Hey look! A mono fighting team!

So I haven't played this game in a very long time, but I was feeling nostalgic so I decided to throw together a mono fighting team for fun. It's been doing surprisingly decent on PO, but needs a little work, tell me what you think.

A BIT OF A CLOSER LOOK

darkbreloom.png

Breloom
EV's - HP 12/ATK 244/SPE 252
Nature - Adamant
Item - Toxic Orb
Ability - Poison Heal
-Substitute
-Spore
-Focus Punch
-Seed Bomb
Pretty standard subpunch Breloom, I use him as my lead 9 times out of 10. Can punch huge holes in unprepared teams and put opposing pokes to sleep allowing my other guys to set up. Also the only grass move on the team. Moving on...

Hitmonlee_by_RarroX.jpg

Hitmonlee
EV's - 4 HP/252 ATK/252 SPE
Nature - Adamant
Item - Normal Gem
Ability - Unburden
-Fake Out
-Earthquake
-Stone Edge
-Close Combat
No one seems to know about this build, or expect it. Open with a boosted Fake Out for a free hit, which causes Hitmonlee to consume the Normal Gem, causing him to receive a speed boost from his Unburden ability. This essentially gives him a Choice Scarf while being able to use any attack. Obviously stopped by ghosts who move in on the Fake Out, but otherwise can sweep through entire teams.

Scrafty
EV's 248 HP/8 ATK/252 SPD
Nature - Careful
Item - Leftovers
Ability - Shed Skin
-Bulk Up
-Rest
-Drain Punch
-Dragon Tail
A mostly standard Bulk Up Scrafty, the Dragon Tail has saved me more than once though. He makes a pretty fair wall and status absorber while being able to take any Psychic attacks that might threaten the entire team.

Primeape
EV's - HP 4/ATK 252/SPE 252
Nature - Adamant
Item - Choice Scarf
Ability - Vital Spirit
-Close Combat
-Thunderpunch
-Ice Punch
-U-Turn
A set no one really expects, I figured there's enough EdgeQuake on this team, BoltBeam works just as well. This set can be a fun surprise revenge killer and can keep momentum going through my team.

Lucario__s_Aura_Sphere_by_TheBlueFlames.jpg

Lucario
EV's - 4 HP/252 SPA/252 SPE
Nature - Modest
Item - Life Orb
Ability - Inner Focus
-Nasty Plot
-Vacuum Wave
-Aura Sphere
-Dark Pulse
My special sweeper. Near perfect coverage, priority move, no flinching, we all know Lucario and what he's good at. Last but not least...

Infernape
EV's - 4 HP/252 ATK/252 SPE
Nature - Jolly
Item - Life Orb
Ability - Blaze
-Swords Dance
-Fire Punch
-Close Combat
-Mach Punch
Infernape can force a switch on many opposing threats, and he's not always expected to SD up. His Jolly nature lets him outspeed most things w/o a Scarf, Mach Punch lets him at least dent most other things.

That's really about it, can you tell it was mostly thrown together? Anyway, tell me what you think, maybe even improve it a bit. Happy rating!

Hmm working in a monotype may be nostalgic but it's no easy task. A gengar sweep can be seen a mile away. Unfortunately most of your pokes have bad special defense, so there's not much you can do. Also you may want more special attack. This is why I think it would be a good idea to switch either one of your less versatile Pokemon such as Hitmonlee or Primeape with this:
Virizion
Offensive Calm Mind
Leftovers / Life Orb Timid
Moveset EVs
~ Calm Mind*
~ Giga Drain*
~ Focus Blast*
~ Hidden Power Ice*
4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
It provides a more versatile Pokemon while giving a special wall and sweeper to your team. Just a suggestion though. Nice work on your team though, I realize it's hard while working in a monotype :)

I suggest at least trying Virzion and his brother terakoin in replace of Primape and Hitmonlee

Terakion @ Choice Scarf
-Justified
nature: Jolly
Evs: 4 Hp/ 252 atk/ 252 spe
Moves
-Stone edge
-earthquake
-Close Combat
-Sacred sword - or secret whatever the hell it is :)

Hey, this is a cool team.

One thing I can think of doing is replacing lucario's dark pulse with shadow ball. As lucario is kinda slow with a modest nature, he probably won't be outspeeding enough stuff to make the flinching important. Shadow Ball, on the other hand, will give you perfect coverage and may help you break through a pokemon with high special defense if shadow ball drops their special defense on the switch.

Not many people agree with this but my Scrafty set is a total monster. This set is for sweeping but works extremely well. Focus Sash 252 att/spd 4 hp Drain Punch Dragon Dance Ice Punch and Crunch. After one dd this thing wrecks plus the moxie boost is amazing. If you were to make it a sweeper this is the set I would use.
