Heatran @ Air Balloon
Ability: Flame Body / Flash Fire
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Tera Type: Grass
Modest Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Magma Storm
- Earth Power
- Tera Blast

While lead sets are more dedicated at guaranteeing Stealth Rock, this set allows Heatran to be a better offensive wallbreaker as well! Equipped with an Air Balloon, Heatran can easily threaten the most powerful spinner, Excadrill. Earth Power can nail Fire-types such as Skeledirge and opposing Heatran as well as Toxapex. Tera Blast Grass gives Heatran fantastic coverage at the cost of its Weavile and Lokix matchups, nailing Water-types such as Slowking, Rotom-W, and Quaquaval while also popping Air Balloon on opposing Heatran. Flame Body allows Heatran to punish Pokemon such as the aforementioned Weavile and Lokix, but Flash Fire is the better option if you'd rather focus on checking Fire-types such as Skeledirge and opposing Heatran. Hydrapple is arguably Heatran's best partner, as it can easily take on Pokemon Pokemon such as Greninja and Excadrill, while Heatran can switch into threats such as Lokix and Scizor. Thunder Wave Slowking can check Excadrill, Tornadus-T, and Cobalion. Tornadus-T has the ability to check Greninja and Hydrapple and appreciates Heatran's ability to trap and punish Skeledirge and Slowking.

Heatran has recently dropped to UU and it has already made a name for itself as one of the best offensive entry hazard setters in the tier. Somewhere I would probably appreciate specific commentary on how this set differentiates itself from the lead heatran set in this regard, they are both offensive entry hazard setters but the taunt sets are better at that while this serves as more of a potent offensive wallbreaker combined with setting. Equipped with an Air Balloon, Heatran can easily threaten the most powerful spinner, Excadrill, as it is immune to Earthquake and has a powerful Fire STAB in Magma Storm. Earth Power can help conserve Magma Storm's PP against Steel-types such as Cobalion this aint one you gonna want to stay in against if not tera'd, I would probably just talk about earth power for dirge, opposing tran, pex. as well as nail opposing Fire-types such as Skeledirge. Tera Blast gives Heatran fantastic coverage once it Terastallizes into a Grass typing, nailing Water-types such as Quaquaval and Rotom-W. Slowking is the big one that needs mentioning here given you can trap it -> kill it with a magma storm into tera blast grass combo. Grass Tera also gives Heatran the ability to rid itself of its major Ground weakness once Air Balloon has been popped. Can mention how it needs to beware of losing its weavile and lokix matchup doing this though, especially if running flame body. Can also talk about the ability in general and how flame body lets it punish contract moves from stuff like those 2, while flash fire is an option to complteely wall opposing heatran when air balloon is up / lets you maintain that even if you tera grass (also still matchup well against dirge). Speaking of Grass-types, Hydrapple is arguably Heatran's best partner as it resists Ground- and Water-type moves focus on some specific examples of Pokemon it checks instead, like Greninja and Excadrill. while Heatran can switch into threats such as Lokix, Scizor, and Latios you suck into latios as this heatran so you definitely aren't doing that, . Thunder Wave Slowking is another fantastic partner as it can threaten opposing Ground-types such as Excadrill with Water STAB while also slowing down faster threats such as Tornadus-T and Cobalion. Important imo would be to focus on its ability to actually long term check these Pokemon too. Slowking can also bring in Heatran for free thanks to Chilly Reception and being so naturally slow, allowing Heatran to keep its Air Balloon intact. its a valid point but can save some word count here. Would also like to mention an offensive Pokemon here instead that would appreciate Heatran pressuring and trapping out targets like Skeledirge, Slowking etc. Maybe can mention Torn-T and its ability to check stuff like Greninja and Hydrapple for Heatran.

this is my first spotlight so be nice pls :/

would like to take another look at this quickly after its implemented

Implemented this. Lemme know if there is any other (hopefully small errors) I can fix.

Heatran has recently dropped to UU and it has already made a name for itself as one of the best offensive entry hazard setters in the tier. While lead sets are more dedicated at guaranteeing Stealth Rock, this set allows Heatran to be a better offensive wallbreaker while also still being able to provide Stealth Rock support. Equipped with an Air Balloon, Heatran can easily threaten the most powerful spinner, Excadrill, as it is immune to Earthquake and has a powerful Fire STAB in Magma Storm. Earth Power can nail opposing Fire-types such as Skeledirge and opposing Heatran as well as Toxapex, which all resist Magma Storm. Tera Blast gives Heatran fantastic coverage once it Terastallizes into a Grass typing at the cost of its Weavile and Lokix matchup, nailing Water-types such as Slowking, Rotom-W, and Quaquaval. Mention how you have an option to pop Flash Fire Heatran's Air Balloon with this even wthout tera'ing too! Grass Tera also gives Heatran the ability to rid itself of its major Ground weakness once Air Balloon has been popped However, this does weaken its Weavile and Lokix matchup, especially with running Flame Body. Speaking of Flame Body, Heatran loves using it to punish Pokemon such as the aforementioned Weavile and Lokix as well as random contact moves trying to burst its Air Balloon. but Flash Fire is the better option if you wanna rather focus on checking opposing Fire-types such as Skeledirge and other Heatran. Hydrapple is arguably Heatran's best partner as it can easily take on Pokémon such as Greninja and Excadrill while Heatran can switch into threats such as Lokix and Scizor. Thunder Wave Slowking is another fantastic partner that can check Excadrill, Tornadus-T, and Cobalion as it can threaten opposing Ground-types such as Excadrill with Water STAB while also slowing down faster threats such as Tornadus-T and Cobalion while checking them long-term as well. Tornadus-Therian appreciates Heatran's ability to trap and punish Skeledirge and Slowking while having the ability to check Greninja and Hydrapple.

looks fine now! needs some trimming as this is at more like 1500 characters though, I have made a few cuts there already but should be able to trim it down more with just trimming down wordiness (may need to remove that opening line too). qc 1/1 in terms of content but if you need something else to remove to bring down characters just lmk, i think what ive done brings it down to like 1300 ish already
