Gliscor [FlingOrb]

Overview

- Using a Toxic Orb with Fling is a unique and powerful way to abuse Acrobatics
- Poison Heal gives Gliscor some extra longevity over the Flying Gem set
- It also makes Gliscor a great status aborber for your team, if you don't have on yet.
-Acrobatics and Earthquake have great coverage together

FlingOrb
Move 1: Fling
Move 2: Protect
Move 3: Earthquake/Ice Fang
Move 4:Acrobatics
Item: Toxic Orb
Ability: Poison Heal
Nature: Impish/Jolly
EVs: 252 HP/4 Att/252 SDef or 4 HP/252 Att/252 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]
Immediately after you bring Gliscor in, you use Fling on the switch (be careful though, because you need to Protect first to activate Poison Heal if you bring in Gliscor after your opponent fainted). This poisons your target wich is nice of course, but more importantly, it gets rid of your item, meaning Acrobatics will be boosted to an incredible base 110 Power. Protect is there to make sure you can activate Poison Heal, and it's also useful to get a free health boost from Poison Heal. Earthquake brings a nice secondary STAB move and it comes with some great extra coverage. However, you can choose Ice Fang over Earthquake to deal with enemy Gliscor and dragons that have a 4x Ice Weak (such as Dragonite or Salamance).

[ADDITIONAL COMMENTS]
-If you want to increase your longevity or want to stall out opponents, go for the first EV spread and a Impish nature.
-If you want to hit somewhat harder and faster, go for the second EV spread with a Jolly nature
- You can run Fire Fang if you really want to to ruin enemy's like Ferrothorn ir Scizor, but keep in mind that you will lose a great deal of coverage.

[COUNTERS]
-Skarmory is one of it's biggest counter, only with Rotom, as it has immunity to one of it's STAB moves and resists the other.
-Rotom-W is it's main counter as it has an immunity to Earthquake, resists Acrobatics and can KO it with Hydro Pump.
-Anything that flies and can take Acrobatics.

Why would we use this over the standard Toxic set, which can consistently poison multiple foes (Fling + Toxic Orb is one-time use only) in addition to having an extra moveslot for either Substitute or Protect? Even with a fully-activated Acrobatics, Gliscor's power is extremely insufficient, which is already proven by Earthquake (which has 150 Power in STAB, but doesn't hit quite hard enough). Even pushing all of that, you look like you haven't tested it out due to the ambiguity of the Set Comments, EVs, and the moveset itself.

I apologize, but, rather than write up Set Comments and an Overview (this is not an analysis), I would advise explaining why this must be put on-site, as explained in QC Documentations.

...wasn't this set rejected by QC when the analysis was being written up? Before posting a set you should make sure to see if it's mentioned in the analysis' thread and thus whether it's already been debated and mulled over.

Why would someone use this over the offensive Acrobatics set already on-site?

Because this set does not focus on poisoning your targets. Acrobatics will give nice neutral coverage with Earthquake, but still give you the extra poison heal that you have on the standard Toxic sets.

so.... your reasoning for this set being included is because "Acrobatics gives nice coverage?"

This set tries to do the standard Toxic set and that AcroBat set at the same time and it just does not work. I have actually tried this set and just found other sets much more useful. A "One Time Toxic" is pretty shit when you have to give up a moveslot as it is and GLiscor has a ton of other moves it could use instead of Fling such as Taunt, Toxic, Substitute or Swords Dance. Sure, Acrobat is nice and all but the more offensive set showcases it a lot better than this set does

This set was left off of the original analysis for a reason. Considering that the set was even in "standard" use at the time when the analysis was written, and it didn't make it on, it's obvious that this set has been rejected already.
