is broken, however, it becomes incredibly easy to revenge kill due to its horrible defensive typing and pitiful Defense. Mismagius is a much better pick for most teams due to its superior Speed and defensive utility

Unfortunately, its Speed and Defense are incredibly lacking, which allows it to be revenge killed or and Pursuit trapped quickly easily by Pokemon such as Golisopod, Zygarde-10%, and Drapion. Hoopa's defensive typing also leaves it extremely vulnerable to Pokemon with Dark-type coverage moves like Donphan, Mega Blastoise, and Machamp, which makes it a terrible spinblocker(I find it a little odd that you list Machamp in this bit and then go on to only talk about it being a poor spinblocker. it'd make more sense to me at least to say it's also a poor check to Fighting-types). Mismagius often gives Hoopa immense competition thanks to its much better speed Speed tier and ability to threaten other playstyles besides balance and stall.
