Haunted Theme Parks

I pop in and make a thread once in a while. So all the haunted attractions are starting up so I thought it might be a good time to make a thread about it.

I LOVE going to haunted things. But most of the time they're a let down. Not scary enough or the people I go with ruin it. I hate going with people who try to take the scariness out of it by being complete idiots and laughing or goofing off. Things like talking directly to the 'monsters' completely ruin it for me.

Well Kings Island is a roller coaster amusement park and through October they theme the entire place in Halloween for the night. From 7 pm until 1 am you can go and ride the rides as well as they have special haunted houses to walk through. In total there are ~300 monsters walking the premise!

Me, my girlfriend and a few of her friends are going to go on the 10th. However unlikely- if anyone here is going that night tell me so we can meet even for a second lol.

Is/was King's Island tied to Paramount Amusement Parks?

There is this theme park in Toronto called Wonderland which is totally decked out in haunted stuff for their final month of operation (October). I've been meaning to go, I've never been before and people say it's tons of fun.

This isn't a theme park, but in Niagara Falls they a lot of haunted houses. Most of them are standard creep-fare, that just tries too hard to shock you (But they're still fun lol). There is this one called Nightmares which, swear to God, will creep the living fuck out of you.

The entire thing (except for a few parts) are in complete darkness. There are tiny red lights that guide you, otherwise you can't see a damn thing. And shit pops up from everywhere. Behind you, in front of you, above you, below you. It is extremely scary, I recommend you go if you want a good scare and live in the region. I'm pretty sure there was a guy following me the majority of the time... I had a feeling but could never clearly see, but would feel him touch my back or breathe on me... *shiver*

I believe it was tied to Paramount until Cedar Point bought it a few years back.

And really IPL? Yeah I live in Ohio but it's not very close to Kings Island. (~2 Hours).

Ugh I have a friend like that who talks to the monsters and ruins it for everyone. I love haunted stuff even though I get scared shitless every time. And as much as my friends try to make me courageous everytime it's the same thing lol. I manage to lose my voice from screaming everytime the next day. It really sucks because if I show any fear like 20 more monsters just come and frighten me. One time I got chased by a Micheal Myers for like 5 minutes. Now that shit was fucking scary.

From working there I'll tell you that Wonderland's Halloween Haunt is much better than from 2 years ago. Go this next weekend it'll likely be the last weekend that's quiet. Thye have like 2 more mazes and some shows going through the night. Though do tell me if you go Wishy cause I could probably help you out with a small discount.

A fair amount of theme parks near me have Halloween based events. Most of my friends go to Busch Gardens' Halloween thing, but in Orlando Universal's Halloween Horror Nights is supposed to scare you shitless, but be excellent

I've been to Busch Gardens Williamsburg's Hallowscream event a few times (it's only 30 minutes away from where I live), and even though I've yet to have had a truly terrifying experience there, I still really, really enjoy the atmosphere. I think there's much to be said about it being voted "World's Best Theme Park."

Not that I really expect anyone to go all the way to Japan just for this but...

Fuji-Q Highland's (located in Yamanashi, Japan) haunted hospital attraction looks absolutely amazing. Try looking it up on youtube.
