move 1: Dragon Dance
move 2: Waterfall
move 3: Earthquake
move 4: Ice Fang / Tera Blast / Taunt
Item: Life Orb / Lum Berry
ability: Moxie / Intimidate
nature: Jolly
evs: 252 Atk / 252 Spe / 4 HP
tera type: Grass / Ground / Flying

[SET COMMENTS]
* With Dragon Dance and its solid movepool and typing, Gyarados becomes a terrifying Dragon Dance Sweeper.

* Earthquake is Gyarados's best coverage option against Toxapex, Magnezone, and Water Absorb Clodsire.

* Tera Blast allows Gyarados to give itself another coverage option with various Tera types or provide a reliable Flying STAB attack for it to use after Terastallization.

* Ice Fang is valuable coverage versus Grass- and Dragon-type Pokemon who may try to deal with Gyarados, such as Dragonite and Hydreigon.

* Taunt shuts down passive Pokemon and status users such as Corviknight, Toxapex, Amoonguss, opening the door for more opportunities to sweep.

Abilities
==========
*Moxie: Moxie gives Gyarados sweeping potential after picking off off weakened foes like Hippowdon and Breloom, which reduces its reliance on Dragon Dance.

*Intimidate: Intimidate gives Gyarados more opportunities to set up on weakened physical attackers, such as Choice Band Garchomp and Choice Band Tera Dragon Dragapult.

Items
==========

* Life Orb: Life Orb boosts Grass Tera Blast enough to potentially 2HKO Dondozo and OHKO Rotom-W and secures the OHKO against Dragapult with +1 Ice Fang.

* Lum Berry: Lum Berry helps protect Gyarados from status and makes it easier to set up on sleep inducers such as Clodsire, Breloom, and Amoonguss.

Tera Types
==========
*Grass: Grass Tera eliminates Gyarados's weakness to Electric type attacks such as Rotom-W's Volt Switch and gives it an immunity to Spore from the likes of Breloom and Amoonguss.

*Ground: In addition to gaining a immunity to Electric-type attacks and giving Gyarados a resistance to rock-type attacks that threaten it, Gound Tera also boosts the power of Earthquake.

*Flying: While not helping it's matchup versus Pokemon that threaten it, Tera Flying gives Gyarados access to a very dangerous STAB Flying move once it is boosted.

The waterfall bullet point isn’t really needed, STAB attacks are pretty self explanatory, so you can probably remove that to reduce clutter.

instead of specifying a specific type tera blast, use the bullet point to explain how Gyarados is capable of using it with a variety of tera types to augment it’s rather limited movepool with important coverage or more reliable flying STAB.

ice fang bullet point should be re worded a bit imo, say it’s valuable coverage for grass and dragon type mons,

Separate the intimidate bullet point into its own section, on the dex we have a different area where each abilities pros and cons are shown, like this
FA627167-CB42-488E-8152-AF5BC2021D87.jpeg
This just helps with copying the analysis over to the dex, and makes it look cleaner overall, while you do this, you could take the option to note how Moxie allows Gyarados to snowball very quickly once it manages to grab a KO.

Otherwise this looks quite good, once these are implemented you can consider this QC APPROVED!

Oh one more thing actually, make sure to add a credits section so everyone gets mentioned for their work in making the ananlyses!

here’s a copy paste template for you

Abilities
==========
*Moxie: Moxie allows Gyarados to snowball out of control if it gets a KO after a boost. (Is there anything more descriptive that could go here? The current statement is just what Moxie does by definition)

*Intimidate: Intimidate gives Gyarados more opportunities to set up on weakened physical attackers. (Maybe give some examples of which phys attackers it can set up on)

Items
==========
* Life Orb: GLife Orb gives a boost to all of Gyarados attacks and helps Gyarados sweep in the late-(add)game. (If there are any relevant calcs you get with LO but miss out on without, would be relevant here over the definition)

GP 1/1
GP Team Done

I can give this a second look if more examples are added btw, just ping me

So for the specific examples GP asked for, here's some to include!

Ice Fang - The big targets to mention include Hydreigon and Dragonite.

Life Orb - It lets Gyaraods OHKO Dragapult with +1 Ice Fang, and it lets unboosted Tera Grass potentially 2HKO Dondozo with Tera Blast, and OHKO offensive Rotom-W with Grass Tera Blast.

Moxie - I'd talk about how having less pressure to set up Dragon Dance can really help Life Orb sets snowballing against picking off foes that'd otherwise threaten Gyarados with dangerous status moves, like Hippowdon or Breloom.

Intimidate - It might be best to rephrase this to focus on Gyarados surviving some really powerful blows it would otherwise get KOed by before setting up. Think about mentioning stuff like Choice Band Garchomp Outrage, or Tera Dragon Choice Band Dragapult Dragon Darts (assuming its Infiltrator).

Hey Ultima-Z , any ETA on implementing the GP checks and the stuff I mentioned? Gyarados seems to be viable in Series 2, so getting this done would get its Series 2 update onsite pretty quickly too!

Hey Isaiah , since Ultima-Z hasn't shown up in about a week and Series 2 has started, I went ahead and implemented the GP checks myself, so I'm pinging you since you asked for it once examples were added.

Ultima-Z don't feel too bad about this, but please try to implement GP checks in a more timely manner next time!
