SV OU Heat Ceruledge Bulk-Up Screens V1

This Team has been Rampaging through ladder and I just had to list before the Ops hunt me down. Screen set-up into Ceruledge bulk-up leaves no Mon alive ( Except the Don ). The rest of the team focuses on beating the Ceruledge's checks either by setting up or doing massive damage to them. Try it before you Bash it, Improvments underway...

:sv/ceruledge:
Ceruledge @ Leftovers
Ability: Flash Fire
Tera Type: Bug
EVs: 212 HP / 252 SpD / 44 Spe
Careful Nature
- Bitter Blade
- Shadow Sneak
- Taunt
- Bulk Up

Ceruledge is gonna be the mon that almost always finishes your games, either by Bulking up in front of Chi-Yu's that think flame thrower can touch you through flash fire or any ground type that forgets the power of Bug tera. Too many times have I bulked on a Chi-Yu flamethrower then one shot anything entering with boosted Bitter blade, nothing in the meta checks a fire immune bug type, 0 flying types can one shot through the bulk up nor poisen types.

the only true check is Dondozo unaware, anyone else can be shadow snuck or bitter bladed.

Max SpD with Hp means common specs dark pulses and moonblasts Barely 3 shot, after a bulk up nothing one shots either. 44 Spe means you cant taunt standard no speed investment annhilape sets and win given the ape only has a max of one boost. Ceruledge leaves no mon uncooked (Except the don)

:sv/glimmora:
Glimmora @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Toxic Debris
Tera Type: Grass
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Earth Power
- Dazzling Gleam
- Energy Ball
- Spikes

Scarf Glimmora, a Blindsiding tech which helps in dealing with cerulege checks such as Dondozo using energy ball. Scarf glim is also barley faster than top tier scarfers such as Gholdengo and Other Glimmoras how dont realise da glim is packing heat, via earth power. DGleam is for other fast annoying mons such as iron valiant after Booster energy has been used and to finish Annihilape.

:sv/iron valiant:
Iron Valiant @ Booster Energy
Ability: Quark Drive
Tera: Fairy
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Calm Mind
- Thunderbolt
- Moonblast
- Focus Blast

An all round excellent mon welcome on any team, sometimes Ceruledge doesn't even need to come out with a well timed calm mind. Thunderbolts for Corviknights and Dondozos, the latter being a big issue for ceruledge, removing one without using Tera almost always results in a win. Blast Blast are obviously strong stab moves, although focus blast is not clicked enough in my opinion so close combat or psystrike can be used instead to handle physical checks. Fairy tera gives that bonus boost

:sv/corviknight:
Corviknight @ Leftovers
Ability: Mirror Armor
Tera Type: Fairy
EVs: 248 HP / 8 Def / 252 SpD
Careful Nature
- Bulk Up
- Brave Bird
- Defog
- Roost

The bird is too good not to add, Corv manages to be a Physical answers to strong u-turns (Scizor) and non super effective Physcial moves. max SpD is the same principle with ceruledge. Depending on a opposing Teams condition a well timed Corv bulk can take them by suprise and result in a bulky sweep. Once again Tera Fairy is used but due to its amazing defensive typing.

:sv/great tusk:
Great Tusk @ Booster Energy
Ability: Protosynthesis
Tera Type: Fighting
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Headlong Rush
- Close Combat
- Rapid Spin

Tbh Great tusk is here because I love him, and I enjoy using mons I like. The Tusk is an excellent wall breaker for the likes of un-iron defensed Gargancl and running him as a lead can be an unexpected start for the opponent who expects Grim or Glim. Currently testing usage of Body press max defence instead but we will have to see, this thing is excellent at rocking and De-hazarding whilst dealing with threats like iron hands.

:sv/grimmsnarl:
Grimmsnarl @ Light Clay
Ability: Prankster
Tera Type: Steel
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Impish Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Reflect
- Taunt
- Light Screen
- Parting Shot

Must I explain grim? Sets up screens and fucks off, max defense simply due to the broken physical mons running around, remember that on Chi-Yu lead, Swapping to ceruledge almost always resluts in the Sweep

Any advice i always appreciate.

Hi Lethality0, welcome to Smogon! I am locking your RMT for the time being as the forum rules require that you provide at least three lines of descriptions for each Pokemon to explain their roles. Please read the rules carefully and look at Team Showcase to see the detail we require. PM me with updated descriptions, and I will be happy to unlock this. Also, feel free to PM me if you need help or have any question. Have a nice day!

To PM someone on Smogon, go over their name on any of their post. It will display a little pop-up with a summary of their profile. Then, hit the "Start conversation" button and you will be able to write a PM just like you write a regular thread.

Why did you choose this Pokemon?
What do the EV spreads do and why do you have it?
What are all 4 moves for?

edit: Unlocked, thanks for the descriptions!

Hey there buddy, I like your team, always been a fan of HO teams, so here are the main pros and cons:
Pros:
1- Scarf Glimmora is very wierd, but if you want it keep it it's not an issue at all just a note.
2- If you are running minimal attack EV investment on Ceruledge, But bulk up and Flash fire, are very inferior to weak armor and swords dance sash, but i really like your idea of making ceruledge a defensive bulky sweeper that boosts it offenses under screens and in front of parting shotted opponents, so KEEP DAT CERULEDGE BABY!!
3- Grimmsnarl is a great teammate for ceruledge and other mons keep that grimmy boy
Cons:
1- Running A mixed weakness policy Valiant really fits your team, agility under screens is really good, also if you succesfully used parting shot on an opponent and they don't switch out on parting shot's turn, don't agility attack in case of a switch, and if they have something like clear body to block parting shot, stay in and get that weakness policy proc, for the set i thought of here it is
Iron Valiant @ Weakness Policy
Ability: Quark Drive
EVs: 128 Atk / 128 SpA / 252 Spe
Rash Nature
- Agility
- Close Combat
- Moonblast
- Thunderbolt
2- Your Hazard control Is well managed, But I suggest making corviknight iron defense instead of bulk up, replace brave bird with body press, and u turn instead of defog, give mortal spin instead of energy ball for glimmora to make up for the defog removal, okay here is your improved team:
Screens HO Ceruledge Heat V2 :Grimmsnarl: :Ceruledge: :Iron Valiant: :Glimmora: :Great Tusk: :Corviknight:

Note: The only reason i told you the flaws and goods of your team is just so you learn what they are and don't repeat the mistake, having the whole improved team stright up is bad and you might not understand sh** i changed, so learn from yo mistakes and profit from them :) .
Edit: May i use this team too? i like it, if not that is completely fine i will respect it :) .

I can verify this is a good team. Replay is from Round 3 of SV Release Tour. Right before the game I moved most attack evs to hp so I could get the speed boost anticipating matchup, didn't come in to play but probably would've worked this game.
It's a little match up fishy but Chi-Yu is all over the place and the rest of the team is solid enough. It's very hard for a lot of mons to touch Ceruledge after tera with screens up and it can get dangerous real fast after a few bulk ups.
I also really like the scarf glimmora for instant tspikes removal then either setting up a spike or surprising the opponent with more damage than expected.

The only problem I really have with it is I feel like tusk is just sitting there sometimes but I'm not quite sure what to change in that slot. I don't think I've clicked rocks yet with it so maybe swap that for knock off and at that point Assault Vest might be a shout but honestly it works fine as a strong cleanup mon. I'll probably play with speed a bit more and see how I like it as I usually bring it out late and don't have a chance to rapid spin.

Firstly, I understand Scarf Glimmora is hella weird... which is exaclty why it works, to many times have I suprise one shot a gholdengo. Ceruledge really doesn't need any attack investment, it can even ONE shot chi-yu after 2 bulk ups and a boost, which arent hard to get with fire spam in OU rn.

The mixed Set weakness policy valiant sounds like a dope idea with screens, i'll play around and see how it fits, I've tried the Iron defence variant of the setup Corv, and while It sets up better I find a lot more things in the meta can wall it, Ghost Tera types completly shut it down and it adds another thing dondozo walls on the team.

Please do use the team, I spent hours working on it and just had to show it off, any improvments please send my way as well. Enjoy and Send them my way (:

Good too here its working as intended, I had the same thoughts with Tusk, feels redundant. Considering Assualt vest or rocky still deciding as rocks arent always needed.
