* Alternating between Substitute and Protect after setting up Leech Seed allows Meowscarada to slowly gain HP if it is not OHKOed by the foe. It is a potent Speed trap, meaning most weaker, slower foes lose to it.
* With Protean, Meowscarada can gain more useful defensive typings, such as Normal, Water, or Fairy, for the entire battle.
* Chilling Water allows Meowscarada to defeat Arcanine and Skeledirge.
* Charm nets wins against non-Choice Band Iron Hands and Garchomp.
* Mental Herb gives Meowscarada better matchups against Taunt users like Annihilape, Corviknight, and Kingambit, as well as Encore users like Gardevoir.
* Alternatively, Chople Berry + Leaf Storm defeats most Great Tusk. After Protect, Chople Berry also comes in handy versus other Pokemon with Fighting-type coverage like Arcanine.
* The Defense and HP investment allow Meowscarada to defeat Choice Band Donphan. With low HP investment, Meowscarada also gains relatively more from Leech Seed. Maximum Speed allows Meowscarada to set up Leech Seed against as many Pokemon as possible.
* When using four status moves, use a Jolly nature to maximize Struggle damage. With Chilling Water or Leaf Storm, use a Timid nature instead.
* Using Protect before using Leech Seed against the likes of Donphan and Talonflame allows Meowscarada to survive Gunk Shot, Brave Bird, and Flare Blitz.
* Use Leech Seed turn 1 to stay a Grass-type against foes like Azumarill, Bellibolt, and Dondozo.
* Use Taunt turn 1 to maintain positive matchups against Espathra and Prankster Sableye.

* Charm nets wins against non-Gunk Shot Annihilape (defiant go brr) , Iron Hands, and Garchomp.
* Mental Herb gives Meowscarada better matchups against Taunt users like Annihilape, Corviknight, and Corviknight (matchup so good it's mentioned twice!) , as well as Encore users like Iron Valiant and Gardevoir.
* Alternatively, Chople Berry + Leaf Storm defeats all Great Tusk and other Pokemon with Fighting-type coverage like Arcanine.(maybe change the arcanine part since chople + leaf storm leaves no way to beat arc unless it lives cc into espeed)

I'm unsure if this really matters too much for Gardevoir, because Choice Scarf Gardevoir is always using Moonblast and attempting to 2HKO. aft

* Does Flower Trick do anything?

yeah it beats some Greninja sets. Banned Pokemon aside, it does not do anything that's really notable from everything I know, so I'd suggest removing it.

Probs mention why we like to invest defense on this instead of HP? This one isn't too much of a problem.
