Slate 2 Part 6A: Art
You will have 96 hours (4 days) to come up with art based on the concept submitted:

Mandrelec, the electric salamander - inspired by the yellow spotted salamander (the yellow spots are actually electric luminescent spots sparkling with electricity) but it is big, fat and physically bulky like the Chinese giant salamander (but not as ugly).

Please note that art is not essential to making the Pokemon playable; if we receive a low number of submissions we may delay art for this CAP or we may have an initial sprite that gets refined later.

Mandrelec

Goes with a blue electricity theme, to distinguish it from all the other electrics in the gen.
The concept is still break the mold, after all!

In addition to the electric spots it also has a pair of solar panels on its back, generating energy as it sunbathes for heat.

Wanted to try going with a black body so that the yellow "spots" really pop, and it turned out pretty good! Getting the incandescent coil shape right for the eye was actually kinda hard lol

and for the record, the chinese giant salamander is actually a very handsome lad, i will not accept this slander

and the winner is... zxgzxg, and what an adorable CAP we've got!

Mandrelec, the Spotted Pokemon
Height: 3'9"
Weight: 95 lbs. / 43 kg
Pokedex Entries:
Red and Blue - This Pokemon uses its electricity to subdue and consume much larger foes.
Yellow - Its spots deal a deadly electrical shock upon touch, and the lights they emit scare away other Pokemon.
Stadium - Its electricity can unintentionally harm those imprudent enough to be near it, especially if in the water.
How to Obtain: Has a 20% chance of being encountered when fishing on Route 10, at Level 15. There would also be a second trainer on the route, above the Jr. Trainer A that blocks the way to Rock Tunnel, that would feature a Mandrelic alongside a Voltorb. This trainer would hint the player towards the Power Plant that lies currently inaccessible below.
