Good old Tranner is as cool as ever, arguably even more so in this Defog metagame where spreading so much status and checking Ho-Oh are both very valuable attributes. The immunity to both WoW and Toxic along with Taunt also goes a long way in beating other Stall teams.

That said Heatran is still a great check to Fairy-Arc and non EQ Ho-Oh as well as newcomer Aegislash. It'll probably get some decent usage at least.

Heatran is good in this meta. It just does so much, even walling some teams to death lol. It can taunt, spread toxic, and phaze all at once. Give it some wish support and Ogre check, then it'll be around to wear down opponent. Heatran also doubles as the pretty much definite answer for Grassceus. Pair it with Kyogre, and you'll see good stuff.
