Sporting high bulk, Hippowdon is a good defensive Stealth Rock setter that switches into common threats such as Choice Iron Valiant and Tapu Koko. Toxic + Sand Stream is a good combination to easily chip down foes that lack reliable recovery, such as Mega Charizard Y and Rotom-W, as well as Ground-immune foes, such as Landorus-T and Dragonite. Sand Stream also disrupts opposing weather teams. Tera Steel can flip matchups against foes such as Tapu Lele and Ferrothorn and also grants an immunity to Toxic. Maximum Special Defense EVs are used to allow Hippowdon to check foes such as Tapu Lele and Tapu Koko. Skarmory is an extremely potent teammate for Hippowdon. The pair, affectionately dubbed "HippoSkarm" by the player base, are extremely good, as Skarmory checks physical attackers like Mega Swampert for Hippowdon, which checks special attackers like Tapu Koko for Skarmory in return. They're also good at chipping down opposing teams through entry hazard pressure and sandstorm damage. Other good teammates include Mega Lopunny and Garganacl, as both appreciate Hippowdon's ability to take care of the aforementioned special attackers.

Maximum Special Defence DEFENSE is used to allow Hippowdon to check foes such as Tapu Lele and Tornadus-T easier. hippo is a bad np tornt check, and doesn't want to take knock from utility sets either, use another example As far as teammates go, Skarmory is an extremely potent teammate of Hippowdon's. The pair, affectionately dubbed "Hipposkarm" HippoSkarm by the player base, is extremely effective at stalling out Toxic turns and generally chipping down opposing teams. mention what skarm checks for hippo and vice versa; i would also be more specific in "chipping down opposing teams", since the main way they do it is via entry hazard pressure and sand combined Other good teammates include Mega Lopunny and Tornadus-T, as both appreciate Hippowdon's ability to take care of the aforementioned threats. tornt hates sand, i would include garganacl as a partner instead (specifically idef)

Other good teammates include Mega Lopunny and Garganacl, as both appreciate Hippowdon's ability to take care of the aforementioned threats (change to "special attackers" or whatever other threats you mean, this is ambiguous).
