SV OU Galarian Wheezing Phat Balance

** Your feedback and suggestions are very much welcomed and needed. I want to make this team as good as possible, both for myself and for those who are in need of teams during the early stages of this meta. Thank You for taking the time to look through my post and extra huge thanks if you end up using it **

How's it going guys, I am back for my 4th ever RMT post! With the DLC finally out, the meta has completely shifted on its head and its such a fun and exciting time. There are a lot of cool offensive threats currently out right now, but i wanted to build around a more defensive/supportive pokemon in :weezing-galar:. Neutralizing gas is such a funny ability and can make this mon incredibly annoying to deal with. I decided to go with a more Physically Defensive spread on :weezing-galar: as its has a really great defense stat of 120. The biggest thing that is holding back this mon is the lack of a reliable recovery option. While it does get access to pain-split, its simply not good enough to allow wheezing to get the most out of its supportive capabilities. Despite all that, its still not the worst thing in the world and its still very fun to use. I am currently in the 1500's with this team and it is doing pretty well. I will continue the climb to try and take this team the distance, but for those who are low on teams and don't build, here's my small contribution lol

The Team:
:great tusk: :dondozo: :moltres: :meowscarada: :baxcalibur: :weezing-galar:

The Team V2:

Great Tusk @ Leftovers
Ability: Protosynthesis
Tera Type: Water
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Impish Nature
- Earthquake
- Stealth Rock
- Knock Off
- Rapid Spin

First up we have :great tusk:. This mon is still a fantastic defensive mon and this team's hazard removal and rocker. With so many loaded dice baxcaliburs currently running around, rocks have become incredibly important to get up and also keep off. :great tusk: is still able to do both those things very effectively while also providing further support with knock off. Ice spinner can also be a decent option to replace knock off to hit :landorus therian: and :gliscor:, but even then, the team has decent tools to handle them both.

Dondozo @ Leftovers
Ability: Unaware
Tera Type: Grass
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 SpD
Careful Nature
- Liquidation
- Curse
- Rest
- Sleep Talk

Up next he have :dondozo:. I originally had a fully defensive spread on this mon, but the team was very top heavy when it came to its defenses. To help out with that, I went with a fully SpDef :dondozo:. Even before the DLC dropped, I have been loving this set because of how annoying it is to break. :dondozo: is a mon that can easily win end games and is, of course, a fantastic check to many set up sweepers. One of which is manaphy, whose been running around with its tailglow set. You do have to be aware of tera grass/electric tera blast, but we do have a tera grass of our own to help with that. When it comes to the item, i personally like lefties, but heavy duty boots or covert cloak work just as well on this mon.
Moltres-Pokemon-PNG-Pic.png

Moltres @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Flame Body
Tera Type: Fairy
EVs: 248 HP / 8 SpA / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
- Flamethrower
- Will-O-Wisp
- Roost
- U-turn

The other SpDef mon on the team is going to be :moltres:. This mon is going to be switching in on a lot of special hit and even a good amount of physical mons to fish for the burn and help alleviate the pressure some of our mons may be under. between flamebody and will-o-wisp, :moltres: can be incredibly annoying to teams because of its ability to roost up while it fishes for burns or to throw off a will-o-wisp and cancel out lefties/allow for constant chip. :moltres: is also going to be our answer to fairy types on the special side of things. Keeping :moltres: healthy is going to very important if mons like :iron valiant: are still around.

0908Meowscarada.png

Meowscarada @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Protean
Tera Type: Dark
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpA / 252 Spe
Hasty Nature
- Flower Trick
- Knock Off
- Trick
- U-turn

For speed control, we have a choice scarf :meowscarada:. I really wanted to have a choice banded on meow, but the speed was too good to give up for a team like this. With a scarf, you are going to be outspeeding almost everything in the meta (scarf pult is not real lol). The speed allows up to keep up with booster :iron valiant: (be careful for vacuum wave), +1 :baxcalibur:, :dragapult:, and any other scarfers that are bellow meow's speed tier, which is a lot. Flower trick and knock off are really great and consistent moves for damage, trick allows us to cripple a mon if need be. Trick can very much be replaced, but in the face of phat mons or in some situations, set up sweepers, having that trick option is always nice especially when meow doesn't have a good chance to kill.

Baxcalibur @ Loaded Dice
Ability: Thermal Exchange
Tera Type: Dragon
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Scale Shot
- Icicle Spear
- Earthquake
- Swords Dance

Our second to last mon is going to be loaded dice :baxcalibur:, how honest lol. With :baxcalibur: getting access to scale shot, this mon has gotten even more threatening. Being able to finally squeeze in dragon stab while also having a way to boost up your speed gives this mon the perfect coverage into almost any team. While there are already debates on just how good this set really is, we are nonetheless going to be running it. With the amount of :alolan ninetales: + :galarian slowking: there are right now, having a bax of our own to take advantage of snow is such a nice thing to have. Whether it's snow, our u-turns, or just hard swapping, :baxcalibur: is able to come in on a lot of mons and be immediately threaten to win the game. Of course, you still have to be smart of when and how you bring this mon in and because of the lack of boots, :baxcalibur: can easily get chipped which can be very annoying. This mon is going to force a lot fo teras so do be careful.

1694742005148.png

Lastly, we have the star of the show :weezing-galar:. This mon's ability to turn off other mon's abilities creates very interesting situations that you can take advantage of. Denying weather, poison heal, magic guard, regenerator, guts/huge power, etc. can make this mon incredibly annoying to deal with. Currently, one of my favorite interactions is being able to poison :garganacl: and burn :baxcalibur:. With its typing this mon is easily able to take hits physical :iron valiant:, :mandibuzz:, :samurott-hisui:, :azumaril:, etc. and is able to rack up poision damage on things like :gliscor: and clefable:

Some notable threats against the team include: :zapdos:, :munkidori:, :glimmora:, mixed :garchomp:, :sandy shocks: if it tera ice turn 1 and kills meow

** Do let me know if there are others that I am currently not aware of **

** With the advice of others, I have made a V2 of the team that has a rotom-wash over dondozo to help alleviate the bad matchup into things like offensive electrics (zapdos, sandy shocks, thundurus-t), glimmoras, blood moon ursaluna, and even ogerpon to an extent (t-wave support). Like always, you are free to change anything you'd like about the team, but do lmk because i'd love to see the possible innovations of this team! **

Love seeing Weezing-G getting love. It is an absolute monster with Neutralizing gas ability! I replaced maushold on my payspam team that put 3 of my accounts top 100 with this thing since it can also defog on gholdengo and my oh my! Just hit top 200 with the 2 testing alts I made for the new meta!!

I have been running it full phys def as it SMOKES bax and gambit after a will-o (cancels supreme overlord boosts). Leftovers protect for recovery, will-o, defog, and strange steam. It’s incredible right now.
