Galarian Darmanitan easily applies offensive pressure thanks to the sheer damage output of its moves and Speed with the combo of Gorilla Tactics + Choice Scarf, allowing it to act as a potent revenge killer and wallbreaker for Ice teams. Flare Blitz provides coverage against Steel-types including Corviknight and Ferrothorn. Earthquake further complements Galarian Darmanitarian's moveset to provide nearly unresisted coverage alongside its STAB Icicle Crash, OHKOing Fire-types that resist its other moves such as Ceruledge and Heatran. U-turn allows Galarian Darmanitan to gain momentum on predicted switches and wears down checks over time. As Galarian Darmanitan can struggle with Water-types such as Toxapex, Slowbro, and Araquanid, Kyurem and Alolan Ninetales make for formidable partners, as they hit these foes super effectively with Freeze-Dry and can take advantage of their passivity to apply further pressure on the opposing team. Getting Choice locked into the wrong move often forces Galarian Darmanitan to switch out; therefore, Piloswine and Articuno act as defensive partners to resort to in such scenarios. Articuno and Cloyster can provide entry hazard control to mitigate Galarian Darmanitan's weakness to Stealth Rock, raising its longevity, with the former also providing pivoting to ease Galarian Darmanitan's entry into the field. Other offensive partners such as Weavile and Cetitan can complement Galarian Darmanitan in applying offensive pressure to overwhelm opposing walls and potentially sweep.
